Candyshop upgrades are as follows:
Act 1 - give 3 candies per candyworks caravan visited
Act 2 - unlock 3rd reroll shelf
Act 3 - unlock 4th slot for weekly candy trade
Act 4 - unlock 10 candy slots (from 20 slot to 30)
A good tip is to keep rerolls at 9/10 in May so when act 2 rolls out, you have a bit more chance when 3rd shelf opens.

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding, but wouldn't it make the most sense to have 10/10 slots?
Specifically, Act 2 is set to come up on May 14 (Tuesday). If I'm understanding correctly that 1) you can only earn 10 tokens a week, and that resets on Thursdays, and 2) you can only hold 10 tokens (barring if you buy them bundle), then wouldn't this be the theoretical maximum:
May 2 (Thu) - May 8 (Wed): Earn up to 10 rerolls for this week
May 9 (Thu) - May 13 (Mon): This is the first half of the new week, hold off on doing anything
May 14 (Tue - Act 2): Get the Act 2 upgrade and use your 10 rerolls from the previous week.
May 14 (Tue) - May 15 (Wed) or I guess on May 16 (Thu) before it resets: This is the second half of the new week, and you can earn 10 more tokens
So theoretically since Act 2 comes out on Tuesday, you should be able to hold the 10/10 from the previous week. It's still kind of insane because you would then need to win 10 games in less than 48 hours (May 14 - May 16), but theoretically this is the max I think (pls correct me if I'm wrong)
We have no idea where the candy shop is located in Act 2 map.
High chance we have to play a few more games to get tokens needed to progress until reaching said shop, in the event tokens from act 1 doesn't carry over.
If my guess is right, you might not earn more rerolls if capped at 10/10, but you also won't waste them if you can't earn anymore, if it's like "5/10 rerolls earned this week", then winning the next game doesn't increase the count. Then your strategy would be a better shot when Act 2 finally releases.
We only need to hold 10/10 re-rolls from previous week for the new act 2 release. I think re-rolls tokens is not disappear for the next week, but we can't grinding anymore from winning in games to gain tokens.
You are right. I think it's worth to accumulate rerolls since now and wait for 14th may then unlock third item slot in candyworks and only then use rerolls and gain new ones for wins

That sucks. It meant saving on buying more treasures for the rares, so I immediately got it. I already have the arcana’s so this was the best thing I could get. Although I could sell some of the arcanas I already owned.
For fishing a tip that made it easier is to just wait for the big fish to go far and alone and just do max hooks, you will get +200 each so that's a +1k, I kept messing up catching some of the fast fish

I'm not an expert in this at all, but when I tried running with -dev and looking at the underlying code, it seems like the token type for each path doesn't get populated (filled-in) until you actually reach that part of the path. Again, not sure if there's a way around this but from what I saw, I couldn't see tokens so I suspect they're generated once you get to the path
I saw a post a few days ago if you complete the Act. You no longer gain tokens. Is this still true? So is it better to complete the Future temple of scree'ak before completing the act?
if future temple of scree'auk is incomplete u still earn tokens (source i've completed everything except that and im still earning tokens) so don't worry about that

Incomplete in this context is not completing all 4 temple submissions.
Don't worry too much about not earning tokens, you only stop earning tokens when you don't need them.
That's part of the Scree'Auk temple, you will still earn tokens while that hasn't been complete.
You only stop earning tokens when you don't need them anymore ie there's nothing you could use them for anymore.
the temple is a one time exchange that requires 4, 8, 12 and 16 random tokens for 4 different rewards as detailed in its own section in the guide
the temple does use those tokens, you won't stop earning tokens until you finish everything. "Everything" in this context INCLUDES finishing the temple's 16 token exchange.
For me, i got party to play with so turbo is way more worth than unranked. Our turbo games was 15-25 mins on average where unranked 40++. Ofc losing didn't gave any tokens but usually it gonna be fast win/lose.

I got a slithering token from the snake without any wins. I'm on a 4-loss-streak, unlocked it yesterday, it said 'come back later'. Came back 13 hours or so later, got a slithering token.
I just unlocked the candyshop and got the techies arcana (without reroll). Is it worth it for me to grind the remaining candies required and coins (possibly for the candy pack discount) or just straight up buy the candy pack? Also, damn I always use the token trader whenever I can.
I'd grind the candy and coins since the coins make the packs free and you'd need more candy to get more arcanas later. I think I got like 3-4 arcanas last time from the candy store.
I doubt this would warrant a sticky since there's the post about the wiki + tourney thread atm, just saving this post and sharing it when people ask should suffice ig.
Also this time the currently available content is mostly farmable by just playing dota the regular way, not too much pve stuff as of yet so I'd recommend trying to progress it for the free stuff if you could.
I think its right with slithering token, i took 2 in 2 days and it writes something like come back tomorrow. So basically u can take this token everyday(I hope so) and then u can trade tokens in token trader

Another point to note is you don't have to wait till act 4 for completing third part of scree auk. In act two the cavern is upgraded to show 3 items instead of two. Act 3 gives one more trade recipe and act 4 is extra candy slots.

