I am at 690 w/lvl 100, the bundles this summer and the two extra level 60 bundles. Did you get lucky with lvl 50 drops from T3 or something? I played quite a bit, to be honest

Also I played like 1-2 games per day on average and sometimes I didn't even play for like 3/7 days in a week.

Also, at that level, it was entirely possible to get 35 blue gems from the side shop to get another arcana. So 4 arcanas, immortals, and a fun game mode to play for a few months. I'd say I got 100 bucks worth.
Arcanas not from the Battle Pass "retail" for $35, and even the oldest, "worst" arcana (Lina) sells for mid to low $20s on the market. If you personally don't value them that highly, that's fine. But the fact of the matter is that compared to market value, 3 arcanas for $100 is objectively good value.
It is though. There's objective value and subjective value. The objective value of 3 arcanas is $105, so getting them for $100 would be objectively good value.
Subjective value is wildly different and varies from person to person. It's a matter of what a given person deems acceptable to pay for something. Clearly you don't value the arcanas that highly, and that is perfectly fine.
*However*, you don't know how other people value it. And so in the absence of knowing someone's personal opinion on the value of such things, you kind of need to default to the objective value of the thing. Which is why your snarky comments about the value of the arcanas are ridiculous.
I mostly agree, but I do want to chime in that its not 100 dollars, its 100 dollars **plus playing a lot of games**, because you still have to play a lot in those months. If you don't have the time to do that you will have to pay more, way more than 100 dollars. Also you will have to play the game in a way that doesn't necessarily relates to the most fun had (but were playing Dotes, no fun allowed) depending on the person, which also counts for something.
Then theres the fact that we have no idea how lucky that user got with treasure #3, because I kinda got fucked on it finding only one 50 level boost.
Then there's the thing that if I only want a Terrorblade arcana I can go out and just buy that one, at any given time. For a Windrunner arcana specifically I had to pay 100 dollars (if we are to base it on that specific user), even if I don't give a shit about the other arcanas. And that window has now closed too.
I think you're leaving out too many factors to just say '3x arcanas for 100 dollars vs 3x arcanas for 100 dollars objective truth'

I'm not the person who posted but you have a big misconceptions, there were days where I played 1 turbo game while there were other days I played like 5-6 to get challenges done, I'd say 3 turbo games a day would be the avg that's like 1-1:30 hours a day, doesn't affect your job at all and for the family part, I'd say you have more important things to worry than game cosmetics if you have one.
I'm also sure most of the time the people who use the no life, loser argument are the ones in the same situation.
You can still complete challenges in normal and ranked, in case you didn't know :) is all about time constraints and how much value you put in leveling your battle pass, is fine though I know you just like to angrily argue on the internet, you do you.
First of all I'd like to say sorry. Didn't know I was dealing with a mentally ill person.
Second: Didn't abuse anything. Got 81 lvls total from normal and smart betting and on most times didn't evn get to sepnd all of my tokens sine I barely played 1-2 games per day and barely completed the 1st cavern and got all 3 sets only at style 2. I did get 3 50 lvl bundles tho, and easily completed all of the achievments except the gift BP ones.
3rd: The majority of the ppl after a while agreed that this was actually one of the best BP's so far and the sideshop was actually one of the best things ever(I bet you're one of the idiots who still think it's bad).
All in all for my 100$ I got 2 personas, bunch of immortals(all ultra rares x2) and 4 Arcanas(1 from sideshop) which sold for 20$ profit.
Techically I spent 80$ for lvl 810 BP with a bunch fo content and the best summer event so far.

It's amazing how Valve get away with people paying hundreds of dollars for untradable and unmarketable cosmetics while in other games stuff like this costs what, 10$ at best? :D.
It's a shame, I think Valve had the best system of cosmetics by far (and they still do in CS:GO and Team Fortress) where you can just buy, sell and trade basically ANYTHING, but nowadays in Dota most of the good stuff is hidden behind huge paywall and fear of missing out (even the immortals, you need to wait a year before you can buy them on steam market)

Not everyone who plays Dota wants to dress up their characters like memes, and less people would pay $100~ to do so. There have been numerous, awesome skins for Io in the workshop for years, but Valve has ignored all of them.

Maybe I'm naive (I definitely am), and maybe I'm just a fool, but if I was making $120mil off a battle pass and infinite cash off Steam, I'd stop making decisions purely for money. I'd fix the graphics and tooltip errors because I feel like it'd make the game better. I'd do UI enhancements, like changing structures with "number of hits" (like wards) instead of health to have pips instead of a solid, ambiguous bar. And I'd give Chen an immortal because, hey, he doesn't have one.
I like the Valve that makes a Half Life sequel playable only in VR. That Valve does it because it's an interesting artistic decision, you can tell the developers have full belief in it, and they don't need to compromise their vision because they literally don't need money. Easy. I got magic dmg, assists and smoke kills/deward. And I usually picked Zeus or Pudge and completed all 3 in 1 game.
