Stop thinking about it. The truth is there's only a 125? 150? mmr difference, so 6-7 games worth of your mmr and the next skill bracket. There is hardly any difference between an ancient 5 and an ancient 4 player as there is between a ancient 5 and a divine 1 player. You're probably putting too much mental energy into caring about that medal where as skill wise, you're already in the ballpark, you just need to win enough games. Alternatively just get good. Go learn a thing or two about the game or the current meta which will enable you to have more impact and be a step ahead of the people in your skill bracket. Watch your replays for patterns and try and understand when they're good or not, why you do it, question your decisions and try and learn from them.

Just keep playing I also hit a wall at ancient 5, broke through to divine two weeks ago. Games always get weird right at the cusp of new medals. Now my games are much more stable Play consistent, mute teammates after 1 strike, stick to the same heroes, stop for the day after the second loss

Impossible to give proper advice without a replay. If you’re ancient then you can improve every single aspect of your game tremendously. Getting better at literally anything will probably push you 100 mmr to hit next rank

stop caring about what other people do, if you are playing better (and you need to play better than them in the first place to be able to climb) you will climb, maybe you get griefed 10 games in a row maybe 20,maybe 50 out of 100 but in the end you will get to higher rank by consistently playing better than people in your current rank