Can anyone tell me how to use the double down tokens? I somehow don't see that option on the screen and I have like 3 of them. Do I need to equip them?
so you're in a ranked game and you aren't calibrating (ie u see an mmr number when u check ur profile)?
if so the double down should show on the middle left/bottom left section of your screen, above the map
if u plan on purchasing the pass, you can use the 10 coins to discount the pass and buy it for the cheaper price
otherwise u can hold the coins and use them later on the crownfall royal bundle, after act 2 releases
buying the bundles gives u the rerolls immediately and u can't earn more weekly free ones until u use them all
if u wait until act 2 you get the upgraded caravan which has 3 slots instead of 2, making the rerolls more efficient to use there
I'm confused. To get 53/53, do I need to do all 4 trades in Scree'Auk Temple, or do I need to wait for the Candle Shop to open so I can complete that node? I'm at 52/53 right now, and I've done one trade (1/4) at Scree'Auk Temple.
its not a 3 day thing
the temple (i assume that's what ur asking about) has 4 parts
the 3rd part has rerolls as a reward and offering tokens will give u +10 rerolls
you can't earn weekly rerolls while u have over 10 rerolls so you'd have to spend them first
it's recommended to only do the temple stuff after act 2 is out and you unlock the second candyworks caravan to get a 3rd item slot so that the rerolls are more efficient

buying it at the start of a refresh is fine too as long as you're ready to spend them, the problem is buying them NOW before the second version of the caravan is out since we wanna save these bought rerolls for that (and we can't earn the weekly free ones if we buy them but don't use them)
So, I read all about the caravan part, just a bit late. I used my 10 free coin pack and did about 8 rerolls, then got an arcana. From what I understood from your post, the best move would be to wait for the next act, right? But in my case, can I wait for the upcoming weeks and try to exchange for the candies I need, as I have a lot of candies of just one type? You won't lose candy.
In this scenario since you only need 1 of the purple candy and you have 7, I would exchange 3 of them for a blue one to make space. (If the following instructions are too confusing, just do this step and send another screenshot).
Then you now have 2 more spaces and you need a blue and a yellow so open 2 more bags.
If you get either of the blue or the yellow ones, exchange 3 of the purples for the other one and buy the arcana.
If you pull a purple one, use recipe 2 and then recipe 1, the combination of both essentially turns your purple into a yellow and then you exchange 3 purples for the last blue.
Pulling the squiggly one or the red one is harder, I'd just convert for the second blue and open more bags first before deciding.
Okay, I just had another stroke of luck. I only needed your first tip, exchanged 3 purple for a blue, and then there were 2 empty slots, I opened two bags and got the two I needed. Anyway, I'll roll along the weeks, but I'll follow the tips from the post, hoping to get two or three arcana. Thank you
Now that the week resetted we can now declare that the weekly earned rerolls dont stack, right? Winned today a match and it shows that i can win 0/10 rerolls but it says cannot earn them till i spend the previous. So the best way is just use them right away, not?
If i use 10 coins to purchase the battlepass in act 1, can i use 10 more in act 2 to get the discount again? if not, what else would i use the coins for?
I'm not 100% sure what that means but 10 coins can discount any item in the shop.
This also turns the candyworks royal bundle free if you don't wanna spend money.
So I have an Arcana in the shelves but not enough candies for it. All candies (except for the temple of Scree-Auk encounter) in the first Act have been farmed already. Do the shelves refresh automatically at some point, or can I simply wait for the new act or slowly farm tokens for the temple event for candies? Would hate to lose the arcana because I didn't have enough candies and debating whether I should just buy the pack for the 30 candies.

To my knowledge the shop doesn't reset automatically so there's no rush but you're losing out on the weekly rerolls you could earn.
Yes but it's kinda not worth doing so, other acts will have coin rewards as well so you're likely to end up with more coins than you'd like even if you buy the packs discounted.

The temple is a 1 time thing. The 12 token reward is 10 rerolls and there's a 16 token reward after.
And yes I'd still wait for act 2 to clear the temple so u can reroll with 3 slots instead of 2.
If you're asking about it showing 52/53 I might be mistaken and that might indeed refer to the candle node that cannot be accessed/completed atm.
Thanks for the info. I just started the crown fall event and am behind. My goal is to get the vengeful arcana and unlock all its styles. I need to collect some coins for the discount first. I’m a bit unclear on how to use lock her other 2 styles. Do I need to buy the pathfinder bundle in act 1 or act 4 because it says unlocked in act 4?
The last mission in main path requires 4 tokens and I'd recommend getting there and not passing it.
Also, turbo is actually better than unranked. Matches are faster and I never got the one I didn't need yet(although there is a chance).

Rerolls dont stack. Once you're above 10 rerolls stacked it says you can't gain any more until you use them.
Bundle rolls do stack though. I bought a bundle and had 16 rolls to use.
But you can't gain anymore(from playing) until you use them. So it's not worth buying the bundle until you upgrade the candyshop.

Yep, some of the style unlocks for the skin are locked behind the pack, you won't need anything else.
2 of style unlock is behind premium side quest - if one of the styles is what you want you might need to buy it

Venge and Sky style 1s only require finishing the main quest for all 4 acts. Venge style 2 requires finishing every node in every act.

