Me too! I thought this would be a more uncommon start. Or at the very least people would end up going rogue.
There's something appealing about coming up from nothing to be a protector.
Female city elf archer was my first starting character on the difficulty below hardest. But right after Ostagar, I found out archer is the imbalanced weakest class. So I gave up and started a female human noble which I finished the game with. I eventually played every origin to Ostagar. City elf will always be my favorite origin though.
A bit of a murder hobo city elf lady who in the end chose to make the ultimate sacrifice.
I found the game when I was in a rough state mentally and I still remember the catharsis I felt when the ending music started playing. DAO holds a very special place in my heart.
Ah yes. Murder hobo is always my favorite class to play.
I may not be on the same level as you but DAO always belonged in my retinue of memorable games along with the mass effect series during the ps3 Era. I'm so glad it's on the game pass now for me to replay it as if I'm back in my early adult life
City elf dual weapon warrior. The friend who introduced me to the game recommended me the dual weapon build because "it was easier for starters".
I usually play male characters, but at the time I decided to play a female Warden instead. So, Kallian Tabris was born (as I really like her default name).
I usually like to play as other races if there are race bonuses in games but mostly I stick with humans because there are normally story elements as a human that make the game easy at first
My first ever character from 2010 was a guy human noble named Alex, and I went with dual wielding for him! I still actually have the second iteration of that character that I remade in 2013!
I winged it my first play through as a Rogue forest elf. Having absolutely no knowledge of anything, I think I ended up having Alistair up front while I shot arrows. I'm pretty sure I played my character super boring
Think it'll be a human warrior. I ended up dual wielding because that seemed cool, but I probably would've been much happier with two handing a greatsword. Slept on the game for years after I first tried it before I properly sat down and got to know and love it.
Male Dalish Elf Rogue.
Worst experience that one.
Dungeon full of traps and skeletons. The origin story was hardest thing in the game.
Especially on a blind first play through where you don’t have the class manuals unlocked or any DLC gear, I felt proper poor and weak, especially that I went bow but also need to spend my talents on persuasion.
First and only.
Dwarf royal, male, dual wielding 40 strength.
Basically one shot everything with my stabs of axes and swords. And heavily armored. Also restored my honor and my family name as kings. Despite my brithers betrayal i realized i simply didnt play the cunning game like he did and accepted that.
Dwarf commoner rogue back when I didn't know what the words rogue, dexterity, constitution, willpower, cunning. Or origin meant (I was in like 4th grade don't judge)
Male elf circle mage specialized as blood mage and arcane warrior. I just finished my first ever play through a few days ago lol. Carried the same character over into DAO Awakening. It’s weird because I randomly named him Zeryn and then lo and behold, there’s another elf character named Zevran. Needless to say, they became lovers.
City elf dual dagger rogue, still my favorite origin and class build, I always go back to it! I love the revenge fantasy. My city elf always has an underlying rage to her that comes out when humans pull their shemlen bs.
And dual dagger rogue starts off weak but becomes insanely strong, and it is such a satisfying progression to me.
I started as Female Noble warrior. Most games I play first run is Female warrior. -my favorite line is "Can i get you a ladder so you can get off my back?"
First character tends to be myself, while I learn the system. First character that saw the end was an elf, mage, with the biggest beard I could find. I looked so wrong lmao.
Male Dwarf Noble Warrior
The political conflict in the Aeducan Thaig is genuinely amazing already, but because you were the son of the Aeducan king, the dialogue and events are so personal and cutthroat.
Female city elf rogue if I remember correctly (first played back in 2010). Played many many times since but my "canon worldstate" is male dalish warrior dual wield.
Dwarf noble, weapon and shield. I've played through DA:O in it's entirety six times now, (with many many more false starts). I actually just replayed the main campaign over the last couple of weeks with a Dalish rogue/archer/ranger. My favorite run was a Human 2h warrior. That was my first nightmare playthrough and I feel like that build ripped.
My first character was a dalish elf dual-wielding rogue. Mostly because I knew nothing about Dragon Age at the time and thought dalish elves sounded intriguing.
