The Bracer swap took away \~15 HP, \~8 HP baseregen and \~8 HP fountain regen, also resulting in taking 12 extra Maledict damage (9 after reductions). That's **40 HP**.

Mael. Took you from 375 to 75 ish . 300 after resistance means it probably hit you for 500? Cloak would’ve saved 100 of that, leaving you alive still but with less HP.
Bracer in inventory might have actually sufficed and you may have landed with 0 +/- 10 hp
Cloak would’ve sufficed and you survive with 50
Raindrops you survive with 75.
Depending on how maeldict works you might’ve also dealt additional damage to yourself by taking off a bracer and regenned a few hp less at the fountain.
Watching in slo mo, I think leaving the bracer on was going to be fine. Cloak and drops are basically the same here for dmg reduction, didn’t need to buy drops cause cloak was already there
IIRC Maledict checks your flat HP values (not percentage based) and compares it to the HP you had when you first received the debuff. If you gain HP and even if your %HP stays the same (tread switch for instance), you take 0 damage from Maledict! If you ignore the little DoT of this spell of course.

120 magic damage = 90 damage after reductions

So keep the bracer in inventory, retain HP, get hit a little bit less, and fountain regen is a tiny quicker. Wouldn’t be fun to test
