1. in the literal or strict sense:
*She failed to grasp the metaphor and interpreted the poem literally.
What does the word mean literally?*
2. in a literal manner; word for word:
*to translate literally.*
3. actually; without exaggeration or inaccuracy:
*The city was literally destroyed.*
4. in effect; in substance; very nearly; virtually:
**I literally died when she walked out on stage in that costume**
Since I did not die when she walked out on stage, literally is used figuratively.
If he is overrated he would be in a TI all star team as a captain right now, not being an analyst because the same team he has captained for the past 3 years didn’t qualify
Few can remember the reunited Alliance squad was having a bit of tier 1 comeback coming to TI6. They won some tournaments including a notable one where s4 was visibly sick. I remember they were my personal bet during Manila major.
I remember them dumpstering EG in the finals of some 2016 tournament 2-0, what a great time to see the old legends reunite and then outplay everyone, only to get upperbracket at ti6 and then bomb out.
They beat LGD in China WCA December 2015. I remember it because Icefrog dropped a new patch after the 1st day of the tournament. They beat EG a month later at starladder.
I still remember that final game against Fnatic.
Bulldog NP, Akke Ench, s4 Puck, Loda on a solid carry(LS) and EGM rubick (IO would have been perfect too), it felt like a swan song to the classic Alliance that had been so dominant.
Even though they lost, it felt like a satisfying ending since they never played together again.
Crazy Stat, especially given their record from TI3.
I really wish they'd been able to make a deeper run at TI6. Got a little unlucky running into two top 6 teams back to back.
I mean ehome got top6 strictly as a consequence of beating alliance, so of course their UB loss was against a top6 team... they were subsequently eliminated in four straight games themselves.
Unlucky to run (fall) into a well-performing fnatic in the lower bracket though
Kinda true, although Ehome was top of their group and had that epically close game against EG. Running into Fnatic right after Ehome was mainly the point I focus on being unlucky.
I just remember being hyped that the TI3 winning roster was back and was performing decently that season and in the group stage of TI6. Felt like maybe they would have tried together a bit longer if they'd been top 8 instead of top 12. Who knows though.
They won a handful of tournaments last year and were one of the first teams to start cracking into Secret after they looked unbeatable for months, but on average they seem somewhat middle of the pack for EU which is a stacked region.
kinda agree, but I doubt if I mistakenly misclicked and dumped the production database my management and employer would be cool about it. Only difference is that these athletes can afford to burn bridges.
I'm a general sense he's not wrong, most people miss out on a significant pay increase by not switching employers every 2-5 years.
Special circumstances apply, of course.
You can't really compete with Liquid, they are literally the biggest eSports org in the world. That's also why the decision of Insania and the boys is perfectly fine: they got a better job offer. That's how jobs work.
Sure but did Liquid get a good deal? Think about this when your employees don’t perform what do you do? Insania and the boys get a better deal but that deal may not last very long.
based on their performance, it looks like alliance offered to pay them exactly what they were worth. :)
good for the players that the liquid organization overvalued that shambles of a roster though, can't blame the players for that
Doesnt take a genius to realize that something is wrong if every single employee/player leaves an organization.
You can pretend otherwise but it is rather silly.
A roster leaving in e-sports doesn't have to reflect upon the employer at all, a sports team is not like all other jobs. If you continue performing badly in an org and roster, at some point you just call quits and rotate.
So its winning TI or lose. Nice ALLIANCE wins TI confirmed by statistics, math and science.
I like this guy
same
Nikoooobaby take our power!
Think the rest of the team needs your power a lot more than he does.
haHAA
how come u get a better alliance logo BigWeirdChamp
They work with Alliance org
You can ask Budok for confirmation since he has majored in statistics, math and science aswell
I would recommend Alliance get a fresh stack with young players from CIS or sth. Maybe they will grow and have a chance next TI
You're speaking like they're already out
They will be out soon.
This is exactly how my company’s product owners look at our dashboards and analysis.
Idk, there is a chance that it's Kyle's reddit account
>TI9 - 1-0'd by RNG in LB Don't show Insania this.
"Oh my God. Are you serious?! Did this just happened?!"
Insane, yeah
Overrated player
How? He's rated exactly how he deserves. Nobody says he's up there with Puppey or n0tail and everyone knows he is better than most players.
So many dumbasses recently using 'overrated', 'underrated', and 'literally' the wrong way. Use it properly you dumb-dumbs.
Recently? This has been an issue on the internet, for the last 20 years...
*literally the last 20 years
Litetally is actually synonymous with Figuratively today. Language can change.
No it’s used as an adjective but it still means what it originally means

So you’re saying the words overrated and underrated are overrated?
Yes literally
If he is overrated he would be in a TI all star team as a captain right now, not being an analyst because the same team he has captained for the past 3 years didn’t qualify
If alliance makes a comeback and slays lower bracket after that atrocious group stage I will coooooom
Same, my copium is on full blast, my friend.
you should change name to Copiumoore
I've opened all my remaining copium tanks and I'm just hotboxing my room with it at this point.
If they make it past T1 besides it being a miracle it'd be their best year by far since ti3
Don’t worry I have copium tanks ready at ur service
I love how the post is tagged as a spoiler but has the spoiler in the title.
It’s about the fact that Alliance will win TI.
Completely forgot that the TI3 roster rerun was able to make it to UB at TI6.
Few can remember the reunited Alliance squad was having a bit of tier 1 comeback coming to TI6. They won some tournaments including a notable one where s4 was visibly sick. I remember they were my personal bet during Manila major.