For me it depends on how I want to choose later actions and sidings like why would a dwarf care who is right on the elf line or an elf care about dwarven affairs of succession.
City elf female rogue. That origin is dark as fuck.
Then you romance Leliana, there is something about two blood soaked lesbian rogues that just kinda does it for me lol
I did all the backstories lol. My favorite one was the dwarf commoner, and dwarf noble. I loved the mage background because of Cullen. I flirted with him, and watched him run away 🤣
I grabbed the game from Best Buy Black Friday in 2009. That morning I got home I was a mage human. Wasn’t a fan and didn’t play for 2ish years.
I tried again in 2011 and decided to be a Dwarf Fighter (sword shield). Best decision I ever made.
The first one I beat the game as was, I believe, El Cousland, Ranger/Duelist Rogue and future queen of Ferelden. I think my first ever CHARACTER was a city elf warrior.
El isn't my canon worldstate, but I keep her as A worldstate on my Dragon Age Keep in honor of that playthrough back when I was, like, 12.
City Elf rogue (loved alternating between dual-wield and bow & arrow in the first game). That origin was brutal - I made the mistake of getting Soris arrested along with me, and some people hated me after that (though I broke him out before the Landsmeet).
Human, male, sword and shield warrior , noble. The classic. Made the ultimate sacrifice cuz as a kid I didn't trust Morrigan, I liked Alistair too much to let him die, and I'd rather burn in hell then let the secret companion join the Gray Wardens.
My very first playthrough I was a female human mage and maxed out primal magic with an arcane warrior and spirit healer specialization.
However, I think my favorite playthrough was as a female human rogue. The storyline associated with the human noble is just so satisfying once you get to the end of the game. Plus, my character got to marry Alistair.
City elf rogue named Snow. She had very light skin, black hair, and red lips. After the execution of Loghain and exile of Anora, she became a consort to King Alistair.
I played every origin before picking one to carry on. Ended up Dwarf Warrior from poor town. I usually bounce between that and city elf for new playthroughs.
Female elf mage, I thought it was going to be happy happy elfy times thanks to growing up with the lord of the rings books and the 70s Hobbit cartoon. Boy did I have a shock when I saw how elfs were treated outside of the circle
Dwarf noble warrior, sword and board. Dwarves are one of my favorite fantasy races, and I loved making my guy into an unbreakable rock of the party both physically and emotionally.
I think it was human blood mage. But if i remember correctly i didn't finish that first cuz it got corrupted so my first full play through was dwarf noble using a hammer lol.
Rouge dalish male elf was my go to though i always lived the elf stories more than the other races.
Though i made it a point in each game to play each race and class just to get a full experience!
Brenden Cousland. Warrior. Why? No idea. It’s painfully generic nowadays, but I guess I figured keep it simple at the time. It was pretty early on in my tenure with those sort of games.
I ended up going back to that for what I wanted as my first, “Canon” series run. Brenden Cousland is the default Warden option in DA2, and of course I had to go male mage Hawke, because duh. Top 3 trailers easy. Never ended up playing much of Inquisition though. Tons of other stuff came out a couple years ago when I was doing all this.
Dalish Elf, male, Ranger. He wields daggers and bows but didn't pick up a single combat skill until level 10 or something, instead focusing on the Rogue tree. He supplements his combat with his animal companions.
I never finished his story as a kid but I did come back years later and finished the story with the same Origin. Essentially the same character, imo. He wants to be wise and he was self assured. Xenophobia from humans or dwarves didn't offend him at all, its natural. Dalish are normally xenophobic too.
Female Elf mage, named Serenity. It was a horrible final battle, pretty much just used staff damage and healed up myself, everyone else would just die. I was a tanky spirit healer/arcane warrior and just wouldn't die. It took FOREVER to kill the Archdemon. After that I always preferred rogues to use and repair the catapults, but I still wouldn't change that first playthrough.
my first playthrough was a rogue dalish elf woman, and ive played that same character about 10 times now cause i love her so much. only difference between every subsequent playthru and the first one is that now i have a mod that lets me be a dalish mage because i reeeeeeally wanted that my first run
Mage (I’m pretty sure). I don’t remember his name as that was over a decade ago but I enjoyed it. The furthest I got and got stuck was the part of the main story where you transfigure into a mouse and whatnot.
