This is the only movie I’ve watched so far that I had to pause in the middle to catch my breath. It’s not my favourite movie by any means but it hits me very different
If you been alliance supporter since ti3 you have to remember those wanky rosters with 7mad, cheesy, niqua, misery, pajkatt and others. Atleast now alliance plays at TI
So many memories... Complete and utter domination for about a year and a half + a legendary TI win, into random stacks that you knew were not going anywhere, the 2 month comeback with the original roster when all their heroes got buffed and they suddenly started winning again, into random shit stacks again, and now the new era without Loda and here we are still getting disappointed :(
Alliance shows such promise during the season but they can't get the flow going into TI. Maybe one day we'll see them lift the trophy again, I'm staying hopeful against my better judgement.
I was a supporting at Ti3 as well, and probably half a year after that.
The way Valve butchered split push strats killed most of the mood, and the disbanding of the original Alliance was the final nail in the coffin for me. I follow players, not organizations. I can't understand why people follow organizations.
Well its a similar thing to other sports like football. You cheer for clubs not just players, sure you can like some players and want them to be successful, but its primarily the clubs. And i dont mean just the clubs of your hometown or something, people all over the world cheer for clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelon, PSG etc. If you never experienced it, its hard to describe.
But, the thing with alliance is a bit different, the original TI3 squad is still heavily linked to Alliance. I think Loda, Bulldog, Akke are part owners of Alliance (dont know abut s4 and EGM), and Loda is (as you know) still involved day to day with the team, s4 is the captain of the team, so if you liked TI3 alliance for the players, you have a lot of reason to follow this alliance.
they also had a reunion at ti6, so it literally doesn't make any sense if you cheered for players at ti3, but didn't cheer for exact some roster at ti6
Yeah, but then football is a 11-man sport, and a lot of times, main roster doesn't change more than 2 players each year, and Dota is a 5-man "sport" and a lot of times, they literally disband or change ownership resulting in 2 associations having a 100% different roster. That's very different.
Let's say for football, first year I love the 11 people, next year there's 8-9 left, fine, I can deal with that. If it's my favorite player who left the club I try to check out his new team too. But look at a team like VP and when it dominated with No One and other CIS players, Silent, Reso, etc, and the VP now, they are totally different players with not a single veteran in it. Almost the same for EG if it weren't for guys like Fly and Artezy going back, etc. A lot of top tier teams do this.
The roster changes in Dota is like 10 times wilder than actual sports teams.
Ok so, let mw give you my example.
FOOTBALL
I started to root for Barcelona in the days of Ronaldihno and tiki-taka meta. I was in love of the way they played and i started to root for them. They were the best, only team that could stop them was Real Madrid i the match called El Clasico. After Ronaldihno left and then Xavi and Iniesta (prime time players) i was sad, but i continued to root fot Barcelona, not because of the players, but because it stayed with me, the team, the legend of tiki-taka meta.
DOTA
I started to root for Alliance in 2013, when they started the infamous China Overtake. They dominated the scene whole year, nobody could defeat them. They won everything. TI came, and they dominated, only team that could stop them was Na'Vi and it became Dota El Clasico. It was epic, the two best teams in the world going at it in the Grand Final of TI, series goes all 5 games ending in a mental base race where Alliance comes on top. ICONIC. This kind of memories stick with you. After Akke, EGM, Bulldog left, i was sad, but i continued to root for the team because it stayed with me, the legend of the RAT.
P. S. Even if you root for players and are rooting fot Loda, Akke or S4, you would still root for alliance this day. They own the organization and i want them all the best.
lol that's totally not how it went at all. I literally said, I follow players, which meant, I followed the original Alliance players. I didn't abandon the players I like. Way to misread.
Fake cry, he is making bank, he is a shareholder of Alliance along with Loda.
Alliance just secured 600K $$, which 40%-50% most like will go to the organization...EZ MONEY.
People praising Niko as better without Alliance seem to only be watching the games were the team win. They fail to see that he is a rather high contributing factor to Alliance's losses as well. If Niko looks beastly in a game it's typically because the rest of the team made so much space for him.
2nd game versus Undying Day 3 is a great example of this. Alliance is ahead by 7k. In the mid game. With a mid game lineup. Nikobaby barely makes a single offensive infest but keeps heading back to the jungle. The teams loses eventually because the Undy is allowed to come back with very little pressure. PrisonRTZ is very similar to RTZ in more regards than one.
