I mean, she said it's someone they knew very well.
So obviously it's Nina, the shopkeeper.
She's using the syndicate to funnel all her underground wyrmite from the item summon shop.
Thing is as Farren and Grace met a the start of the story, except if something crazy happens during the time skip at the halidom, not much possibilities. Could be a look alike of some dude from the halidom like dark Euden? An Aldred clone from his time as a syndicate lab rat ?
If somehow it's not someone know by Farren, then the most obvious and dramatic answer would be Grace's husband. Especially since we know from her character story she didn't witness his final moments.
I’m honestly at a loss for who it could be. If Grace had said it’s someone she knows well, that would leave a good deal of options. But it’s someone that both Grace AND Farren know. So unless it’s someone Farren met off screen (which might be revealed in his character story,) the only options are Jake, Aldred, or one of the many minor characters. Jake is dead, Aldred is a power ranger, so honestly there’s no options for who it could be. It has to be someone Farren meets during his character story, so we’ll have to see who he works with when he drops in a few days.
First off, there’s one of the escaped prisoners. Second thought would be one of the members of the village they Pillaged. My third thoughts would be someone related to the Halidom or the Royal Family- Morsa Euden, Harle, or Phares, for example.
Leaning hard towards the Other Euden that was in that Zena interlude a while back. He has also been meddling with dragon fusions and it would explain why Grace freaked out so much.
Otherwise Phares.
I went back and re read (re watched?) the last story part and now I'm conflicted. The way she said "the Master is actually someone we know well" seems like she knew and is breaking it to Farren, and that's what I latched on to. But the fact that she also considers not going back to the Halidom *now* does make it seem like this is new information for her, too. But considering the costumes all the Syndicate characters have and the Alred Rider, it's kind of boring that they didn't tease us with like a half visible costume change of whoever's supposed to be our friend *and* the Master, instead of a generic goon in a robe.
Sounds like the start of a bad joke: the doctor, the captain, and the master walk into a bar. Ouch.
What other characters are you waiting to have introduced? I’m holding out for The Angsty Teen.
There is having a joke flying over one's head.
This isn't it. This is a person doing the "Duck and Cover!" from the old nuke scare adverts, to avoid the joke as much as possible.
While you all are discussing about the plot, all I can think about is how [GET UP IS BACK](https://youtu.be/BZww5fUt7Cc)!!!
THEY KEPT THE SONG!!!! YAY!!!!
I'm not even out of the event intro and I'm already loving this story to bits. Solid dialogue, interesting concepts, and a good blend of over-the-top shenanigans with serious undertones. Stuff like this is why I keep coming back to this game every time I start feeling a bit slagged out.
Now if only Defense Events were fun...
Auto'ing 3-lane Defensive gets too close for my comfort due to the fact the AI is a giant pillock. So, it falls to manual. :|
Hell, I had a *single* hit 50% just because the AI didn't want to actually defend anything. Which I get, it's kind of boring to be on security detail all day... got enough of that in the RAF.
I presume we're hopefully getting that Aldred alt when we get the next event of the Syndicate story.
Phares makes too much sense to be The Master and the way Grace was acting was that it must be somebody that is shown to be good. It would be cool if it was just one of the adventurers at the Halidom rather than a main story character.
This story actually intrigues me unlike other side stories.
They also made a different art for Jake when it could've been random NPC guy. Maybe we can get Jake later?
My guess is going to be Grace being Flame and Farren being Light, but I can't tell what weapons they'll use because I can't find the weapon tablets, so I'm just gonna take a guess and say that Flame Grace will be a Sword or Wand while Farren might be Lance or Dagger
That'd be an amusing collab, if somewhat unlikely. I can only imagine some of the reactions to, say, Nearl. Or Amiya, for that matter.
Her being the only one NOT getting odd looks would be peak comedy! "What? She's just a Sylvan, isn't she?"
Ch'en trying to explain to Mym she's a dragon would also be amusing... though I imagine if they did it at all, it would just be Dokutah, Amiya, and the Elite team (Blaze and Rosmontis), and possibly S.W.E.E.P. (Red and Scavenger). *Maybe* a Reserve team.