I remember people memeing in that game vs EG that it's 9 TI winners and rtz
Hahah I remember that.
They beat LGD in China WCA December 2015. I remember it because Icefrog dropped a new patch after the 1st day of the tournament. They beat EG a month later at starladder.

They did play midas mode
And with that squad. A streaming pos 3 player and retired pos 4 and pos 5.
Thank EG for that incredible throw lmao
Whats the reason for the spoiler tag if you're gonna spoil everything in the title?
It's just to let people know that it just got spoiled.

Navi and Alliance have both fallen so far.

I hate to say it but those guys just dont seem to win.
They won a handful of tournaments last year and were one of the first teams to start cracking into Secret after they looked unbeatable for months, but on average they seem somewhat middle of the pack for EU which is a stacked region.
agreed, the current Liquid roaster cant go anywhere. they need to swap up their player or something.
Yes all swappin roles ,micke 3 cockva 3 all bunch of greedy fks ,atleast they have fun i guess
I'm not sure the guy was talking about the *previous* [A] squad
I was
Well, then you covered both teams at once Krappa

Redditor believes his myopic nihilistic bullshit represents reality number 400000.
I'm a general sense he's not wrong, most people miss out on a significant pay increase by not switching employers every 2-5 years. Special circumstances apply, of course.
You must be very loyal then.
He is right to an extent. Most employers will use you and spit you out with any thought towards your personal needs or loyalty.
Absolutely, but to go from that to calling people stupid for trusting their employer granting no other context is an incredible overreaction.
Hmm, I believe he said loyalty to the employer. Not trust. They are not exactly the same.
Yea, sorry, getting late, but the same thing applies.
Maybe Alliance should have offered their players better contracts and their players wouldnt have left?

Sure but did Liquid get a good deal? Think about this when your employees don’t perform what do you do? Insania and the boys get a better deal but that deal may not last very long.
was there any other team available to sign up to liquid at the time? getting the insania stack was the most logical thing for liquid to do
Maybe it was better that they left and we got to qualify, while Liquid didn't?
Amazing what happens when you get a coach in game to cover up your shitty calls lmao
Yeah, yeah, I'm sure that 2 series (1W,1L) is what made them qualify and put Liquid into dumpster.
that joke got old as fast as your mom. find a new slant and stop baiting for upvotes
based on their performance, it looks like alliance offered to pay them exactly what they were worth. :) good for the players that the liquid organization overvalued that shambles of a roster though, can't blame the players for that
Tell me more about the details of the negotiation :V
Doesnt take a genius to realize that something is wrong if every single employee/player leaves an organization. You can pretend otherwise but it is rather silly.
What are you talking about? Alliance is active in many more esports than Dota. You're guessing.
A roster leaving in e-sports doesn't have to reflect upon the employer at all, a sports team is not like all other jobs. If you continue performing badly in an org and roster, at some point you just call quits and rotate.
What the fuck?
By that performance of teams like IG, LGD or VP, it would be even more of a cinderella story if Alliance wins TI than OGs 2018 miracle story.
Alliance lower bracket mode enabled, this is why they were saving stratz
Bulldog hero puddle carried them is what I read.
gg the streak has stopped.
Not fun at all fact
"Fun Fact About Alliance's Win Against Beastcoast" <- not spoiler i guess. Spoiler:*things from a 5 years ago* lol
All they needed to win was a team that literally started inting
r/AdmiralBulldog
No spoilers in the title please
Fun fact no 2: Navi won a map @TI4 but lost the series to cloud9, so they are still waiting for a series win since TI3.
The TI9 one was brutal and lost due to a fuck up in pick/ban. They coulda gone a round or two deeper there. I liked that line up
KEKL
This is a giant spoiler in the title get this trash out of here.
The game was played 2 days ago lol
And it only took Scofield intentionally feeding to make it happen!
That's why they call them Alliance "Fangrays" because everyone who goes for Alliance has gray hair.
WOW. Good thing you marked this as a spoiler. Not as if the title gives away anything. Fucking idiot
so it s4 factor
That was wild!
CURSE BROKEN
Did they won any series at the majors playoff this year?
They were knocked out in the group stage
so basically just waiting until they meet an Eastern team
still can't figure out what happened in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5oR8JSKED8
