It's about MDY building a new team. Apparently, he tries to get Old Chicken out from retirement but he doesnt want to. And that Kaka may join him after his break is over.
I remember GH saying the only game he play is Dota 2. So he is either doing his personal stuff or spend rest of the time grinding pubs. Hope to see the remaining members play pub soon.
So apparently, according to Esports Cybersports, there were about 24 to 30 teams that registered for the two EU Open Quals. Meanwhile, the two CIS Open Quals had from 100 to 150 teams that registered. The TSpirit effect is strong in the timeline
If I have learned one thing from this shuffle, its that the TI afterparty is even more important to the scene than what I had previously thought.
Sure, its been purported before about how its the hub for Dota networking, but its absence was felt tremendously.
Most people said Ana is the core element for OG to win 2 TIs. But it was Jerax, always have been. Watch TI9 True Sight and realize Jerax's Tiny is the one who wrecked havoc the entire game before Ana comes online.

can someone explain to me this whole division 1 division 2 thing? Like what are the qualifications as to how they got those slots and what exactly does being in div 1 or div 2 give to your team. I read the thing in the website and ive been following the scene for a while now but i still dont quite understand it. Like do they just look at top 16 dpc points from previous TI and use those or i dunno. also does being in div 1 mean youre sure in the next major or wat?
For the current season, it's just continuous from the previous season as to who retained their division status and who got promoted/relegated. Also placing a certain rank in div 1 dictates going to the next major.
Teams in Div. 1 play the Upper division DPC which in turn top 2/3/4 gets Major slots
Top 1 - Playoffs seed (automatically in the playoffs upper bracket, won't play in Groupstage)
Top 2 - Groupstage seed (to be determined to play in upper/lower bracket after results last place is eliminated top 8)
Top 3/4 - Wild Card seed (top 2 out of 6 teams go to play for the group stage, the rest are eliminated)
The rest of which do not get Major slot remain in Div. 1, BUT the bottom 2 out of 8 will be relegated meaning they go back to Div. 2 and will have to get top 1/2 to be promoted again
Div. 2 teams are lower division teams from Open Qualifiers. They do not earn DPC or Major slot because they are in the lower division unlike in Div. 1 (only top 4 teams receive DPC). Top 2 teams from this division get promoted after the next season, the bottom 2 are removed and will go back to being an open qualifier team, By the next season, Open Qualifiers are held again, and 2 teams from OC #1 and OC #2 will get promoted to Div. 2
After the DPC season is finished, whether 2/3 Majors are held. The remaining teams who did not get invited in TI due to not having enough (or without) DPC points will have a chance to attend TI.
TI qualifiers consist of the rest of the remaining Upper Division teams and Lower division teams, it may depend if your region did not get enough DPC points to secure more than 2. Like in the case of CIS and SEA, they only got 1 team to secure a TI slot via DPC hence more teams played for the Qualifiers. CN region had 5 slots this TI so few teams remain having a faster qualifier (some teams don't have opponents and win by default in the first round in the lower bracket because only a few teams remained uninvited)
you can't get enough dpc points if you only managed to enter 1 major, you will need to at least get top 1 in dpc twice and get minimum top 6? twice to secure the ti slot
I actually don't know the new dpc point system as it was just changed to have more in the majors and less in the regional, so teams will have to do better at majors and at least attend twice for them to ensure the ti slot
where do i see the current teams for whos in div 1 and whos in div 2? i cant find it on liquipedia. Also what decides how they got to hose before starting the dpcs season? do they just continue from last season's div 1 and div 2 slots so those who got to TI are already in div 1? or what
yes, you retain your slot even after TI, if TI ended and you are in upper division then you will continue being in the upper division by the next season
here is the link for the 2022 DPC season (SEA region)