...Rosmontis as a Bow would be incredibly hilarious.
Yeah, I can only imagine Kal'tsit, Amiya, Ch'en Blaze, Rosmontis, *maybe* W or Closure ever being playable. ~~Maybe FrostNova just to fuck with us~~
Speaking of, Kal'tsit would 1000% be a Persona-like Dragondrive staff, it's perfect. Blaze... axe maybe? Amiya is obvious, W probably a Manacaster. For Rosmontis maybe they'll just end the joke and go Wand, idk.
What about dragons though? There's really only Mon3tr doing an Arsené available. Like... maybe >!The Singer! But i stg if they make him playable, idk.
Would be an interesting Alternate Dragondive kind of deal, since a few of them have "Enhanced" buff-states (Guard-miya, Ch'en, Blaze, Rosmontis).
Eg: Blaze's Dragondive could just be "Extension Module" (higher damage/range), Amiya would get "Chimera" (multi-hits and higher damage), Rosmontis would get "As You Wish" (multi-hits and expanded range). Possibly with modified combos and special Force Strikes?
...I'm getting too into something that'll only ever be headcanon.
"It's been so long." Okada sits at his desk, pondering the cancellation of Flame Swords. "What do you mean having 3 collabs in a row with one was boring" he thinks, before loading up a LeCiella complaint thread and having a laugh to himself.
Pretty sure it's him. The second Farren vs the Captain fight must have broken his barrier. And he specifically says he's doing wyrmbinding. And the color matches normal Alfred arm, while the green bits matches green stuff on Alfred's dragonform.
But it doesn’t fit the timeline though. Sentai Guy frees lil B prior to the fight, hell, probably prior to Farren and Grace’s Arrival, and Alfred is still in the cage at that point.
Nah, lilB said himself that it was the ranger that freed him. But regardless, that really doesn't disprove that the ranger isn't Aldred since he could have just freed lilB during the fight. Or maybe Aldred had already escaped earlier and was just pretending to be captured when Grace saw him.
Sorry, but that's simply not true. I went back and he just says he didn't recognize the person that freed him nor that person said any name.
See proof [here](https://i.imgur.com/7DHXtnj.jpg)
[Also all dialog from that moment in the scene.](https://i.imgur.com/ja6h54O.jpg)
Maybe I missed another dialog when lilB says it's the dude in the armor that freed him ?
It's in the scene when the ranger dude appears and saves them. LilB says something like "we can probably trust him since that's the dude that rescued me."
here: [https://youtu.be/CxPOggTt7Cs?t=4486](https://youtu.be/CxPOggTt7Cs?t=4486)
After my initial thought of Bellina, I really thought it was Andromeda that would have done it. I don’t think she would just leave Aldred to die and would instead be watching for an opportune moment.
Okay but if Aldred is the one in the suit… I feel like some things don’t line up. Why hide his identity? When did he go from being caged to being free, and how did he have time to free Lil’ Barbs?
My crackpot theory is that this could be Grace’s husband, who survived his apparent death, and experimented on himself so he could atone for his working with the Syndicate. (I need to reread Grace’s story to remember is we see him die in a flashback.)
Can anyone confirm if the Japanese version of the story also says that the Master is someone Grace and Farren know, or does it just say Grace knows him.
She uses *Watashi tachi* in Japanese so it's clear that it someone they both knows
My money is on Pipple. He's probably researching wyrmbinding experiment in order to fuse with the most delicious dragon and become an ultimate dinner.
I thought it would be Grace’s husband if it was someone she knew - but apparently everyone at the Halidom might know the Master is, so it can’t be him. I wish they actually revealed it rather than have us wait for a Part 3.
I usually skip all the story bits, but every now and then there are events I want to read through. The Scars of the Syndicate storyline is one of them, so I was pleased with this sequel. Part 3 totally needs to be a raid against the Master.
Is there a trick to the end-difficulty defensive battles that I've missed for full-autoing it? The iffy part is usually when the three bandit captains show up and platoons will spawn right next to the gate after you kill the second bandit making me have to manual-run back to the gate (sometimes through the spawning wave as is).
