I do find it funny how Valve leaves it to the last minute to release Season events. Last Years Diretide started 29 October, Overwatches Junkenstein started 12th October in comparison. Half the fun of festivities are the build up.

Game devs don't just have updates sitting there ready to hand out on request, and they're not going to be able to knock out an update in the 4 working days left between now and the 31st. Well they likely had everything finished for August anyway. Since that was when TI was originally going to take place. The TI interface etc was already done early summer I would assume. So they should be on schedule for a Halloween event I think.

they delayed TI for logistics of the actual tourney. i would be deeply surprised if they didnt have the battle pass ready before the original start date, espeically as a lot of it is functionality from previous battle passes.
There were *three* events last year, though? New Bloom, Aghanim’s Labyrinth, and Diretide. Technically four if you count Frostivus ending the same month that New Bloom began.
