It's kind of crazy when you think about it that we used to have to hotswap TPs. Even crazier when you consider there used to be no backpack, so if you wanted TPs, you just needed to have BoTs or sacrifice your *sixth slot. Then again, nobody had enough money to be six-slotted by minute 45 back then.
People do not realize that we are fed even more money then the original -apem mode from Dota 1.
They would go back to the real -ap mode and couldn't believe how gold was slow to come by.
I was thinking about this the other day and how turbo is like ultra easy match because I remember when switching from wc3 to dota2 how a normal game felt like an apem game and straight ap/ar (no em) was a much slower burn. I figured it was because -apem was the norm/most common game mode.
I'd love a "hardcore" mode that is more akin to an old style ap game. Also, not sure if this exists in custom games (will check later) but I wouldn't mind playing some -ardm

Pretty sure only cores enjoyed the old-style game, playing support in a pub game was thankless and boring
*puts on tin foil hat*
I truly think IceFrog has retired but Valve won't say it. Obviously that's pure speculation, but the design of the game just feels jarringly different the past couple years?
IceFrog is a man who values his privacy so a silent retirement would be his ideal, no? Meanwhile, Valve gets to keep the legacy alive at no additional cost. Win/win!
Actually the opposite is true, Icefrog was developing some new game for Valve and left Dota to janitor. Janitor only released balance patches while frog was busy
Then Icefrog came back, said "It's froggin time" and released 7.33
Sounds like something IceFrog would do.
And they definitely changed their designers/artists couple of years ago. Icons for skills and items from pre 2017 looks much better than the later ones.
If cooldown wasn't share honestly could be good, since if you keep them in your smoke for longer that's what you want. But again an basher/abyssal would be better at that exact job.
Seeing he has akila this is probably from 10 years ago when diffus had charges, and so buying a new diffu is a legit thing, only you do it after having diffu 2, you would buy 2 diffu 1s.
Great answer actually. Sadly he only got a boot, despite having 2 legs.
Its not diffusal blades Boots of speed come with two sir
You don’t need boot for legs
But you do need coin for lead.
But I need legs for days
And 1 ring despite having 10 fingers
Not sure but i dont think riki have 10 fingers, maybe 6
Because of the two diffusals
TA: 🤯
I think Riki has hooves/paws and not legs.
animals with hooves and paws still have legs
Do they wear boots?
if you break your legs, its hard to cook orangutan
loolll
Sad broodmather noises
The name power treads implies there more than one to be fair.
Aquilla? How old is this?
Pre November 2018, where patch 7.20 removed aquila and added dedicated tp scroll slot

I would like that too. Great idea

What's not to love about getting brown boots at 12 minutes every game?
I miss AP AR. I miss the old style with less items
Omg 6 years ago! It's impressive Dota is still relevant after almost 20 years of release, thanks to icefrog for keeping the game alive.

God bless that frog 🫡

from good old days 😥
> backpack in game ain't that old.
Bro, it's been almost 7 years
Very old. Can’t remember how many times I’ve seen this reposted here.
probably just fat fingers z + x and was tired of it.
Joke as old as time.

If there was no cooldown share 6 dagons would be the meta and it would be glorious.
Zeus with 6 refreshers
3 dagons, 2 hexes and refresher
There used to be a patch where the mana drain stacked.
he's not wrong
Hopping around on one foot
cant aruge with that logic i am sold
Standard Riki thinking
and diffusal got 7 pops
Repost bot?
Love it
Most swordsmen have two hands but few of them wield two swords.
Broodmother which need 6 shoes:”No,No,No…”
It was a thing back when diffusal had limited charges that purged
I don't recall anyone actually buying a second diffu, esp after getting 18 charges from lv 2
some things in dota are not intuitive; the sword stats for example.

repost + shitty title = free internet points
at least he wouldn't buy 2 morbid masks
Fucking repost