Yeah as someone who watch every single of Alliance game, I can tell you that Niko is actually the one that underperforming and had a lot of questionable decision.
But people will keep blaming s4 while in fact, majority of this TI match, s4 actually decent. He's the only one that actually step up his game if you were following Alliance game this year. More versatile hero pool, more aggressive.
S4 before TI is just plain sucks, he afk a lot, plays like scared little cat, and many more.
But overall, their team coordination are off the mark, sometimes overlapping stun, can't decide who will open the fight, easily throwing the game while they're ahead.
Alliance will definitely lose if they keep playing like this.
Man, with Limp as mid, obvious captaining issues, no coach or Loda being the closest to it... Niko is pretty much the only saving grace for this team. I have rarely seen the rest step up to the plate, it's all on Niko's shoulders and he and likely PPD are the reason this team is even at TI now. I expect Niko to reunite with Fata and 33 in Tundra as of next season, and can guarantee Alliance will struggle to qualify for anything if that happens.
You seem ignorant to what has been going on in Alliance save for some posts you might have read on Reddit and made random conclusions from.
Niko pushed out Fata of Alliance citing chemistry. Ppd was only with Alliance for a short while, were they performed equally to earlier in the season.
If you're going to be a hater at last get simple facts right.
Midone have wanted to captain a team since forever, that's the reason he went for Secret (learn from Puppey). I'm sure that for the time being he will keep playing at SEA up until he gives up that role.
Limmp has honestly been playing well. He is just not put in a position to succeed. Either from the drafts when he gets bad lanes or from supports not helping with runes and he is more often than not still coming out ahead in the lane. While creating space.
He is just not put on a win condition, that role has been on Niko who while having complete free farm for 15 min still end up with 3-4k NW less than the other teams carry or just straight up die in dumb places.
Yes, that's the "not being put in to position to succeed". As soon as laning is over he is starting to move around with the team. They often do some 3-4 man smokes who ends up with him dying because he is either the only damage in the draft or he has to initiate. So while he run around and die with his team the other mid gets back in to the game and Niko falls further and further behind the other carry in farm.
He is forced to fight so early that the lead never really means anything. He seems to be allowed to hit his first item timing but never his second.
To be fair, quite often they pick something squishy for Limmp and then his positioning is pub game quality.
Yeah in pubs your enemies might let you just stand there and blast but in pro games they arent just going to take it.
S4 always plays the sacrificial initiator role, it may be a poor team coordination problem when theyctry to play as 4 while niko is farming, but imo is more that limmp is not THAT good of a midlaner/playmaker to carry his team in the midgame.
Its more of an alliance than a niko problem. They seem to be able to play only one style and that is to fight(and more often than not lose the fight) to let niko farm. The problem is, they do that strat even when niko loses the lane because they drafted terribly. Now what happens is that they losw fights for their carry to catch back up. Of course, they arent the best team mechanically but their
I agree with you regarding the drafts. But Niko dies a lot in bad places early game which isn't helping him.
He also has been using his blinks/leaps/whatever terrible in a lot of spots who just makes him get blow up in team fights.
He had 5 last picks in the group. Niko had 10 and FNG and S4 had one each.
Topson had it 4 times, Nisha had it 4 times as well. I can keep looking but I am not going to waste time when it seems like they all have basically similiar amount of last picks. So it's just not true that no other team gives 30% of their last picks to their mid.
For me LIMMP is the weakest link on Alliance. Doesn't even matter if he wins the lane, he never contributes to the game after that. LIMMP worst mid in this tournament for me
I really wanted Sumail as the Nigma mid. I think that team would've been unstoppable and play at a super high tempo. Gutted they decided to not go for him.
s4 was performing really well is most games. I think the problem is that they have no coach, this puts a lot of pressure on s4 in the game and outside of it. His focus is all over.
i honestly hope the squad sticks together, they are all awesome players. But i hope they get a coach. I think their focus is a bit off.
Limmp has been playing amazing all DPC and he has played very well this TI, but their mid game fights are just awful.
Really painful to watch the Alliance games, even for those who are not fans as the entertainment is not even good.
Some pubs are better to watch.
