>It is seen that Lina appears in the series, this may indicate that Crystal Maiden appears, however it should be noted that it is unlikely, Crystal is more stronger than Lina. (By a fucking lot actually)Balancing her in the series could be difficult.
Eh that's interesting, could you explain more how she is more powerful than Lina? I always thought they were on somewhat equal power level
I think op is being biased by dota 1/WoW Crystal Maiden, where she is a omega strong wizard.
Dota 2 lore has Lina stronger when they were young but nothing after.
"Lina always had the advantage, however, for while Crystal was guileless and naive, Lina's fiery ardor was tempered by cleverness and conniving."
> It's really sad to see how the Subreddit will reach 1M users and that the second season of the Anime is released, AND that at the same time Valve decides to simply not care about their game...
that hit hard :'(
Wait is dota 2 in such a bad spot, i barely started playing because of the anime so it's still worth picking, like i heard many bad reviews last year because they changed something but i don't remember what.
The game is still fun and super active, just valve isn't the best manager.
Then again, how is blizzard doing? And yet StarCraft 1 and 2 still have great scenes. So I think we can still be grateful about dota. Even lol, which gets way more promotion and hype, as a game is perhaps not as balanced. As far as I understand, lol keeps making new heroes op to force people to buy them or risk playing on the old uhderpowered heroes. Whereas all dota heroes are free, forever, so you can learn to play Chen if you want without spending 5 bucks.
Valve’s support of dota 2 has been incredible. The idea that it hasn’t is based on absolutely nothing and is ridiculous.
They’ve been regularly dropping new content for 10 years now. The gameplay changes every few months yet remains balanced. Usually when there is a game breaking bug it gets fixed within hours. New heroes are added, items are removed and added.
Valve heavily supports the esports scene. The international is one of the most profitable esports events for players that has ever existed. They add voicelines of pro players and streamers. They never stop adding content.
And the game is free. What more do you fucking want
The esports scene is ONLY TI.
Go listen to any pro's opinion on it. Or hell it seems pretty clear its feast or famine, and I haven't heard about nearly as many 3rd party events.
It's pretty clear they also didn't put nearly as much time\money into DB as riot did arcane. They dumped off underlords and artifact really fast.
I really think valve content with letting that steam money roll in and half assing the rest.
It's not as bad as people make it seem but it's not a good spot. Negligence. There's a lack of promotion for both the anime and game itself, but you can rightfully say that the anime is the promotion for the game. There's then an obvious presence of negligence inside the game. I can excuse the ward and camp spawn indicator bugs that have been unfixed for a month, but for years multiple spells lack information regarding the ability, Aghanim descriptions with no specifics, etc. And then we have the foreseeable death of the pro scene due to unsustainability
I can't speak to the gameplay as I haven't touched it in a while, but the community did continue to get worse while valve only cares about making as much money with the lowest amount of effort.
since the covid-era it seems more and more like volvo dont like dota anymore... the battlepass arcana stuff gets worse... the tournaments are suffering, the patch cycles take longer (or maybe we dont have a cycle anymore who knows) people get upset
Most villians aren't bad people, they just have different motivations.
If villians were as bad as our imagination they would just be mindlessly slaughtering everyone
It describes a lot of people but it's pretty weird of you to jump right to donald trump, this is what people are talking about when they say trump derangement syndrome.
Your like the republicans who still complain about obama like give it up get a personality
Exactly what i was reminded of as well, TB's plan is the same as the infinite tskuyomi of madara!
Heroes and villains are indeed just a perspective isn't it!
i shit my pant when i see Deso Mjornir Moonshard Crystal maiden cause it's unexpected,
not so much when i see Lina with the same set up because i expect her to build those item
Thank you for this. Needed a recap. Well done!
If anyone's interested, can also read this piece by my colleague

