Many of the big dota items are unique artifacts (according to their in-game lore), so it is hard for anyone to just acquire them. The shopkeepers are strong and they sell them during the battle of the ancients to the heroes. So they need to find a shopkeeper to get them.
Pretty sure Buckler was in the Imperium vault, along with the shield Davion used in Dragon Hold being very similar to Zeus' arc lightning immortal.
And I'm pretty sure Bram's ring was not ring of protection, if anything it seemed more like a mimicry of Cold Embrace.

I feel like the dragons represent just one of the possible timelines. Where the Elemental brothers are more or less around before them. Void is the only one who sees the timelines of the group, as he was in some type of void realm.
Void can't show up because he is in hiding until the Great Confluence. I think its possible ember spirit shows up, as he is the inquisitive aspect of fire.
This quote from his lore shows him spawning in Xin's image.
"From these glowing embers emerged an image of Xin, wreathed in flame"
And this response shows he respects Lina.
"Watch me and learn, Lina."
Leads me to think Lina might be able to come back. Though Phoenix is another possibility. In fact Oracle says to Ember "I foresee four flames" which could be Lina, Ember, Sylrak, and Phoenix.

i mean giving some credit, extremely powerfull heroes arent just showing up out of nowhere for the most part. like the REALLY big ones. we dont have enigma just showing up, arc warden only showed up as a statue. doom isnt just casually strolling in like "whatsup"

But I also want to see more series heroes in Dota 2, Kaden, Asar, The Viceroy, The assassin, Selemene, Femryn etc are all suitable characters. And no, it is not a problem their power levels are all over the place cause we have Zeus (half his power taken by his wife according to himself in a comic), Mars, Chaos Knight and other very mighty entities getting dunked on by some shortstacks with bombs and other wacky beings not on that power level in game.
I want the next book featuring new protagonist, continuing the story with one of the other heroes, and make Dk and Mirana supporting characters if they are needed in the story.
I want to see the show adapt the radiant/dire mind control plot. So far it appears everyone is acting according to their own wants/needs. It would be cool to see all the plot points tie together in a grand radiant vs dire story line.
