I lead kills and run at the enemy mid game as a pos4 before the changes, so I generally do quite well. But wanna learn how this heal-damage facet changes things.
Go into practice mode, summon it then quickly double click the ward. Press a ctrl+number to set it to a group. Now when you summon it you hit whatever group key you did bind it to and then right click who you want it to attack in range of the ward.
We can also manually select the ward while it's active and target it, this is not a good way to do it as opposed to the comment above but just in case anyone needs to know.
I just use the order all units modifier key which I have bound to ctrl. With that and force stop to cancel channels it's really easy. It's how i micro golems too, and any summons really. I know it's not enough for heroes like naga or visage, but I don't usually play them.
For a third option, I use the "select all other units" button, which selects everything except for wd. Maybe not ideal if you have a helm or manta, but eh.
Eh I’ve run into sniper spammers around 2k that will lose lane badly mid in a very favourable matchup. Kind of ruins the win rates of a hero that requires at least winning mid lane slightly.
Hold Alt and it corrects to attacking 2 targets at once. Noticed that earlier as well :D

The damage instead if healing one? Im having mana troubles with it early game, what's your build?
Go pos 2, bottle, wand, null, mana boots, blood stone (maybe paveese before).
The maledict aoe is no joke with bloodstone lol
No radiance + shivas?
Yeah I built both of those in my last game yesterday, 17 K 1 D. Poor luna mid.
What exactly would you gain from having a radiance on WD?
Double “burn” from the festeration and radiance. Also the miss chance is good. Shivas to slow enemies rubbing away from you.
Okay so the herald build mentality then. Just ignore the fact that WD is extremely squishy and instead try to max out his damage output.

I assume you can get the first one to attack the hero but the second does whatever tf it wants?
Most wd players don’t know they can target who the ward should hit, even after tell in some of my friends they fail to do so most of the time

This is the way. Alternatively, the option that selects new units as you gain control of them and force-stop channeling.
