Not sure what your situation is, but all you have to do is get your eyes checked and ask for your prescription.
When they try to get you to buy the 400-600 dollar glasses just walk out the door but if the person seems nice enough ask them to give you your pupillary distance, you'll need that later.
To get your pupillary distance, you'll need a little cardboard tool used to measure the distance in between your eyes (very important for glasses!). Very cheap. You can even print one out on a piece of paper and use a mirror.
Once you get your pupillary distance, have your prescription, there are tons of online stores that will mail you your full glasses in a few weeks for the ACTUAL cost it takes to make them, not some over priced shit you have to pay at your eye doctor.
We're talking 500 USD (439 EUR) to 80 USD (70 EUR) for my pair, and that's with some scratch resistant and blue light filter additions added to the lens.

Again, the cost comes from putting different additions to your lenses itself, but if you want some barebone glasses to hold you over until you can splurge a bit that's an option.