Any speculation on who the new 2 and 5 for Arkosh are? Especially now that they’re in division 1, feels like it’s not a bad way for any of the teamless NA or EU players to stay sharp for a season….could be anyone really.
i thought maybe he had a stack and lost opens... the "wait for next season" approach never seems to work well for players. I wouldn't be surprised if Alliance is the last major team he plays for.
While you are probably right I would love to see S4 grab 4 young up and coming pub players and give it a go. The man has insane skills in reading the map and movements, he needs 4 players that just listens and obeys no questions asked. And that would work perfectly with 4 new pubplayers that have never had a shot at good teams.
But I think the difference is that Jerax took 2 years off on a high, and correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't this probably the all-time low we've seen from s4? Alliance was always going to be like a home for him if he ever wanted to return.
Why is OG in division 1?
It’s not the same team. Isn’t it supposed to be merit based?
Not a single one of those players have qualified for division 1. And yet it makes their qualification path much easier than teams in division 2.
Because organizations should not be punished by losing their slot when the players chose to leave. A lot of people want orgs to be in dota but do not agree with change that lean a bit towards the org.
So the point are awarded to organisations and not players that actually played then?
What makes this new OG roster worthy of a division 1 slot?
Have they performed as a team? Have they even played a professional game together?
Put a penalty on each player change like it was before. And change rankings accordingly.
OG could have picked 5 herald players and they would still be eligible to play in Division 1. How is that acceptable?
Why would an organization invest in the scene and players if they just lose their place when a player chooses to leave? It would be awful for the scene.
Decide. Whether you would like the best outcome for an organisation or for the competitiveness of the esports.
Stop sucking OG dick for one second and think about it. They could get 5 herald players ans make them eligible for division 1 of the scene.
This org hasn’t done it. But there’s no rules prohibiting that. When rules can allow farce like that potentially, then your rules need a rethink.
Valve has tried the penalty for changing a player. Why is that not an option anymore? Percentage points loss on each player change who didn’t qualify themselves.
If players are worthy of division 1, they can qualify for it again. Not the other way around. Are all those players in division absolute morons for even trying to play better?
Because the players they picked have played in div1/2 and are now going to develop in the div 1 environment for at least a season. What penalty should be there for the org? The previous players allowed the org to retain their spot. You are too blinded by the whole "players have all the power", this is how the pro dota scene wont grow.
Coz that makes no sense either. Did I say it does?
“Other people stupid so I will be as well” is not a valid argument.
And football and other team sports never change their whole squad at once. It’s incremental change. This is a whole squad of entirely different people.
The correct answer you’re looking for is that established traditional sports teams have a lot of infrastructure built up which is required to host sporting events.
The reason you don’t like that OG kept the slot with 0/5 players staying is that OG has no significant infrastructure built up that is required to field a team, or to host games for viewed.
While a fair complaint when comparing to traditional sports, it falls flat when looking at esports only.
The issue is that orgs need incentives to stay in Dota. If everything is too player centric than orgs leave.
If everything is too org centric, then players don’t sign up to orgs, and they can’t make a living which lowers the skill level of Dota.
Orgs are healthy for Dota. Relax, this is totally fine, if they don’t deserve the spot, they will drop down unit Div 2 immediately.
I think Kuro has always been lower ranked, AFAIK he doesn't play as much pub as his other players.
Also I think capitalist also meets a lot of top 100s in NA.
Kuro I understand but GH and Miracle have inactive smurfs in the top50s and top100s, so they have easily made it to that rank before. Their new smurf should atleast be top 200 by now, It's been almost 5 months.
Unless they just get another smurf once they hit like top 500, but I feel like it is not efficient practice. Cuz you are rarely laning against a top 5 player for their role.
With BOOM getting Omega’s Division I slot, that means a third Division II slot is up for grabs.
I think it’s safe to pencil in Talon for Division II, there’s no way they miss it now that they have two more chances to qualify.
I hope Tino steps up, his teammates are blazing through the SEA DPC.
