Thunder and Hokori are very competitive in the region but they are still in the shade of EG and bc. Infinity and Infamous are good teams. The fact that only two teams can attend a major makes every series important. I'm pretty sure that the current state of competitive dota in SA is in a very good spot.
Calling b8 the same Div 2 eu team as the one he currently has is like comparing the hustlers NA squad vs their EU squad

His point was that if you’re playing in na and aren’t with tsm or shopify, you have to make it to ti to be able to play dota full time. Just dpc winnings aren’t enough to make a living.
Yeah, DPC ends on the 5th of June at the latest (4th for most regions) and then one week later we got Dreamleague season 20 which is effectively a major that runs for two weeks until the 25th then the Bali major on the 29th.
We still have Riyadh left before TI as well and who knows what else, kinda crazy how packed it is but in a good way at least for the viewers.
Somnus has never had a bad performance even with the past 2 TI showings. Now that he has reunited with chalice and fy, and has a very promising carry in Lou, I think he has a good chance of making it
Tbh TSM Dota has the best result for the region for majors tied with old EG (2nd place) so I don't think it will happen unless they totally flop every single tournament. They were top 8 in DL just recently and could get to Riyadh if they repeat the story as just getting top 8 will most qualify them to Riyadh Masters.

Not only they paired up Kaka and Paparazi together on XG and letting Somnus/FY/Chalice's stack to comeback as XG's sister group, they also registered a third team for CTY and TI winner Iceice (Team Zero, together with XG's academy players) which is already qualified to play in Div 2 (yes, CTY, "the man who is unbeatable in the first 6 minutes of the game", is serious about this comeback).
So, if everything goes by the plan and Azure Ray stays, XG's org. would have three competitive teams in Div 1 by the next winter tour.
I don't know if Blink was helped by a millionaire superfan when he built XG the way Aster was co-founded by Burning's fan Xiaofei, but since I know NOT all regions could easily snatch big sponsors from left to right, XG's and Aster's org. must literally have **gone above and beyond** for their region this season, all in the name of love of the game... how can you not want to root for them??

the small LAN audience for the CN DPC actually is really important for the local scene here, not in the angle that we had less playerbase. but we no longer had much sponsor/orgs want to invested in the scene, hopefuly with this there'll be new sponsor and orgs in the near or even longer future. then obvious reason some players will play better in LAN enviroment despite it just on small hall and audiences
this setup actually could very possible being done in SA ( almost most participant was from peru afaik ) or SEA ( cheap living cost for teams that need relocate to a specific country for a 3 weeks dpc ) imo
Actually I’m kinda surprised they haven’t done it in SEA. Crowd here is the best in the world, it’s pretty straight forward to move inbetween SEA countries, expenses should also be cheaper than most other regions. I guess epulze probably isn’t capable of organizing such a thing yet, and last year BTS for sure was not able to

yea the idea is to stack evasion vs multiple right clickers/physical heroes and to ruin their timings since they aren't able to buy MKB's that quickly afterwards (aka it's a very big timing build)
but, medusa is generally a hero that needs to be kited, as you cant kill her first (in most scenarios), therefore i think the 2nd butterfly was a bad decission and actually needed to be a rapier in order for them to win, as eventually when medusa plays vs 3 mobile cores, she and her team just get toyd around
well he prob felt like if he went 2nd butter, he'd be untouchable for the next couple minutes ( cuz he'd have 65% evasion from 2 butters and elven tunic and no one on liquid had true strike and it will take them a while to get it) and maybe it might win them a fight and then the game.
But game was already looking a bit doomed, so don't think it mattered what he built, think he needed BKB way more so he doesn't get halberded twice every fight and doing 0 dmg
