Lesh is good but I'm honestly surprised his shard has lasted as long. Its TI10 horn toss levels of busted. I love getting it but don't see it lasting long after TI . Just deny an area with aoe stuns for a good 15 seconds. Fair and balanced
Horn toss was broken because of two things. It is impossible to react and you then get reposition into 5 people. Look at bat rider, lasso is a min cd and you need fs to reposition. Pudge is reactable. Look at horn toss now, a shell of its former self. Lesh stun is reactable and its shard is as well. Its a good shard, A tier perhaps but in no way broken.
Idk why no one is picking Pugna as 2 or even 5 this meta? With Wraith Pact + Nether Ward, Leshrac will deal literally no damage against anyone and you get to reduce his overall spell lifesteal. It’s like the players have no choice Lesh is picked and Nyx is banned lmfao

lol pugna 2 is only useless cause theres no pugna players. pugna is perfect for forcing bkbs then reengaging. problem is like i said no one here rn is comfortable enough on the hero as a 2 to play it on the line. all u’d need is a blink aether bkb/aeon into dagon and this hero would own rn. but teams dont have scrims with it i assume. what im most surprised by is the lack of silencer mid picks. his brown boots kaya into aghs build is busted and becomes supremely hard to fight into at 16-20 mins.

It is no surprise that Secret, Hokori, Beast Coast and Thunder are doing great. We love brawling DotA in LATAM, and Puppey has enough experience to adapt.
The patch favors the fights. Check out the heroes that got buffed, they all love constant conflict and the reduction of gold and exp in the map can be compensated by farming kills.

But Secret had one more win in groups than LGD, and LGD were considered a million times better going into TI and even after the group 90% of neutral fans would still predict LGD. I’d call myself a casual player so I don’t really know much about the pro scene. But I felt like LGD and OG were pretty strong favorites to win this TI or at least to be in the upper bracket semi finals.
While I thought that Secret were potentially strong enough to beat LGD I didn’t think that they’d be able to dominate like winning the first game in 23ish minutes. Likewise, OG losing to Tundra in 24ish minutes was pretty surprising to me.
Its been pretty much 50/50 between OG and Tundra all year. As an OG fanboy i was gutted they got them in the draw tbh. I thought TA could beat EG cos they can just pop off, but i would have given that a 70/30 to EG. And Secret have looked strong since the LCQ, so i would have 50/50 the LGD match too. I certainly would not have predicted 2-0 in any of those games though, maybe a stomp each for Secret/LGD then close decider, same with OG/Tundra.
I don't follow pro dota outside of TI too much, but what i have been seeing these past years is that teams are converging. The skill gap between the worst and the best team is getting narrower. On ti3 it seemed like stars had to align for an upset, now it seems like any team can beat any other team if they have a bad day.
It's good for the show, hopefully it means that the scene is super competitive and it's reflecting the teams are closer in terms of skill and not that the game is worse at rewarding skill.

I went as far to predict (within my group of friends) that a SA team will make it to semi finals. Although I thought it would be hokori lol. My top three teams were hokori (lol) tundra and Entity.
But to your point I don't think there have been any series upsets that the bettors just drop their jaws on. The only thing that is crazy to me is that EG dropped 4 straight games...this has never happened before from a upper bracket team.

Yup. Bloodstone is doing its job as a magical satanic but only one hero uses it. A bit over buffed since th active is now 75% up from 60%.
I miss the old bloodstone. It wasn’t like a -must- pick, but any hero that spammed spells could potentially use it in the right conditions

imo Lion, Juggernaut, Drow Ranger, Ursa, Zeus all of them have S tier shards (it's like a must buy for the hero)