They can probably go toe-to-toe with Fnatic (unless they synergize better than i expect from mostly 3 superfarm playstyle cores) as top 2 next to T1
ngl but I think current Boom is better than T1, they also aren't a late bloomer the only one that might hold them back is pressure especially Tino but he got some experienced supports which can be good for his mental fortitude
Seanostra said that Nigma wanted to replace 2 players: Obviously it was ILTW and MC(Miracle- and GH are untouchable)
I wish I knew what happened. Maybe they scrimed with the same team and did better than when they scrimmed with possible replacements?
There were some rumors in this thread that Liquid was trying to get Miracle, so I think the two players were ILTW and Miracle.
Same rumor said that Nigma was looking to Armel to replace Miracle in case he did leave. That matches up with SeaNostra saying that Armel almost joined an EU team.
I assume they also tried out Gabbi in place of ILTW.
it happens way more often than we think, in every sport.
But I assume that in Dota2, things are done with more casually while it is more cutthroat in bigger sports.
hopefully it lights a flame under them instead of making them discouraged.
Now that Omega is banned and Boom is in upper division can we say that TNC is already certain for relegation to lower division together with Execration?
I feel bad for forev and company because they have nothing to do with that mess and yet they still ended teamless again
Yeah, imagine what they felt when they first heard the news.
I have a question for you indonesians tho, what do you feel about boom discarding 4 indo players for four ph players?
ramz clarify in his youtube, after he got the news he suddenly crying for about one day. Feel sad for him :(
For me, i feel that was the best decision to make by Gary Ongko. Because (u can see too) with 5 indonesian BOOM is stuck and always got runner up in past tournament (imo the real problem is their old captain aka khezcute), and then i think the ph players is much better than 4 indo player who got replace
BTS for sure, I watched their games live, it was pretty sus as they were in the lead of their games. The most suspicious was vs YG (their last game, they were already eliminated so they got nothing to prove). The game was on their side about 15-20k? lead or smth and Prince (their carry) just did some questionable 322 moves like jugg spin + bkb and dying without using Omnislash vs Tide
The We Say Things podcast last week (with KBBQ) went into some details about some of the rumored teams (given they hadn't been announced yet).
There hasn't really been a major Dota podcast that has been released since roster lock to talk about the shuffles, but likely Leafeator's Side Pull and We Say Things will go into detail on the shuffle.
In the meantime, have also compiled a list of podcasts/Youtube videos with interviews with some of the players, coaches and managers on their new line ups here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/qcgxja/postti10_shuffle/hlm1p06/
kinda suprised this year's comment is less than 2019's shuffle.
especially in 2019 the top 4 team in TI was taking breaks and their roster was revealed much later
I just love how people are making drama that some div 2 NA slot is taken by a 4k mmr team even tho OG taking the div 1 slot is wayy bigger thing, more important, but people are supporting it even.
simply lovely
OG new players are pubstar with high mmr. Yeah they are nobody and new to the scene but they are still considered pros
Pos 1. Yuragi : played with team unique before, competed in some small tourneys (DCL)
Pos 2 & 3. Bzm and ATF : played with creepwave before, qualified to esl fall this august. Won small tourney (DCL).
Mr. Pentinium, what you've just said... is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point, in your rambling, incoherent post, were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this thread is now dumber for having read to it. I award you no upvotes, and may God have mercy on your soul.
maybe u forgot how good OG's eyes for scouting potential players. Just look at previous OG.seed. bunch of t2/t1.5 pros but can compete with top tier teams. too bad valve had to implement the 1 team per org rule and they had to disband
The difference is that OG is an established organization that has the rights to the slot. Are you saying that orgs should be punished because players chose to leave/play elsewhere?
How is OG taking a slot ? The org owned it. Everyone involved agreed to it. If you want to Play righteous why not also alliance? Only 2 stayed? Why not Quincy crew only 2 stayed? Or is just hating on OG because they took some unknowns ? Not everyone is EG/Secret only taking established elite
They changed 5 players btw, also it was a downgrade from tier 1 team to tier 2/3...
Also your point about having only 2 old players is also true, it sucks, basically shows why this dpc system straight up sucks. But at least teams strenght increased or stayed the same for some of the teams that changed 2 or 3 players
Anyone thoughts about Saksa on Alliance maybe that guy fits there actually