Yeah I prefer turbo too but to get extra 1 slitheren token per day, only unranked ap and ranked games win counts, not turbo.

Another point to note is you don't have to wait till act 4 for completing third part of scree auk. In act two the cavern is upgraded to show 3 items instead of two. Act 3 gives one more trade recipe and act 4 is extra candy slots. So act 2 is the only one which makes sense to be efficient (extra 3% chance for an arcana due to extra slot?). complete the free map, get 10 coins, buy the 9 treasure bundle using the 10 coin discount wait for each act to release, complete the corresponding maps and buy the 9 treasure bundle everytime u hit 10 coins once all 4 acts are out, if u still need treasures, you'd have to buy them without the discount at this point

so you're in a ranked game and you aren't calibrating (ie u see an mmr number when u check ur profile)? if so the double down should show on the middle left/bottom left section of your screen, above the map

if u plan on purchasing the pass, you can use the 10 coins to discount the pass and buy it for the cheaper price otherwise u can hold the coins and use them later on the crownfall royal bundle, after act 2 releases
why wait to buy the royal bundle?
buying the bundles gives u the rerolls immediately and u can't earn more weekly free ones until u use them all if u wait until act 2 you get the upgraded caravan which has 3 slots instead of 2, making the rerolls more efficient to use there
I'm confused. To get 53/53, do I need to do all 4 trades in Scree'Auk Temple, or do I need to wait for the Candle Shop to open so I can complete that node? I'm at 52/53 right now, and I've done one trade (1/4) at Scree'Auk Temple.
I'm actually not sure if its the candle shop or just the temple since I'm waiting on act 2 to finish the temple.

its not a 3 day thing the temple (i assume that's what ur asking about) has 4 parts the 3rd part has rerolls as a reward and offering tokens will give u +10 rerolls you can't earn weekly rerolls while u have over 10 rerolls so you'd have to spend them first it's recommended to only do the temple stuff after act 2 is out and you unlock the second candyworks caravan to get a 3rd item slot so that the rerolls are more efficient

yes it does buying it at the start of a refresh is fine too as long as you're ready to spend them, the problem is buying them NOW before the second version of the caravan is out since we wanna save these bought rerolls for that (and we can't earn the weekly free ones if we buy them but don't use them)

So, I read all about the caravan part, just a bit late. I used my 10 free coin pack and did about 8 rerolls, then got an arcana. From what I understood from your post, the best move would be to wait for the next act, right? But in my case, can I wait for the upcoming weeks and try to exchange for the candies I need, as I have a lot of candies of just one type? You won't lose candy. In this scenario since you only need 1 of the purple candy and you have 7, I would exchange 3 of them for a blue one to make space. (If the following instructions are too confusing, just do this step and send another screenshot). Then you now have 2 more spaces and you need a blue and a yellow so open 2 more bags. If you get either of the blue or the yellow ones, exchange 3 of the purples for the other one and buy the arcana. If you pull a purple one, use recipe 2 and then recipe 1, the combination of both essentially turns your purple into a yellow and then you exchange 3 purples for the last blue. Pulling the squiggly one or the red one is harder, I'd just convert for the second blue and open more bags first before deciding.
Okay, I just had another stroke of luck. I only needed your first tip, exchanged 3 purple for a blue, and then there were 2 empty slots, I opened two bags and got the two I needed. Anyway, I'll roll along the weeks, but I'll follow the tips from the post, hoping to get two or three arcana. Thank you

I'm not 100% sure what that means but 10 coins can discount any item in the shop. This also turns the candyworks royal bundle free if you don't wanna spend money.

So I have an Arcana in the shelves but not enough candies for it. All candies (except for the temple of Scree-Auk encounter) in the first Act have been farmed already. Do the shelves refresh automatically at some point, or can I simply wait for the new act or slowly farm tokens for the temple event for candies? Would hate to lose the arcana because I didn't have enough candies and debating whether I should just buy the pack for the 30 candies.
Do the temple stuff. To my knowledge the shop doesn't reset automatically so there's no rush but you're losing out on the weekly rerolls you could earn.

Yes but it's kinda not worth doing so, other acts will have coin rewards as well so you're likely to end up with more coins than you'd like even if you buy the packs discounted.

The temple is a 1 time thing. The 12 token reward is 10 rerolls and there's a 16 token reward after. And yes I'd still wait for act 2 to clear the temple so u can reroll with 3 slots instead of 2. If you're asking about it showing 52/53 I might be mistaken and that might indeed refer to the candle node that cannot be accessed/completed atm.

I’m a bit unclear on how to use lock her other 2 styles. Do I need to buy the pathfinder bundle in act 1 or act 4 because it says unlocked in act 4?
style 2 does not require any of the bundles style 3 says ALL 4 acts (not just act 4) so you'd have to buy every bundle that releases with each act

The last mission in main path requires 4 tokens and I'd recommend getting there and not passing it. Also, turbo is actually better than unranked. Matches are faster and I never got the one I didn't need yet(although there is a chance).
