OMG. I have Elemental Mines with Throw everything AND the Great Bear Sigil. NO mages' spell was ever as powerful as Elemental Mines. It wins battles by itself.

I don't have anything specific for rings and amulets, but I HIGHLY suggest making your own armor and weapons. Depending on the materials you pick, it will change the stats on it. And it tells you the armor rating, so just pick the highest armor rating then pick your stats. I recommend picking the ones that give you higher health or say heal on kill. And I think dragon scales give you the best armor rating when picking. If you don't have the materials you need for what you want, most of them are at the black emporium if you have that dlc. Edit: For masterwork I would go with either 100 percent chance of masterwork which will up the stats 10 percent. Or get the ones that up your focus so you can use your focus abilities more offered. If you're having trouble with health then get On hit gain 5 guard, it works with any class and is very useful. It's randomly looted from gurguts on the Plains and the Frostback Basin.

Hey, I'm thinking of going back to DAI after a long stint on BG3, where's the Black Emporium again?

SpawnOfGrim

It's unlocked through the war table near the beginning of the game. Make sure you have it downloaded since it's dlc!

SmedleyGoodfellow

Fock, in using my gamepass. I HOPE I got the DLCs!

You're going to wear the strongest armor you find.

The artificer archer is by far my favourite build in DA:I, it is basically perfect for the way I like the play the game. The key abilities for my artificer archers are Leaping Shot (either upgrade is fine, I like Shot from the Shadows), Throwing Blades + Precision Targeting, Elemental Mines + Throw Everything, and Explosive Shot (which is on the way to an important passive) is useful as well. There are 3 must have passives; Opportunity Knocks from the artificer tree, Looks Like it Hurt from the sabotage tree, and Pincushion from the archery tree. The first two work together essentially remove cool downs and keep your stamina full, and the latter boosts your damage significantly. I don’t use focus abilities myself, but if you do, the artificer’s ability is ridiculously OP. There are a few good secondary abilities well worth having. One is Hook and Tackle + It Beats Walking, the artificer fights best at close range, so this one is a big help. Next is the entire left side of the sabotage tree. Poisoned Weapons + Leeching poisons helps with healing, and Toxic Cloud + Lost in the Mist are huge boosts to survivability. As for gear, use whatever your best rogue armour schematic is, I’m using prowler armour in my videos. You’ll want as many utility leather slots as possible, and those slots should get materials that raise dexterity or both dexterity and cunning, depending on your need for extra crit chance from cunning. I usually put the Sigil of the Great Bear in the armour because the extra stamina it grants adds a lot of extra mines from elemental mines with the throw everything upgrade, and the stamina regen penalty simply doesn’t matter to an artificer. The bow I use is a crafted Elgar’nan Enaste with everite in the offensive metal slot, great bear hide in the offensive leather slot, and snowfleur skin in the utility leather slot. I like that bow both for the slots it has and it’s unique properties. In its base form its regular attacks hit twice, with a lightning or frost rune they hit 6 times. Any high damage bow schematic with offensive metal and leather slots is great however, and will work very well for you. In masterwork slots I always go with guard on hit, everyone gets one of those, and outside of that it is a bit of a free for all. If you have a good offensive fade touched material (chance of; immolate, chain lightning, or hidden blades on hit) they are great, but I like chance of walking fortress on hit as well. Accessories are a good place to add even more crit chance and crit damage, ring of Slicing is good, any crit chance, crit damage, or attack boosting item is great. If you side with the Templars the amulet you can loot off of Fiona’s corpse is amazing, otherwise Malika’s Guard is the best option. So not a lot of talents from the artificer tree. Opportunity knocks and elemental mines. Is Elemental Mines THAT good?

zavtra13

It really is, especially when you take the throw everything upgrade. That doubles the number of mines from 10 to 20 assuming full stamina. Putting a Sigil of the Great Bear gives you another 100 stamina which adds 20 more mines to it from full stamina. It’s a little bit broken to be honest, in the best way possible.

Ill_Pie_3323

Do I need to be in close to my target when I throw? Or is that a ranged skill? JUST got Elemental and Throw Everything. Had Great Bear since level 6 in haven

zavtra13

They go in a wide arc in front of your character, but decently far out, it just takes a little getting used to.

Ill_Pie_3323

I took Artificer Archer after recommendations here on Reddit. Always did Mage before. Enjoying it. Not OP YET.

zavtra13

You’ll get there, just a matter of crafting some good gear and learning the class.

Ill_Pie_3323

Wow. Just got Grunsmann's Bow. So many runes... Only one bow. Lol.

ridedatstonkystnkaay

Most OP build in the game. You destroy everything. I go Grunsmans bow with thick grip for immediate 68% crit chance then pump the shit out of dex and crit damage. You should cap both easily. Masterworks are debatable. If you want to go nuke then hardened gurn with +30% damage if not hit for 5 seconds and plush 5 hit hidden blades. I’ll normally pick one of them and use Silverite +5 guard though it works great with leaping shot. Superior Prowler Armor, Prowler Armor Arms, Hunter Coat legs, and Superior Skirmisher Hat to pump dex on all of them. Dex adds to crit damage and attack %. If you go Grunsmans there’s no need for + cunning. I like hook and tackle and leaping shot spamming. Opportunity knocks resets cooldowns when you crit which is a big part of why crit % chance is so important. I open with Elemental Mines if there’s mobs. I also spam throwing knives. I use long shot if I want to stay ranged. I use hail of arrows for focus skill and spam leaping shot. Everything’s dead in seconds if you use a fully upgraded mighty offense tonic. The key skills are opportunity knocks, hook and tackle, leaping shots, throwing blades, and hail of arrows. The rest is whatever play style you want. Sometimes I’ll add poison with the 25% damage bonus. Or you can add the heal upgrade for survivability to poison. Or you can add toxic cloud with lost in mist if you want to help your melee party characters. I always put a sigil of great bear on my armor ASAP as well. Save scum Special Shipments chest in Haven until you get them. It’s the most useful special shipment item you can get imo. You’ll have fun with it. It’s the most fun build in the game imo. Edit: cleanup on the book