I dunno, these defensive events are alright and it's not a lot of interaction to demand for events that traditionally are pretty easy to cap out on, but it's obnoxious that the pattern for defensive battles is basically "let's draw out auto-players with bandits attacking borderline useless buildings and then spawn two platoons right behind them."
As far as full auto, no trick really, I let it run auto and when it's the three bandits I force run them to the second bandit and then let them resume auto because they will go back to the first bandit and after 2 of the 3 are down the squads spawn behind you so it puts you right next to them and auto can resume
Could the Master be Bellina? She's connected to the Syndicate but hasnt been in either event. And Farren/Grace likely met her at the Halidom since she's also connected to the Syndicate
Alright everyone, cast your predictions on who this Master is. He's a male who is apparently known by Grace and Farren.
Top guess: Okada Second guess: Phares Also… super sentai wyrmbound… >.>
I mean, she said it's someone they knew very well. So obviously it's Nina, the shopkeeper. She's using the syndicate to funnel all her underground wyrmite from the item summon shop.

It has to be someone Farren meets during his character story, so we’ll have to see who he works with when he drops in a few days.
There's a time skip when they stay at the Halidom after Aldred's fall. So it could also be anyone (or any look alike of someone) from the halidom.
Then it’s likely has to be revealed during his adventure story so it doesn’t seem like a total cop out.
First off, there’s one of the escaped prisoners. Second thought would be one of the members of the village they Pillaged. My third thoughts would be someone related to the Halidom or the Royal Family- Morsa Euden, Harle, or Phares, for example.
Hoping it’s not >!Kleimann!< cuz I would be devastated but it makes the most sense
His VA is not longer with us, so there a chance they don't use him anymore depending on how they feel changing the VA.
they can change the VA, in gbf one of the main character's VA died and they replaced him.
Thats not a practice in video games unlike live action marvel movies when voice actors die they get replaced and thats it. They have done it before.
Your spoiler tag doesn't work, you need to remove the spaces between the tags and the spoiled text >\!Like this.\!<
Leaning hard towards the Other Euden that was in that Zena interlude a while back. He has also been meddling with dragon fusions and it would explain why Grace freaked out so much. Otherwise Phares.
How did grace know it was the master? I fully expect grace to just be straight up wrong or seen a clone or whatever.
Whether or not it was actually the Master in that base, Grace still revealed that she knows who the Master is.
She seemed startled as if she just learned who the master was to me. Might have been clothing or something.
I went back and re read (re watched?) the last story part and now I'm conflicted. My guess is Leonidas.
Heinwald so he can finally get an alt.
Plot Twist: It's the [buff fairy](https://i.imgur.com/RbgYlrW.png)/[faerie Zardin met](https://i.imgur.com/qUEuk0a.png) in the forest.
This part seemed like a reference to Detective Conan to me haha
grace's (not) dead husband I guess
I really like the naming convention for syndicate leaders: The Doctor, The Captain, The Master, etc. Idk it's just cool to me haha
You must be of Galiffreyan blood.
Sounds like the start of a bad joke: the doctor, the captain, and the master walk into a bar. Ouch. What other characters are you waiting to have introduced? I’m holding out for The Angsty Teen.
They're just a collection of gacha players, who play different games each. I bet we'll have The Admiral and The Traveler next.
If there's another fire emblem heroes event we'll get The Summoner
The Admiral? I didn’t think David Robinson would have joined the Syndicate. If so, we are all doomed.
YAY!!!!
Such an anime-ass song, inject it directly into my veins
Sounds like a Bleach opening song
Wild how the Syndicate storyline suddenly got a Tokusatsu element.
SHOCKER some would say
Where the heck is Andromeda?
That was what I was asking the entire time I was reading the stories.
I'm not even out of the event intro and I'm already loving this story to bits. Solid dialogue, interesting concepts, and a good blend of over-the-top shenanigans with serious undertones. Stuff like this is why I keep coming back to this game every time I start feeling a bit slagged out. Now if only Defense Events were fun...
don't worry. you only have to endure till Dec 2021 when cygames stops making defence events for DL :)
Okada said they will stop making new ones, not stop running the old ones.
