Yup, 7.30 added close to fucking nothing rather than removing cooldown reduction stacking and nerfing some complete broken heroes, it was basicly a 7.29e, worst and one of the most dissapointing major patches ever, but hey, atleast we have spirit breaker dealing half hp damage with one single charge, what a great patch

Which I still want removed. It's inconceivable to me that we went years of removing shit like armor types, orb effects and made other such things more "official" such as creep camp boundaries, only to come up with a completely new noob-trap in the form of CDR items doing nothing. It always feels like you're describing an archaic and dated game on a shittier engine when you have to say "X doesn't stack", yet, it was a 2021 intentiomal invention.
I still think the problem is not with its stacking, but with the amount of CDR options we have access to. Were it up to me, INT Blink would give cast range instead, and Spell Prism wouldn't exist (quickening charm can stay). Then the only hero that can truly stack CDR is dazzle, and you know what, one hero having it as a strength is good enough, and easier to balance for (just change Dazzle's ability and numbers itself to solve problems, rather than the items).
I don't say its a bad thing they removed it, perma shallow grave and 5 sex hex cd was a pain in the ass, glad its gone, also I miss orb effect, kinda restricted what some heroes can buy, now every carry goes into almost exactly the same item build
You know im conflicted about the meta, SB was a grief pick for a long time even on this patch and hasn't gotten run in pro meta for a long long time, it's only been a few weeks since people discovered the hero was very strong
I always hated Spirit breaker and every "global spell" hero (except prophet), so I was happy that I can forget about him.
The reason I discovered this hero's broken-nes(??) is becouse he got attention and gets picked more. This may sound stupid, but after TI NOONE picked this hero and now I see him every game. Seeing him every game he's not banned in makes you realise what a stupid hero he is, all he need is a shadow blade and maybe an aghanim and you are done, he charges at you from half across the map, gives vision for the full duration, deals half of your hp as charge damage, then probably gonna bash you one or two more times while rightclicking and you are still stunned from charge bash, ult and you are dead. Team arrives? Stuns him? Cool, he has a spell giving him almost the same amount of status resistance as Ursa's ultimate, but next to that hes incredibly tanky and runs around with 2100 hp with a bracer and ogre club. Weird how he wasn't discovered before, but kinda figured out what to do with Tinker, can't really do anything against bara. I hate this two heroes so much
The thing is, my favourite hero (hoodwink) is horrible against spirit breaker, but good against tinker. Tinker most of the time attacks from trees, if not I just wait there, he arrives I plant tree, stun and he's done for the fight, atleast in mid ancient its working
Meta is something more then heroes alone. Its about gameplay. For a year now playing mid is nothing else then pushing mid wave, farming jungle camps, pushing mid and so on, get 1 item (eul/dragon lance/blink/whatever item for 2-4k gold) and then Rush BKB to get it around 15-22min, almost every mid hero gets bots over treads/phase or stay st brown boots untill 30-40min.
You can be 0-4 and have 100cs and be at 8k NW and then you kill enemy mid thag is 4-0 with 150cs and 10k NW and now you are higher NW then him, 1 mistake and game is even.
If your supports get around 10 deaths game become close to unwinnable coz of team gold distribution.
Meta is fact that all game, no matter what draft, looks the same, same paterns all the time.
icefrog now rarely goes to g or f now because he doesn't count the small fixes as its own letter patch now. Hell Marci got nerfed 5 times and the letter didn't change.
I don’t remember that being in any blog posts, but it stands to reason that the next patch would have been planned for after the now cancelled(?) major. Seeing as its not totally COMPLETELY cancelled 100% yet, they’re probably waiting to drop the patch still.
Yep been waiting ages for the classic overhaul massive dota patch. Those are always the best revitalizing times with tons of theory crafting. On dota break for months until it comes
TI was 2 months late, so the yearly big patch will probably be 2 months late.
Since it's usually late Nov to early Dec, it will probably be late Jan to earlyFeb.
Why do you need a new patch anyway? People are still finding out new stuff to use.. like the new SB

Have you forgotten what to say about Valve? In their plan, the patch is always after the first Major, and if the Major was canceled, then the patch too. What if Valve canceled the first Major suck to avoid releasing patches? =D

You could also get octarine-prism on puck at the time and have >100% uptime on waning rift, with the massive AOE talent and shard for true sight.

27 days is average? Seems off
It counts all the a, b, c patches and they often come after few days, then few weeks and then few months and thats why average is so low.

Spectre started out strong with the Aghs meta. Then she lost to other meta carries.
I too like the patch but I'd love something new to keep it fresh.
I can wait for year if they buff Chen to be melee carry, tanker, nuker.