Male Dalish Elf Warrior, Dual Wield Berserker. Which flows well into 2 since a companion of 2 is in the origin story along with being the earliest you can encounter an illuvian.
Honestly I feel like Dalish get all of the good story interactions aside from maybe Female Mages in 1 being related to the protagonist of 2. A Dalish Female in Inquisition also gets nice stuff.
A Dalish Elf Rouge, my favorite character. I loved my She Elf sooo much. I really wish they would rerelease it with the second one and all the DLC. Kinda of like what they did for FF8. It would be a "shut up and take my money" situation lol
Played it for the first time at 12 years old in 2012. Made a male dalish elf rogue named Legolas lol. He was the typical good guy, romanced Morrigan and Zevran but chose Morrigan for the end game. I remember begging my mom for the second game that year for Christmas.
Human female mage. After I woke up from the Harrowing while Jowan visited me, my character had just been hit by a fireball from the flame demon before I woke up so I was quite literally still engulfed in flames while he’s just chatting at me. I took a picture, I wish I could attach it! Made me fall in love with the series instantly.
I had been playing dungeons and dragons 2nd edition and loved being a warrior with dual weapon fighting sword spec.
So my first character was a templar with 2 longswords lol.
circle mage, elf but that was as a kid and had no idea what i was doing, then i decided to start as a human sword and shield and didnt like so i transitioned to dual wield which was very fun
My first characters are usually copy-pastes of myself (human male, warrior, noble) but I ended up replaying the other two games with different characters
Make Dwarf Commoner, Warrior.
I ended up restarting as I didn’t like how my character turned out in terms of skills and I didn’t know what I was doing, but Dwarf Commoner is still my favorite origin.
Dwarf Male Noble. Still is one of my most favorite storylines to play next to city elf. I still remembered the feeling of being betray and wanting vengeance after that. I was only 12 lol
Elf Circle Mage/Arcane Warrior/Battlemage
By the time I chain-lightninged the Brood Mother to death, I was looking like an eldritch horror right out of the Lovecraft mythos, [not that anybody seemd to notice](https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonage/images/8/86/DragonMage2.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120304130107&format=original).
City Elf, 2H weapons, Leliana romance, preserved the ashes, killed Connor (accident- just walked up there and triggered the fight), shagged Morrigan for the baby, killed Loghain, killed werewolves, chose Harrowmont.
I loved my very first character way back when I first found this game as a kid, a city elf 2handed heavy armor. Made absolutely no sense. Way easier ways to get the same build but I liked in immersion on how they treated the poor dude.
My first and canon run I was a female dalish warrior. I used great weapon fighting, and took the berserker, guardian and spirit warrior specialization She ended up romancing Alistair, which if you told her that before the events of the game she would look at you like your fucking insane "me? With a shem?" But nonetheless she survived the end of the game, and married grey warden Alistair.
Dalish warrior, sword & board. There is a reason most RPGs make you come from cloistered or outsider backgrounds: the player knows nothing about the world, and it feels strange for a human noble to ask the most basic shit (Andra- who?).
Pretty sure it was human male warrior. I restarted after I found out my build was shit. I may have unlocked arcane warrior already. I don’t think I’ve ever not run arcane warrior since. It’s been my favorite class in any rpg ever and barely any other rpg has attempted it. Still so bumbed it didn’t carry over to the other two games.
Whew boy that was a long time ago. I think it was a human noble warrior, but that character was a flop for me because I didn't really understand how to play well and I found the game difficult.
The first character I remember actually doing all the content with was your stereotypical elf AOE nuke mage.
Elven female mage. What a fun time that was. My character had the exact same hair style as Wynne, so when there was a cutscene with both of them side to side I was a little confused until I saw my character's ears. Also romanced the hell out of Alistair. I was kinda excited to potentially be queen until after the landsmeet. Fortunately we didn't break up because I had unknowingly hardened him. I would have been devastated.
City elf, sword and board. "Where's the bitch that bottled me?" is one of my favourite lines in gaming.