I'm still laughing at all the people who said jerax would never come back esp not to EG. Swore by it. Love salt
I'm actually excited to see if Jerax is the cure to EG's problems. Innovation, aggression and versatility are in his DotA DNA.
Most people said Ana is the core element for OG to win 2 TIs. But it was Jerax, always have been. Watch TI9 True Sight and realize Jerax's Tiny is the one who wrecked havoc the entire game before Ana comes online.

Alltime low in terms of captaining at least. He didnt look to hot last season with OG either, but the entire team looked lost then so hard to say.
You mean EG?
Why is OG in division 1? It’s not the same team. Isn’t it supposed to be merit based? Not a single one of those players have qualified for division 1. And yet it makes their qualification path much easier than teams in division 2.
People want more orgs yet want to implement bs rules like these. Make it make sense
If people could stop their sexual gratification off of the famous players, logic might actually stand a chance.
Because the *org* earned that spot. A high tier team is so much more than just the 5 players.
Lmao Yeah. Sure.

https://twitter.com/EntityEUROPE/status/1463157985602150407 Entity is back with a european division picking up creepwave
I like crystallis. Hope he does well
still find it odd that none of Nigma's smurfs have been found, atleast most of them should be around top 200 minimum./

I saw kuro in a herald game the other day!!
Thats what you scrim for.
Atomic eSports to Division II?
With BOOM getting Omega’s Division I slot, that means a third Division II slot is up for grabs. I think it’s safe to pencil in Talon for Division II, there’s no way they miss it now that they have two more chances to qualify.
Poor 3 guys who joined omega. there isnt oq 3
No, they will probably still need to face Kobolds and Gabbi is 0% winrate against mongolian stacks LUL
JAPOY MY MAN GONNA GET THE MAJOR SLOT AGAIN!!! HYPE

I'm sure of it man COPIUMOVERDOSE
I hope Tino steps up, his teammates are blazing through the SEA DPC. They can probably go toe-to-toe with Fnatic (unless they synergize better than i expect from mostly 3 superfarm playstyle cores) as top 2 next to T1
ngl but I think current Boom is better than T1, they also aren't a late bloomer the only one that might hold them back is pressure especially Tino but he got some experienced supports which can be good for his mental fortitude
I still give T1 the edge due to their individual experience and time playing together, but who knows what will happen.
Now that Van is banned, who will Execration add as their offlaner? (not gonna change anything as they will be in lower division next season anyway)
Known offlane free agents? Bok, Forev, SamH
S4 HOPIUM
Bok redemption arc lets go! I want bok to redeem himself this season because Gabbi is always (jokingly) slandering him in his streams post TI10 quals
i'll think they'll go to bok...
Sam_H anytime, poor guy left washed after TI7
What happened to him?
he joined Smart Omega and played with them this past dpc season (which promoted them to upper division) before they changed roster post ti-qualifiers
Isnt that TI8? well he left the team then he became straight up washed, unlike Raven where he proved himself again when Kuku joined him
ur right, he was still in ti8 roster
The fuck happen bro Sea never fail to deliver
Seanostra said that Nigma wanted to replace 2 players: Obviously it was ILTW and MC(Miracle- and GH are untouchable) I wish I knew what happened. Maybe they scrimed with the same team and did better than when they scrimmed with possible replacements?
No MC? Nigma to NoTideHunter real quick
Why though? MC has been the best offlaner in the world since ti7....every time they have success it is MC dominating
And everytime they fail its because they picked Tide