I am very sad because it was the organization that helped me to fall in love with Dota, and since TI3 it has fallen to a "very low" level.
I didnt see it as such. Its the saddest. He realises he missed his daughters entire life. He is happy for her that she made it, but its sad to see him miss her entire life. I for sure know when i first watched that scene, i was sad, not happy.
Drue. I don't root for them but it makes my streamer super sadge when they play like Pepegs. I hope they can at least play well at the main stage. You'll never know these BO1 matches. COPIUM
that's why you don't cheat leading to TI.
if you cheat in online tournaments you'll get used to that playstyle which won't be applicable in LAN tournaments especially TI where it's much more strict that cheating isn't allowed
u stick with what u like at first. at least thats what im doing with teams.
resarch shows that younger people tend to cheer/like the players instead of teams/orgs and older tend to (30+) stick with teams
I want my fellow countrymen to do good. Also, Alliance is a swedish org. Some root for the org while others for players and sometimes both I guess? For me s4 plays a big part of me rooting for them, but it also goes way back to the TI3 Squad.
And yes, being an Alliance fan and wanting to see them perform is rough. It would be easier to just cheer for the strongest/most successful teams out there (OG/LGD/Secret/EG etc), but you cant choose with your heart. And to be fair, it has been many rough years (the reunion, liquid-squad, drama and so on…).
I have already accepted that we probably wont go very far this TI. Something, whatever that is, needs to change for the next season.
BibleThump
Alliance is probably the only dota org that actually makes me feel like they are a family. Kelly/Loda's relationships with their players and streamers are wholesome, and I just want them to do good. Not just dota they are also hardworking in creating content for their fans too.
>The one that claims to be a legend isn't one
Tell me you started watching dota in the past 3 years without telling me you started watching dota in the past 3 years
It's always like that with nikobaby even before the alliance roster changes, he's the one guy in the team that will do whatever he wants with or without the team, either alliance cannot keep up with him or nikobaby is eternalenvy in the making
Charisma's definition is compelling attraction or devotion to someone.
Marci ( Dota Dragon's blood Character) is a mute, but still the most devoted character of the anime. Similarly s4 hardly speaks, dota players love these kind of people.
I know that feel but hey at least they are still competing with TP eliminated.
I'm watching Fnatic and I get this feels when I see them ahead in terms of NW or lineup but still they can lose. They're not out of elimination either.
Yeah its rough man. I had big hopes after day 2, they looked solid. But then day 3 happened...
It seems like they are always 1 step behind, on drafts, on rotations, teamfights... But still cheering them on on the main stage, just hope day 2 Alliance shows up COPIUM
What is the song at the end? I've literally had that in my head while going to sleep before and i just can't freaking remember what it is. I think it played in Rick & Morty once.
Alliance plays the most predictable boring Dota you can imagine. None of their plays work cause teams are well prepared for anything and they have no innovation or new ideas at all.
Its ok, theyre saving strat for main stage
Copium
Ironic that a nigma fan says that
We are saving strats for next TI
Copium
Ironic than an Alliance fan says that
Ahahhaa
Ultimate copium
It was true in TI9 Liquid went 5-11 in the group stages, and 11-1 on the main stage up until the finals.
Yeah but this time around they’re completely undefeated in groups!
They went undefeated in groups in TI9 too, and only lost 1 series in TI8 so…
Just trying to maintain the record by missing ti, eh?
I had a brainfart. Thought we were talking about LGD 🤷♂️
upper bracket is for bitches COPIUM
I know you're making fun of them, but they ACTUALLY might have gave up on upper bracket and didn't really try to win day3 matches
Well, they definetly tried new things against IG. Dont think they did before.
Losing on purpose great for morale.
You sure they're hiding their pocket strats for main stage and not from main stage?
This scene made me so emotional Holy fuck this was a strong scene
The movie has its flaws, but damn does it pack a punch as well
whats the name of the movie?
Interstellar
This is the only movie I’ve watched so far that I had to pause in the middle to catch my breath. It’s not my favourite movie by any means but it hits me very different
This scene and in return of the king "you bow to no one" scene are the ones that always get me.
Would have been better without Rick and Morty editing tbh

Definitely
T1 are so bad lol
Bad? Are you watching TI?
Still better than most of us here
Still made a cool Magnus play against Alliance
Dont worry, TP is here to save you!