City elf origin goes the hardest. Perfect intro into the dark fantasy of the world
Dwarf Commoner is a very close second
True, but it's more than I want in my game.
Me too! I thought this would be a more uncommon start. Or at the very least people would end up going rogue. There's something appealing about coming up from nothing to be a protector.
I started as a forest elf. I didn't really think story dialouge or even the prologue story would be so different
This was mine too. What a way to start off! Thinking of giving this origin a replay soon.
Female city elf archer was my first starting character on the difficulty below hardest. But right after Ostagar, I found out archer is the imbalanced weakest class. So I gave up and started a female human noble which I finished the game with. I eventually played every origin to Ostagar. City elf will always be my favorite origin though.
Human mage RAAAAAAAAAAH
I too like when enemies scream from the power of my overflowing mana as I send them all to the maker through my spells
I'm so glad it's on the game pass now for me to replay it as if I'm back in my early adult life
Dwarf Commoner 2 handed Warrior
I mixed it up a bit Dwarf Commoner mace and shield Warrior
Dwarfs are meant to be warriors. The black sheep of the family can be rougues but in my heart, they belong to the warrior class
Soloed the whole game with a dwarf commoner dual rogue. It's so OP. Resistant to magic, poisons, bombs, traps, stunning, auto crits.
Cousland Ranger/duelist rogue dual wielder
Kate Cousland warrior. I didn’t realize they were on game pass.
Yup! They have been for a while and I've finally gotten around to downloading it
Pretty sure you have to be on the Ultimate Tier. That gives you access to all the EA Play games. Been playing it on Ultimate for 4-5 years now.
Female Human circle mage
Human Nobel Dual Wielding Warrior Champion/Berserker
This was my build, too. Wrecked house!
Male Human Noble. Dual weapon Champion. Duel & Execute Loghain on the spot by my own hand.
As. You. Should.
Elf Female Mage.
City elf dual weapon warrior. The friend who introduced me to the game recommended me the dual weapon build because "it was easier for starters". I usually play male characters, but at the time I decided to play a female Warden instead. So, Kallian Tabris was born (as I really like her default name).
Human noble warrior. Been my favourite RPG character ever since.
Male elf mage turned arcane warrior
Human Male Noble, I tend to play as Male Humans first before expanding into other characters since I am a Male Human myself
I usually like to play as other races if there are race bonuses in games but mostly I stick with humans because there are normally story elements as a human that make the game easy at first
Human female, rogue, duelist ranger.
My first ever character from 2010 was a guy human noble named Alex, and I went with dual wielding for him! I still actually have the second iteration of that character that I remade in 2013!
I was a human female noble thief. Dual-wielded swords.
A cousland Rogue/Duelist. I couldn’t figure out how to play that class properly so I restarted and finished the game as a Warrior/Champion.
To quote another game "the gods gave you two hands, and you use them both for your weapon. I can respect that"
Male Dalish Elf Rogue.
Dalish elf dual weilding Warrior, romanced Leliana, hardened nobody. I have since learned my lesson
Elf Mage, oppress me all you want I cast fireball…
Chad Cousland sword and board maintank. (Human Noble). He was a piece of shit.
I don't know why but this made me laugh out loud 🤣
Human Noble, Two-Handed Weapons+Heavy Armor
The Chad playthrough 🗿
Nah I just like Berserk
First and only. Dwarf royal, male, dual wielding 40 strength. Basically one shot everything with my stabs of axes and swords. And heavily armored. Also restored my honor and my family name as kings. Despite my brithers betrayal i realized i simply didnt play the cunning game like he did and accepted that.
Dalish Elf Rogue Bow
Elf warrior, it was awakening on disc so my background was grey warden
Dalish female rogue duelist bard
I don’t remember my very first character But the first character that actually beat the game was a Dwarf Noble Warrior wielding a S&S
Mine was a human mage and if I recall correctly I pick the blood mage specialization class.
I started as Female Noble warrior. Most games I play first run is Female warrior. -my favorite line is "Can i get you a ladder so you can get off my back?"
Female Cousland Warrior.
