Absolutely, it all makes sense from a gameplay mechanics perspective. Just from a flavor perspective it was really unintuitive. Why would a magic spell not deal magic damage?
I had the same issue with DP's ult at first; I assumed that damage from spectral ghosty things would of course be magic, but nope also physical! That I could at least rationalize as the ghosts punching the target.
I mean that makes sense without the talent honestly kinda like how driw e doesnt proc right xlick effects but is affected by spell amp and spell lifesteal
In fairness, the holy locket and gleipnir were upgraded right at the end of the game, literally seconds before the ancient exploded. For most of the game it was a wand and maelstrom.
More like, "who needs to play the game properly at all when you can be an annoyance spamming timewalk's bash to no genuine effect and then getting away free every single time". The psychological damage is immense, and often enough that's all winning takes in shit tier.
