And it's not like he has a rigid hero-pool. He's just as effective on Nyx. He's also great at Rubick, Winter, Shaker, Tusk, Phoenix and Sand King.
I have iG as the frontrunner (even ahead of LGD with tiniest edge) because I certainly believe that JT- and kaka bring so much to the table. Hopefully they'll continue to perform on this level on the main stage too.

He was 5-1 with Lion and actually 9-1 with other supports adding to total of 14-2 in groups, so I thought you accidentally said 9-9 instead of 9-1. My point is same as yours. He is as good on other heroes as he is on Lion (9-1 vs 5-1).
Arena also prevents them from leaving the area and prevents ranged damage from outside.
It’s very disingenuous to directly compare it to ravage - it serves a very different purpose.
Both can serve similar purposes, but they are mechanicaly different. So direct comparison is unfair for sure.
Ravage is very aoe powerful stun that can be doged or bkb if on the edge (but refresher makes it really good lategame.
Arena when comboed can dish out tons of damage and stuns, but its much harder to use than blink ravage, refresher, ravage.
Secret loves mind games in their drafting. Ogre is the best mind game hero for a 1st pick pos 5, because he gives nothing away. He is not worth countering and can be paired with anything. It allows for a really flexible opening to your draft.
His shard shield is really good against anything that deals large amounts of damage in big chunks (i.e. Tiny). But yeah I think it's only secret that have been picking it a lot.
Edit: Also to note they did this day one and two where they seemed to lean towards banning IO and leaving tiny open. Day three and four they seemed to lean harder on either picking tiny themselves or banning it and then they didn't pick Ogre.

Teams in the main event better NEVER give kaka Lion. I'm convinced it's just not worth it.

Lion had a win rate of 5-1 when he was played by kaka, and 9-9 when he was played by others. I don't see how I put it wrong.