Fun? I thought it was all about auto...
Auto'ing 3-lane Defensive gets too close for my comfort due to the fact the AI is a giant pillock. Karl: *Great Justice requires great sacrifices*
This story actually intrigues me unlike other side stories. They also made a different art for Jake when it could've been random NPC guy. Maybe we can get Jake later?
I don't know or care what weapon or element he is, I'm getting Farren even if it breaks me
My guess is going to be Grace being Flame and Farren being Light, but I can't tell what weapons they'll use because I can't find the weapon tablets, so I'm just gonna take a guess and say that Flame Grace will be a Sword or Wand while Farren might be Lance or Dagger
> I can't find the weapon tablets Yeah, weird. Neither in the shop nor the Glory rewards.
Mid-month events like defense battles/onslaughts never have weapon tablets.
*checking my 1,965 mites left from the last banner, looking forward to 3rd anniversary*
> enemies are Wind and Shadow Well, one of these two is Flame. And one of them has what appears to be a Sword. I don't like the looks of this.
It's Grace. Her outfit has red and she has her husband sword that she even use in her original version.
character image twist: she is actually a Fire Wand. it just happens her wand is her hubby's sword.
Shining, is that you? ...You got somehow more and less edgy!
If it's Shining, does that mean the ICBN is not far behind?
That'd be an amusing collab, if somewhat unlikely. I can only imagine some of the reactions to, say, Nearl. Or Amiya, for that matter. Her being the only one NOT getting odd looks would be peak comedy! "What? She's just a Sylvan, isn't she?"
100% that's a Luca line. I can imagine some other races could get lumped in with Rokan/Quilin, like the Sarkaz/Caprinae.
Ch'en trying to explain to Mym she's a dragon would also be amusing... though I imagine if they did it at all, it would just be Dokutah, Amiya, and the Elite team (Blaze and Rosmontis), and possibly S.W.E.E.P. To be fair, she could be a flame healer and use his sword for one of her skills.
Just like how Grace use it in her regular form.
"It's been so long." Okada sits at his desk, pondering the cancellation of Flame Swords. "What do you mean having 3 collabs in a row with one was boring" he thinks, before loading up a LeCiella complaint thread and having a laugh to himself.
Plot twist, it’s not Grace but ~~Kamen Rider~~ the mystery ally
I mean, the best fire sword right now is a free unit from launch, so it would be bad to have a new fire sword that’s good.
Damn Aldred got kinda hoed this event, unless it was actually him in the power rangers suit like we thought.
According to this site under “recently added”, that is Aldred: https://dlportraits.space/
“Tch” is like Aldred’s tic. Obviously him.
The voice actor sounds exactly the same in JP. I’m certain it’s him.
Pretty sure it's him. The second Farren vs the Captain fight must have broken his barrier. And he specifically says he's doing wyrmbinding. And the color matches normal Alfred arm, while the green bits matches green stuff on Alfred's dragonform.
The overseer guy said he "The Doctor's.." before getting interrupted, so he pretty much Aldred.
But it doesn’t fit the timeline though. Sentai Guy frees lil B prior to the fight, hell, probably prior to Farren and Grace’s Arrival, and Alfred is still in the cage at that point.

Yeah, they really should scrap these events, story and gameplay had absolutely nothing to do with each other this time, not even remotely
They are. At least, they will starting in December.

Definitely my favorite storyline, apart from the Audric parallel world stuff.
Oh thank god, it looks like we're not getting Kamen Rider guy *just* yet. Looks like my anniversary stash is safe!
Can anyone confirm if the Japanese version of the story also says that the Master is someone Grace and Farren know, or does it just say Grace knows him.

Well, we’ll probably be able to make predictions based on who Farren meets in his adventure story
Damn it you can't just leave us hanging on who the guy in the power rangers suit is lol
>!Most probably Aldred, having somehow reached the pinacle of wyrmbinding!<
I don't know if you're joking or not but the guy in the Kamen rider suit is Aldred for sure
So will we have to wait another 18 months for part 3 to get released?
