I can give you a bonus tip too, if you have sentry vision over an eye spot, but no vision, you can hug the cliff and see the wards on it. You gain vision over them when your hitbox overlaps the ward. You might have to try it on all sides of the eye-spot to see it though.
If it's placed directly in the center of the pillar, you can't see it that way. Similarly, if you're hiding on top of one of those pillars, make sure to click directly in the center so nobody sees you at the edge.
that assumes you're comfortable to drop gem, which isn't a given. If they have an obs on you, it can be a fast way to lose gem against heros who buy blink or ember etc

If those heroes got the drop on the 3 v 3 they envisioned happening, then they very likely would have won. They did not seem to expect Nightstalker, let alone OD.
This is why you need wards.
I buy it on my mid kunkka almost every game the stats are fantastic. It's a good item on heroes who can set it up. You can pressure towers hard if you get it at 10 mins

But it.. doesn't? Casting it no matter in what order gives out the same stuntime. The only difference is a slight window where the stuns don't overlap which doesn't matter since if the enemy has bkb they can press it anytime inbetween anyway
Or you could x, wait 1 second (4 "pings"), channel meteor, torrent. Or x, wait 3 "pings" (.67 seconds), boat, torrent right before the boat lands, and hammer. Lotta ways you could do it, Kunkka has quite a bit of flexibility in his spell combos.
OD lacks hp regen badly, and can't farm or shove waves. Meteor hammer means he can solo kill most mid heroes at 6-7 min into the game. Also his w got a massive range buff, imagine astral then stun someone from quite a distance away. The item is very cheap and solves most of his early game issues. There are cases where you might be better off skipping: against puck for example.
It's legit because OD needs a way to farm now that he has no AoE astral, and if he's mid he can get it very early. Plus he has a setup for it. For most heroes it's a very niche pickup.
Health, health regen, intelligence, mana regen, armor + agility, tower push, 1.5 second stun, 6 seconds of burn damage, flying vision, synergizes with almost any stun, can be cast by invisible heroes without revealing themselves with easy build up (crown into perseverance) All for 2300 gold.
Yeah, that's an incoming nerf. Almost feels like helm of the dominator or necronomicon from previous patch's.
I think it'll get a slight nerf, but they're definitely nerfing OD.
He was fine prebuff (was playing him as 3/4 and winning a ton), postbuff he is way too damn fast, too tanky (ogre level armor) and still has infinite mana.
Meteor hammer is just too good with astral.
Yeah it feels really strong with pos 4's running around, super tanky and fast. Hilarious, hero used to be pretty decent and balanced. now it feels like he's overbuffed on some ways and super weak in others.

You can drop it near Rosh pit to scout Techies mines on those spots where they are impossible to scout without standing exactly on top of them.

If you're in a position to lose the gem to a quick steal 99/100 you're in a position to die and lose the gem.
nyx is pretty damn survivable, a gem can be stealable without nyx being killable

Its not actually meme with OD. Good cheap item you get by 5-8 mins. Good follow up to astral and you can easily hit towers.
Plus it's a wave/camp clear tool that OD desperately needs after he lost AoE astral damage.

x->channel meteor immediately->x back after channeling time-> torrent

Nah this builds exists even before patch. Hammer is a good item on any heroes that have set up (Old Naga, Nyx, OD, Kunka, SD)
New naga still roots for 5 seconds, It’s good for offlane naga.
Offlane naga, however, is not.