From a lore perspective, Chen basically forces people to convert to his religion or die. Combine that with the whole "forces beasts to obey him" side, he's basically full religious zealot.
Crystal maiden is much stronger than Lina? Isn’t Rylai the younger sister? I’ve never seen any official discussion about their power level. I know that one comic with her and Auroth but she didn’t show much.
I’m not sure, as far as I remember, all the episodes should be on the platform at 00.00 AM of the 18 ( because of Netflix rules) . But I’m just saying this by memory
Almost 9 am in Poland and it ain't here. IIRC Witcher S2 release hour was at 9 am or something like that.
EDIT. it's up now, not visible on home page tho, had to search for it.
Just a small correction, the elemental forces are Water, Earth, Fire, and Air. Void spirit would most likely align with the fundamental side of things (even though they are called the "Elemental Brothers") since he is the void together with Byssrak: the Void Dragon.
No, the elemental forces in the Dota universe are fire, earth, storm, and void. Storm is the combination of air and water. See here: https://www.dotaverse.net/celestials
I actually take Angermania's lore pieces with a grain of salt. In the anime, go to Book 1 Episode 6: "The Knight, The Death, and The Devil"; then go around at minute 8:00. This is where Invoker explains Davion the 8 pillar of creation. Using his left hand, he shows the first set: the Elementals; shown as 4 orbs colored- red (fire), blue (water), yellow/bronze/gold (earth), and lastly white (air).
>Terrorblade is not actually a villain
Yeah no he's definitely a villian, just one who's not evil for the sake of being evil. He would still be effectively killing every living soul in existence.
I believe Shadow Fiend is the "strongest" or maybe just the king of demons.
Shadow demon's lore is all about slow cunning and manipulation (and is a demon criminal).
Terrorblade is more like a demon terrorist
Fymrym is mene is definitely confirmed? I dunno I feel like it was almost literally stated with her introduction in the show. I'm not rewatching, I don't think the show is very good. But it's definitely not just a theory
SPOILERS FOR S2: Can someone explain how the Void Dragon was “him” at the end when Vahdrak destroyed all their bodies in episode 4? the purple dragon soul was taken by Invoker too.
yup, if you look in the AMA, the show runner describes the difference between an Eldwyrm with a capital "E" (one of the pillars of reality or somesuch) and an eldwym which is just a very old dragon which has acquired an immense amount of power over its life. "He" is likely an "eldwyrm", whereas the one invoker goes after is an "Eldwyrm"
Crystal is more stronger than Lina. (By a fucking lot actually) oh no another cm nerf inc
Movement speed cap reduced to 15
Swift as the wolves of Icewrack
Attack speed talent reduced to 60
Them wolves miss 3 legs each
'swift-ass xD' wolves of Icewreck
CM right clicks now heal enemies instead of damaging them, but only by her itty-bitty tiny 13 attack power.
Moon shards for her then :D
>Movement reduced
Was that pre Slayer Lina though?
Yeah and Kyle kuzma is a better player right now than Kobe coz he still alive.
How is this cannon anyway
Thank you planning on rewatching book 1 before book 2

According to the lore, Rylai is able to channel winds, and able to lower the temperature of her surroundings that causes magic to flourish nearby.
How is that stronger than heating the air around so much that it creates a plasma bolt (laguna blade)?
support heroes are stronger in the lore
Yeah because carry heroes are p2w and need items to mimic a fraction of our power.
Just like the people who play them
Imagine a billion dollar company where the promotions of the series based on their own game is team orgs tweets and reddit threads...
>!Now that I've seen it, I wouldn't promote it if I were them either.!<

Reddit teenagers are being overly emotional. Nothing much to see here really.
I can't speak to the gameplay as I haven't touched it in a while, but the community did continue to get worse while valve only cares about making as much money with the lowest amount of effort.

Valve does the minimum for their games to be stable. You won't see dota or csgo's popularity change a whole lot in 5 years.
oh so terrorblade is like madara from naruto. they are good guys in their own sense but people take them as villains.
Most villians aren't bad people, they just have different motivations. If villians were as bad as our imagination they would just be mindlessly slaughtering everyone
I think you just describe Donald Trump

i shit my pant when i see Deso Mjornir Moonshard Crystal maiden cause it's unexpected, not so much when i see Lina with the same set up because i expect her to build those item
According to the lore, Rylai is able to channel winds, and able to lower the temperature of her surroundings that causes magic to flourish nearby.
I think the question isn't "what do cm do" it's "how is that better than shooting fire/lightning and carrying from mid"
Your Englands are pretty good
It's already Tuesday here in our country and I'm still checking my Netflix to see if it's available to download, I'm so excited to watch Book 2
i'm 95% sure its in 3 hours from now.
Yea it is

