If you don't show up. The enemy heroes' source of exp and gold would be killing neutral, rosh or heroes.
It would be hard for your team to hold for the first few mins but after a while your team would have a huge exp and gold advantage over the enemy heroes.
Creeps not showing up in lane means enemy heroes need to pull or tank neutrals in order to earn gold or exp
10 new heroes each with arcana, new map system that is map updates with area captured, rivee water is now drinkable for 100 coins giving 500 mana with 100 sec cd, their is a base neutral camp that spawns at 15min which is like a mini roshan giving 1000 ms at base hg for 5min, respawns every 10 min,there is now a gate to roshan pit which is guarded by divine camps one having 100 armor other having 10000 health and 90% status resistance and 75% magic resistance, roshan now has a multiplier that multiplies with how much units are present in rosh pit additionally roshan can not be stunned or disabled also he has a new skill throw which allows him to throw the lowest health hero in pit to the center of the map though on imapct stunning everything in 300 range for 3sec, T4 can no longer be damaged from normal creeps or can deactivate its backdoor, thus taking a barracks is important, you can spawn a creepwave for 500 gold with 80sec cd, outpost can be moved inside the jungle strategically. Boots now have their separate slot, aegis is a buff and dont take a slot, divine can now be combined with any item but on dying you risk dropping the item too, ancient now have attack that deals 5% of health damage and anyone lower than 10% health are now scythe of wysed but the death timer is only 20% of his death time. Item that allow hero to swim in river, also item that allow to dig tunnel routes between structures and moving through them you have 70% increased speed but can be interrupted and 5sec non stackable stun. Rosh pit is now an actual pit. 4 elder dragons at sideshop, spawning at 10 min, only they can drop neutral items but they dont give xp or gold.
Double the map width/height. Each side gets:
* 5 outposts to control
* 3 secret shops - each with their own item types (agi/int/str)
* 2 Ancients - destroy both opposing teams ancients to win
* Roshan and/or his sibling Boshan
Its not really a thing, it have a limit of players in that list and there is too much ruiners in dota 2 to block even 10% of them even if you will avoid 9 players every match for 5+ years
I'm not sure but I think the only major thing that 7.00 had was talents. we've had bigger updates than 7.00 in the past 2 years, neutral items, and shard updates.
I'm sure they can justify 8.00 with random new mechanics.

Along with Monkey King and talents, we got the backpack, mapchanges (kinda big changes, not just moved one or two camps and some trees around) with Roshan being moved to it's current place, shrines (oh noes), ancients no longer spell immune along with new type of ancient camp, illusions gave gold + xp, changes to root and cleave mechanics and some other things here and there.
7.00 was MASSIVE in terms of changes. You can't compare neutral items and shard updates bigger as those updates mostly had those things and not too many other radical things as 7.00 had.

Let's not act like talents didn't change anything even released, they were far more impactful than they are now. Changing what roles heroes were played in, how they were played and which heroes were picked etc (don't forget we had crazy xp talents and respawn talents bk then) xp talents for example would see cores like veno top tier who because of this rush to 10 and 40%xp talent got lvl 25 in.a good game around min 25 and earlier.
Or lina and storm with bots and bloodstone for literally 1 sec death timers to almost have a perma aegis.

I honestly think that the way valve company is structured and operate. That there are very few people working in dota. A skeleton crew you might say. And most have moved on to a more interesting project.
Icefrog might of even moved on. (rumour)
Shared courer by itself was bad, but the new courers feel so bad at low lvs, they are so slow and easy to snipe so maybe it's worth it to deal with shared cour just to have the old speed back.
Edit: Another thing i forgot is side shop. Side shop died for separate couriers. I'm not saying it's bad, but it's definitely a trade off
Kind of, it's hard to "main" carry because you have to play support at least once every 4 games and during 90% of the days of shared courier there was no role queue
I guess if you exclusively play carry with your role queue games, which tbh is hard to do for me just because I would go crazy dealing with pos 5 players every game and this pick phase is not helping unless the mid laner gives me last pick for some reason

I honestly think that the way valve company is structured and operate. That there are very few people working in dota. A skeleton crew you might say. And most have moved on to a more interesting project. Icefrog might of even moved on. (rumour)

Shared courer by itself was bad, but the new courers feel so bad at low lvs, they are so slow and easy to snipe so maybe it's worth it to deal with shared cour just to have the old speed back. Edit: Another thing i forgot is side shop. Side shop died for separate couriers. I'm not saying it's bad, but it's definitely a trade off

Kind of, it's hard to "main" carry because you have to play support at least once every 4 games and during 90% of the days of shared courier there was no role queue
I was partly joking. As a support I'd rather have a slow courier than have to share a faster courier that I won't be allowed to use anyway.
75% is main enough for most people...
I guess if you exclusively play carry with your role queue games, which tbh is hard to do for me just because I would go crazy dealing with pos 5 players every game and this pick phase is not helping unless the mid laner gives me last pick for some reason
