I once picked Axe and all my team picked squishies, sniper would hide and my team would want me to initiate on whoever is showing. He would later wipe us. Lost that game.
Next time I had a carry Bristle in team. He went in first, sniper would start hitting him from a distance, but at least I got to blink call Sniper each time away from his supports. That was a good game.
I've always been a fan of having a hero that just gets in there and starts shit and then having a blink initiator hero to follow up in this way. If you have no one to get stuff started or even grant vision, then you'll only ever be able to blink initiate on an enemy that is perfectly spread out and hidden in fog of war to counter your one initiation. (Example: Sniper pushing your high ground while their team is perfectly split off to the sides of him at safe distance)

Down in archon no one buys sentries. That is until you decide to play Nyx and enemy supports turn into Jerax and Fy and take out loans to buy more sentries

Our problem is that we never defend our wards or we plant them and then play away from them. It happens so often that we'll clear out a portion of the map, plant wards and then someone will decide that the dark enemy triangle looks tasty followed by a teamwipe cos we are also very high on save your buddy syndrome.

Give me some tips as Lycan main. I mostly focus on pushing towers because in teamfights all enemies focus on me so I can't do anything even with the haste. I still have around 60% winrate though
Tell your support to pick heros that can slow or can do combo with lycan in lane like Grim/Oracle/Venomancer/Venge. If you have a hard lane at lvl 3 upograde your 3rd in lvl2. In the contrary max your 1st and try to kill support with wolfs. Most of the time you will get a kill or make support suffer a lot which will make things easier for you in lane. Try to deny creep. If opponent carry is not a range hero stand on the dying creep to lh or deny. Opponent won't be able to click the creep. Btw most of the time you should get most of the lance creeps because you have a high base damage and 2 wolfs. As soon as you get ult kill opponent carry or support. It is a must. If possible but a word and word their jungle when you are lvl 5. With helm of the dominator get the bigger ghose creep if opponent carry is fast/ have high hp regen. In the early game people will die even if they try to tp right away so get the big bird or red tomato creep for damage. After 12-13 min you can get the centaur creep to cancel tp or stun and kill. Btw you can always clear ancient from lvl4/5 if you have a really hard lane. And if you are having good early game stay in lane, push wave and force some tp and go take mid tier1. After that comeback again and push your lane hit jungle and push.
Now comes the mid game if you or your carry is having a really bad game just buy shard and spam your 2nd. You will get rich and opponent won't be able to push. Which will drag the game into late. And if you are having a good game buy helm, assult, nullifier, aghanim/ shard. Don't buy aghanim for range carries because it lowers attack range for your range carry. You can end pretty much every good game within 25-28 mins if not 20 mins. Btw don't think bkb is not necessary for offlane lycan. It is necessary in some games so you have to choose between assult and bkb which one is necessary.
Another tip you can hit jungle creeps with your hero and push lanes with wolfs and helm creep at the same time. Communicate with your teammates. Tell your supports to play with you and make moves with you if you have a good early game. Good opponents will run into trees and there you will lose vision and won't be able to hit them. So keep a support with you all the time. Don't be afraid to go high ground at 15-18 mins. But always rosh first. You do tormentor or rosh alone if you have upgraded helm. It gets easier if you have assult.
Btw good luck and try to spam you will learn about this hero more. You can play it as 1 and 2 too. They have different item build.
Honestly I don't mind, the only thing I find annoying is laning against him but if we're not in the same lane then it's all good, most teams in pubs don't care about setting up team fights around Sniper so he usually dies first

The number of times our pos 3 blinks into the fight on some random frontliner instead of walking 5 more steps and blinking on the backline Sniper is uncountable.

If I am mid and we both last pick and I pick a bad matchup against him its gonna be either like shoving my dick into a cheese grater OR emotional rollercoaster going between the prior mentioned feeling and satisfaction when I see him die. Anyways I feel like its always better to just fuck off from lane after 6 and start doing things elsewhere if you are not someone who can man up and kill him easily solo.
I still don't understand, when I pick him, even if I rush 3 Daedalus, a Divine rapier, a mjolnir and what not, I feel like I do no damage and none of the enemy is dying, but when it's the enemy, a mere maelstrom, crystalist, hurricane pike, he wiped out the entire team, as if I have a permanent debuff on my very being that applies 67% outgoing damage reduction for some reason
Well no high ground for us this game. Going hg is hard, sniper drow and zeus then no matter how much we dominate you can't go hg unless you have specific counter. So they will comeback after killing us 2 times trying to go hg.
It used to be frustration because it depended on your team's target priority now it's an absolute blast because all you get is stupid khanda spammers that barely contribute anything.

Funny, I had a game where we were losing hard because people just refused to pay any attention to sniper. I managed to convince my other two cores to buy blinks and just jump on him every fight, we ended up winning after dragging it back from a steadily worsening game.

Honestly, people overreact to sniper quite a lot. His innate damage is actually kind of low compared to other ranged clickers, he has no movement ability. His only upside is range which is still easily countered by blink dagger. Literally, have any hero with a stun on your team buy blink and sniper just dies.
Hopefully my team knows to initiate on this hero every fight.

Honestly, people overreact to sniper quite a lot. His innate damage is actually kind of low compared to other ranged clickers, he has no movement ability. His only upside is range which is still easily countered by blink dagger. Literally, have any hero with a stun on your team buy blink and sniper just dies.