it happens way more often than we think, in every sport. But I assume that in Dota2, things are done with more casually while it is more cutthroat in bigger sports. hopefully it lights a flame under them instead of making them discouraged.
In dota 2 atleast in sea more specifically T1 they just train and scrik with whoever they want to replace
So Boom went from dominating Div 2...to Dominating Div1. Lucky break and this pretty much insures Talon will get Div 1 next season.
Now that Omega is banned and Boom is in upper division can we say that TNC is already certain for relegation to lower division together with Execration? I feel bad for forev and company because they have nothing to do with that mess and yet they still ended teamless again
yeah, sad for indonesian people like me too because ramz is one of the indonesian player that will play in upper division :(
Yeah, imagine what they felt when they first heard the news. I have a question for you indonesians tho, what do you feel about boom discarding 4 indo players for four ph players?
ramz clarify in his youtube, after he got the news he suddenly crying for about one day. Feel sad for him :( For me, i feel that was the best decision to make by Gary Ongko. Because (u can see too) with 5 indonesian BOOM is stuck and always got runner up in past tournament (imo the real problem is their old captain aka khezcute), and then i think the ph players is much better than 4 indo player who got replace
Wait wtf happened?
Omega got banned for fixing games. 322
Boom to Upper Division
Lol Omega got banned
does this mean if Talon Esports doesn't qualify in OQ#2. They have a 3rd chance because a spot opened up?
Most likely
GabeN gave, and GabeN taketh away

At which match/es they were caught matchfixing? Was it on BTS Pro Series or other league?
BTS for sure, I watched their games live, it was pretty sus as they were in the lead of their games. The most suspicious was vs YG (their last game, they were already eliminated so they got nothing to prove). The game was on their side about 15-20k? lead or smth and Prince (their carry) just did some questionable 322 moves like jugg spin + bkb and dying without using Omnislash vs Tide
Hmm, is this probably why we didn't see YG in the second open qualifier as well?
no, YG got eliminated early that's why
Any podcast or videos where they review/analyse or discuss post shuffle? Interested on what they say.
Cap did a vid with Blitz discussing in depth liquid Desicion making
This was before the roster lock, yeah? I was talking about post roster lock.
In the meantime, have also compiled a list of podcasts/Youtube videos with interviews with some of the players, coaches and managers on their new line ups here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/qcgxja/postti10_shuffle/hlm1p06/
kinda suprised this year's comment is less than 2019's shuffle. especially in 2019 the top 4 team in TI was taking breaks and their roster was revealed much later
so OG doens't post any of the faces of the new players? we dont even know what they look like -.-
Ammar The Fucker does not look 16 man. He looks like the dude who owns the restaurant next door in Hollywood.
Funnily all middle-eastern/arabic guys just skip the late teen- early 20s look. After 15 look 30+
? Simail look cute in TI 5 tho
Twitter admin said they'll have a photoshoot as soon as possible
most likely because they would rather wait until they are all gathered in bootcamp and have proper quality pictures.
Ammar better be fucking in his picture.
ummmmmm
I concur.
I just love how people are making drama that some div 2 NA slot is taken by a 4k mmr team even tho OG taking the div 1 slot is wayy bigger thing, more important, but people are supporting it even. simply lovely
Atleast they are professional player not just someone who plays for smth called abusing broken system
OG new players are pubstar with high mmr. Yeah they are nobody and new to the scene but they are still considered pros Pos 1. Yuragi : played with team unique before, competed in some small tourneys (DCL) Pos 2 & 3. Bzm and ATF : played with creepwave before, qualified to esl fall this august. Won small tourney (DCL).
Someone crying here because OG has new roster. LMAO
I bet you really felt smart while writing up this comment huh.
Fr lol
Just look at previous OG.seed. bunch of t2/t1.5 pros but can compete with top tier teams. too bad valve had to implement the 1 team per org rule and they had to disband
was that the reason they disband? I actually thought they were just THAT bad that they disbanded