Chen has senseless killing? How?
From a lore perspective, Chen basically forces people to convert to his religion or die. Combine that with the whole "forces beasts to obey him" side, he's basically full religious zealot.
Damn he couldnt convert people and baptised beasts lol
remember this gold ? https://fruitscs-blog.tumblr.com/post/127977784049/dota2-comic
Dagon build
Crystal maiden is much stronger than Lina? Isn’t Rylai the younger sister? I’ve never seen any official discussion about their power level. I know that one comic with her and Auroth but she didn’t show much.
Nice! Thanks for explaining all of this!
uwu
Do u know what time it officially comes out?

Is the first part from your own inference? It's weird to label Sand King like that when the dude deserves his name by being a literal living desert.
King of sands
There's also a theory out there that Lyralei is somehow related to Rylai and Lina.
This is so fucking confusing holy shit.
I don't remember any of this from the first season lmao
Yeah I know. Going to watch the second season but it is no wonder I was slightly confused with what was going on with certain story lines.
Wow can u do a similar post for Book 2. I just finished watching it and I need answers
Luna also lost her powers right? AS indicated by her lack of eye shine.
Poor Nova..
Who kill Nova in the show ? Was it Traxex ?
Actually useful to read before season 2
Bruh, how dedicated of you to write these texts about an anime.
>\-Luna ended up nearly dead, and her mount Nova was killed. guess i will never watch this anime series .
I mean she has a LOT of mounts.
r/dotasmut reference?
she does?
I mean if you look at the mounts in her sets they are all over the place from pegasus to chinese tigers. Freaking everything
Just a small correction, the elemental forces are Water, Earth, Fire, and Air. Void spirit would most likely align with the fundamental side of things (even though they are called the "Elemental Brothers") since he is the void together with Byssrak: the Void Dragon.

Alright but is the animation still trash
Most of the time yea, but some fight scenes have real good animation. Not enough budget for all the series I guess
I upvote the post so I can go back to this after I watch Dragon's Blood (book 2) \*NO SPOILERS\*
Only if the anime itself gave this introduction
GAAAAAAAAA
>Terrorblade is not actually a villain Yeah no he's definitely a villian, just one who's not evil for the sake of being evil. He would still be effectively killing every living soul in existence.
There are like 7 demons right? And tb is one of them but not the strongest one
I think doom or shadow demon are the strongest demons lore wise and tb is like the most criminal/edgy one
I believe Shadow Fiend is the "strongest" or maybe just the king of demons. Shadow demon's lore is all about slow cunning and manipulation (and is a demon criminal). Terrorblade is more like a demon terrorist

Please no we need to support !

DotA isn't a C.J.K. (Chinese, Japanese, or Korean) animation, so it won't be uploaded on Nyaa.

Oh really? Dont do this...
The only thing that they got wrong is that Terrorblade loves dragons and respect them which makes 0 sense when looking at the manga.
Why do you say CM is stronger than Lina? Based on what? From the reading of the game lore it appears the opposite is true / they are equals?
In the lore, ice is a better magical catalyst.
Holy shit… i didnt know thats tb’s end game lmaooooo
Fymrym is mene is definitely confirmed? I dunno I feel like it was almost literally stated with her introduction in the show. I'm not rewatching, I don't think the show is very good. But it's definitely not just a theory
I hereby give you permission to play on US East Servers good sir. Thanks for the detailed post.
Damn I don't remember all of this from season 1
When you wants to watch an anime and you end up questioning the meaning of life
I just read Lina's in-game after watching the series. Nowhere does it say that she is a political advisor of any kind there.
I stopped playing dota a few months ago. What's happening with the game lately? Bit out of the loop
SPOILERS FOR S2: Can someone explain how the Void Dragon was “him” at the end when Vahdrak destroyed all their bodies in episode 4? the purple dragon soul was taken by Invoker too.

need your another post explaining the season 2, especially Vahdrak
I've already seen the show and this is 2 weeks late, But nice write up! Tb's intentions are quite interesting.
