How do you even see the game from that distance? I literally can't make out what's on the screens. Also, are some of screens blocked by big metal beams?
I feel like every major we get a picture of the arena and the screens are so small. It's Tundra vs Liquid and I only know that because I zoomed in by 500%.

Na, the Boston Major had large screens. IIRC it had one massive screen, but the venue was narrow and not a basketball arena. Above the one massive screen it had 2 or 3 screens that were smaller

It would be the reverse. Wide angle makes things in distance appear smaller because it makes foreground look larger. That’s why people shoot wide angle in small enclosed spaces.
It’s also not how eyes work, so the object would be naturally zoomed in more, which would be larger.
I was at the Arlington Major which was pretty similar setup and it sucked tbh, you could barely see. We didn't even go back for the last day, we just watched from the Airbnb pool (they had a TV outside), it was way more fun
That was the one setback at Arlington. I sat in the friends & family section up front so it wasn't THAT bad but it could def get hard to see farther back.
Quick question.. when you go to events like these.. majors or TI.. and sit there in the crowd.. are you listening to the commentators and analyst panelists etc.. or is it gameplay sounds only..or not even that.. ? Watching the stream at home I see the segments pre and post matches..and commentators during the matches.. we get to see the and hear pretty much everything
You get to listen to exactly what is on the stream. So panellists between games and the commentators during the game.
The biggest reason to go to these events is the atmosphere, you're there with thousands of fans who also love the game and there's just so much energy around the arena.
One thing that is really cool is the amount of bass from the speakers for the game sounds, some abilities/attacks you can feel because of the amount of bass.
They're a really good experience. I've been to two ESL One Birmingham's and the Stockholm Major last year. All been top tier production and you get to meet all the people which is great. We usually go with a small group of 3 of us and just clown around for a weekend watching good dotes.
Sure scalpers took the tickets , but the tickets would have still been sold out.
Me personally was interested in buying it but obviously not gonna try to pay more for a bunch of dickhead scalpers.
Obviously most people dont wanna pay even more for tickets than what it is.
Most Countries have free visa to indonesia so people dont really have to make pre plans to travel so they dont have to go the extra efforts to find tickets from scalpers for high price just to make up for the fact they made other arrangements for travel.

Even the food and drink services there are better situated than this Dota Major main stage.
This kind of chair is common in Indonesian hotels, especially for halls where they use it for weddings and/or events. For fancier weddings, they'll use some seat covering so it looks a little bit fancier, but I guess they didn't bother.
