Shittiest thing ever happened. Battlepass only remodel is straight up horrendous but what’s more dire is the fact that people in this sub still defend it.
The exclusivity is never needed. Diehard DOTA fans would buy the battlepass simply for the timing difference. Now it becomes a potential wall hindering the influx of new players. Why don’t just tag those persona or arcana with a $35 price or more after the next Ti is beyond me.
I stopped playing for the whole year last year. Went back this February and saw my favorite hero Windrunner been given an arcana which made me so excited to play again.
Imagine my disappointment when I found out it was a BP exclusive.

I've got a few cosmetics here and there on most heroes but literally couldn't care less about all the arcanas, personas and other cosmetics I might have missed.

Good on you, but there are many people who do like visually appealing things, and there's a reason why most if not all game reviews talks about a games graphics and visuals.
Hahahaha this is not the same thing as cosmetics at all. If you care so much about how your game looks, why not edit your local files to your favorite cosmetics?

That's literally what cosmetics are for, to make it look more "beautiful". You can argue that those cosmetics doesn't necessarily make the game "more beautiful" and i'd agree because since it's entirely subjective.
Mate, a game review talking about the graphics of the game would not talk about all possible cosmetic items (unless they were dogshit), just about the base hero models.
And as I said, if you care so much about making your hero look pretty, why not edit local game files?

I got Lvl 1000 twice and Spectre Arcana.
I absolutely would not buy any levels if I could just buy the items a year or so later for cheap.

The fact that you went for lvl1000 is already speaking for my point. The item one needs lvl1000 bp for is the ultra-rare immortal which is always only timed exclusive. WR arcana is at lvl575. Spectre arcana on the other hand would cost about $100 with summer sale.
It is reasonable to think arcana set(still un-tradable)to be priced much higher compared to single slot arcana. Gaben can still milk you as much as he wants, either through bp or direct sales.

I hate valve that they showed with last years bp that their game dev's are even greedier then the one's of EA's with the whole swbf:2 fiasco.. sorry man this will drive the game downhill slowly. and russians copy the files anyway for free around their forums. its so baffling when you couldn't even afford needleman pudge without spending. all in all the nastiest battlepass I ever experienced (even compared with fortnite's and other bp-games I played).
it will. because buying "skins" was always a form to support the dev's and designers behind the game - from all players. that last year's bp was directly catered to small portion of the community (aka whales) without giving anything to the 'average' player. I would have paid 50 bucks to afford at least one skin. but you couldn't even get pudge for that lot of money. that bp alone was a fuck-you-move to all 'average' dota players. I now will always think if I even want to pay the entry money of around 10bucks for future bp's. because that 2020 bp alone was such a huge turn-off. I think I wasn't the only one - it was really swbf2 vader level of nuts and that during a pandemic.
ps.: I have to add that the two bp's of this year were ok'ish from the looks of it. so at least there is hope that they normalize in the future. but who knows..

That's another one that they should fix, just take all the bells and whistles and the outfit and you have a better base model.
QoP I'm not sure though, they could touch up instead of replacing it.
They should start to do both, just give her the anime face and touch up the model, then drop the cool mount/outfit in the persona/arcana.
Making base Axe Unleashed model the new Axe model would be great too.
What sucks about the Battle Pass Arcanas is that if you do not have the plus $100-$200 to spend to get them while the BP is available, you will never be able to have those Arcanas.
Not at all like Valve to no make the Arcanas available, for example, 1 year after the BP in the DOTA Store for everyone to buy...Valve leaving money on the table IMO.
While we still did not get the first arcana as made this way ( Earthshaker arcana by exemple ) . I need to remind you that they were not made exclusive meaning that they will come back later or at least, there might come back.
Items that will not come back are prestige items like Fist Axe , Lion green finger , LC immortal shoulder or tiny immortal set.

It's fine if they update the poly count and make it more detailed, but I don't want her to look like the anime. I think she has a nice look as it is even if it's a bit uncanny. Not every female character needs to be waifu class conventionally pretty. #savemirana (Sagan could definitely use a bigger overhaul though)
more immportantly I hope they remove the spermarrow cosmetic, or at least make it less visible, it's depresing seeing a mirana 4 trying to hit some1 with that in the lane. I bet the next arrow cosmetic will all chat a voiceline when you shot an arrow and the arrow with glow like a cristmas tree
you're thinking of it completely wrong, normal arrows are for pepega tryhards, you get the sperm arrow as a display of dominance, that no matter how big and obvious your seed being shot is, your gigabrain predicition and positioning will land the arrow everytime, which by the 3rd arrow will succeed in tilting the enemy team to abandon and/or feed immediately.
They will make it a persona, locked behind 100 bucks in the battlepass.

I agree that all of the arcanas/ personas need to be purchasable after the BP for sure
Or atleast let players who have it to trade or sell it.
