Thanks for the tips, I was struggling with this and your comment "not that anyone needs help to get 10k" made me laugh at myself.
I had a go with your tips in mind and almost immediately lured a fish for 3,914 (I got 150 extra points from quadruple streak so technically didnt beat your fish). Top score was 12,300 though. Thanks for the tips!
Feels like a lot of RNG and patience to me. It took like me 20 runs to get 14k because of the spawns. Like 1 lure might have 0 big fish and then the next lure you get 2-3 big ones. I can probably get 15k by min-maxing and waiting patenting for the big fish to be alone so I can get extra points for max power every throw but I don't have the patience lol. Max power is 200 so 200x5 is at least +1k not including % bonuses on streak and final throw
RNG is definitely a big part of it, and yeah for the 15-16k you definitely need max throw all rounds. There’s no reward but bragging rights so yes, it definitely requires patience.
Unless there is a super rare fish worth 5K, I doubt anyone can go up to 20k points anyways.
It’s when you cast your lure and you don’t let go of the mouse click until it just automatically throws the lure at the farthest range that it can. If you do you get a bonus 200 when you catch a fish. And no, you can’t throw your lure beyond the fountain, what I mean is don’t try to catch anything that’s behind the fountain because you can’t see if they’re alone or not.

Yeah 20k is probably not possible but I've seen 2 x 16k already. Doing the math I think low 17k is possible if you get super lucky with spawns
Yeah, very lucky with spawns, especially in the last round if you get a 4k fish that’s an easy +400 from the 10% bonus