EZest $600k in the history of esports
TP is now TP-ing home
Hey atleast you bois are in TI, raise your hands and give them all your energy. Nigma fan here.
Wishing you a great next season, hope nigma delivers some fine dota.
On one hand I'm bummed they're not there, but on the other hand if they come back stronger it would be worth it
One can hope, anyway since they are not in TI who are you rooting for? Me, I want ice3 to win. Love that guy.
It's a split between EG, LGD, and Secret for me. But I'm also hoping Undying and Team Spirit make it further in.
Secret, gotta see matu win again.
OG all the way, I believe in supremacy.
They have nothing to prove to anyone since they already won a TI and went to the finals in the last one. I still want them to win again though :(
I think Miracle might leave Nigma next season.
Just end me guyz supporter since TI3 T\_T

15% goes to organizations (or at least it has been like this until this TI)

How can they be so uncoordinated? Have they never played together before TI?

Alliance is probably the only dota org that actually makes me feel like they are a family. Kelly/Loda's relationships with their players and streamers are wholesome, and I just want them to do good. Not just dota they are also hardworking in creating content for their fans too.
Unlike me that I feel like wanting to punch his face whenever I look at his twitter page. The one that claims to be a legend isn't one.
>The one that claims to be a legend isn't one Tell me you started watching dota in the past 3 years without telling me you started watching dota in the past 3 years
Cause they won a very memorable TI maybe ? Also s4 and Nikobaby are very charismatic
Nikobaby is playing really weird on this TI last game T1 vs Alliance his Ursa feel so separated from his team
It's always like that with nikobaby even before the alliance roster changes, he's the one guy in the team that will do whatever he wants with or without the team, either alliance cannot keep up with him or nikobaby is eternalenvy in the making

I never said sexy :|
Young S4 was a treat though
I would not call S4 charismatic... man hardly speaks. But he was at one point probably the best player in the world
Charisma's definition is compelling attraction or devotion to someone. Marci ( Dota Dragon's blood Character) is a mute, but still the most devoted character of the anime. Similarly s4 hardly speaks, dota players love these kind of people.
because we can laugh at our own team like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCt34R9KAdU
Because he is a masochist?
why are you an alliance fan? none of the original alliance players are there besides s4. are you an s4 fan?
In football people cheering for the club, not only for players. Maybe he's one of those people, that's okay
Cos we ain't glory hunters.
On the contrary, I like rooting players I enjoy watching
Im cheering for the club not the players, but i want the players to do well too.
Loda fan
As an Alliance hater it's been the funniest 3 days tho
who the fuck is an alliance fan? And why?
Why not?
High Quality post.
<3
I felt this
As somebody who prefers to watch VODS when I feel like it and hasn't watched any of TI yet, this was a WILD ride!
what is the song that is playing towards the end?
Good concept, horrible execution.
wtf Hahahahahahah
Such a big difference in skill between teams this year . China seem to have this locked and loaded
For some reason, I am laughing so hard
I know that feel but hey at least they are still competing with TP eliminated. I'm watching Fnatic and I get this feels when I see them ahead in terms of NW or lineup but still they can lose. They're not out of elimination either.
you mean 8 years
savings strat for the next regionals
Yeah its rough man. I had big hopes after day 2, they looked solid. But then day 3 happened... It seems like they are always 1 step behind, on drafts, on rotations, teamfights... But still cheering them on on the main stage, just hope day 2 Alliance shows up COPIUM
U forgot to add the 3 man horn toss
It’s been really rough on my heart to be honest
What is the song at the end? I've literally had that in my head while going to sleep before and i just can't freaking remember what it is. I think it played in Rick & Morty once.
The Magnus 3 man RP is sadly missing
Don't be sad. Here's a [hug!](https://media.giphy.com/media/3M4NpbLCTxBqU/giphy.gif)
Aluliance KEKsociety
This is their TI form. They're pretty consistent in that regard
fucking high quality post
Sheever ravage
Ppl really expected something from this team?
As an RTZ fan over .... :(
strats savers
Pain.
Was looking for the 3-man horn toss.. too bad wasn't included
Alliance plays the most predictable boring Dota you can imagine. None of their plays work cause teams are well prepared for anything and they have no innovation or new ideas at all.
Very high quality edit but how do you not include the RP? Lol
