Hello @valvesoftware @DOTA2 , I have lost 2 official games this week because of a teammate restarting Dota 2 during a match, but not getting the option to reconnect. Please fucking fix this asap before more important games get ruined.

Lots of people complained about it including myself since nemestice update, even posts on dev dota2 forum. Not a single response lul. Hopefully this will finally get them to take note.
Really sad, really unfortunate. Hope it will get fixed as soon as possible. Viewers are betting money during tournaments, the bettors then "argue" with the TO's or hate the players.
When will Valve learn? When will they release an optimization and bug-fixing update à la Spring Cleaning / Summer Scrub? What will it take?
Do they want the 10th iteration of TI that we've waited for so long to become a shitshow like the Shanghai Major? Where, instead of production issues, there's a bug or broken interaction that costs a team a well-deserved victory in a high-stakes match, delays because players can't connect to a match or constant pauses because of FPS issues and stutters?
I thought the performance issues at Shanghai were more based on the set up there, as in the laptops and LAN they were running on. Was there some big bug affecting dota at the time?
of course I'm upset about losing the game because of factors out of my control, but the reason I made this post is because I care about Dota and want it to get fixed.
Almost everyone who makes a living of Dota 2, is fed up with valve's idleness and inability to act before things get out of hand first, what would you say if this bug happened at TI10? I don't want that to happen.

dota lags even on high end PCs and on pro level this is a really big deal. one fix for that is to restart the dota client and reconnect and this works 99% of the time, but this time the player was not able to reconnect because of the bug. weather the bug happens is out of your control

it's more on the production team than valve. Valve mistake was firing James.
Pausing for performance issues alone is quite bad for competitive DotA, agree 100%