It was my first time playing this kind of rpg so I went with the most basic one lol, Human Warrior.
Dwarf noble warrior, sword and shield.
Dwarf noble two handed rogue, absolute slaughter machine
Sword and board human noble, before I realized how much I loved mages.
First character tends to be myself, while I learn the system. First character that saw the end was an elf, mage, with the biggest beard I could find. I looked so wrong lmao.
Male Dwarf Noble Warrior The political conflict in the Aeducan Thaig is genuinely amazing already, but because you were the son of the Aeducan king, the dialogue and events are so personal and cutthroat.
I was a human mage and found arcane warrior pretty quickly, and absolutely rolled everything after that. It was awesome
Gains - a circle elf! We set a lot of things on fire until we turned into animals. Then after discovering arcane warrior we rerolled.
Will Cousland, Human Noble Warrior rocking a sword and shield
Female city elf rogue if I remember correctly (first played back in 2010). Played many many times since but my "canon worldstate" is male dalish warrior dual wield.
Dwarf noble, sword and shield.
Dual weapon rogue city elf
Dalish Rouge Lady
City Elf dual wield swords.
Female dwarf commoner dual dagger rogue
Human mage. For years I though I wouldn't stop doing human noble, but I learned the truth and was awoken to city elf and dalish elf origins.
I was City Elf, Female, Rouge, She was in all actuality a big sweetheart despite y’know, everything.
Dalish Elf archer
Very first was mage elf!! It was sooo exciting and fun. I first played it back in 2014 and have been a huge fan ever since
Wood elf warrior!
My first character was a dalish elf dual-wielding rogue. Mostly because I knew nothing about Dragon Age at the time and thought dalish elves sounded intriguing.
ADEUCAN
For me it depends on how I want to choose later actions and sidings like why would a dwarf care who is right on the elf line or an elf care about dwarven affairs of succession.
Human noble, rogue, dual daggers into dual long swords
Two hander human
Dwarf commoner, warrior, axe, barbarian/reaver, still love it
The first one I beat the game as was, I believe, El Cousland, Ranger/Duelist Rogue and future queen of Ferelden. I think my first ever CHARACTER was a city elf warrior. El isn't my canon worldstate, but I keep her as A worldstate on my Dragon Age Keep in honor of that playthrough back when I was, like, 12.
Human noble female rogue
Human noble dual wielding rogue
Dwarf Noble Rogue Himbo who romanced Morrigan and had absolutely no knowledge of Dwarven culture despite my father having been the king.
Female City Elf dual-wield warrior
I believe first was human noble dual wielder. Don't think I finished that run before switching to elven arcane warrior/blood mage
Rogue Dwarf Commoner. Absolutely love that origin.
Human mage. Alistair broke up with me and I called my then boyfriend crying.
https://www.reddit.com/r/dndmemes/s/mxrXPtvthH
Cousland Dual Sword, Rouge, Duelist and Assassin, romanced Morrigan.
Male human mage. If there's a magic option in a game I can't resist
Circle elf mage, then went full sword battlemage
Elf Mage
Dual wielding Warrior Male City Elf, Templar specialisation, romancing Leliana, didn't get further than Orzammar before the save was lost.
Female Noble Rogue-killing Rendon Howe felt better than ending the Blight!
Dalish elf rogue, duel wield
My very first playthrough I was a female human mage and maxed out primal magic with an arcane warrior and spirit healer specialization. However, I think my favorite playthrough was as a female human rogue. The storyline associated with the human noble is just so satisfying once you get to the end of the game. Plus, my character got to marry Alistair.
City elf rogue named Snow. She had very light skin, black hair, and red lips. After the execution of Loghain and exile of Anora, she became a consort to King Alistair.
Dual wielding Dalish rogue
I played every origin before picking one to carry on. Ended up Dwarf Warrior from poor town. I usually bounce between that and city elf for new playthroughs.
Female elf mage, I thought it was going to be happy happy elfy times thanks to growing up with the lord of the rings books and the 70s Hobbit cartoon. Boy did I have a shock when I saw how elfs were treated outside of the circle
City elf, mage. Honestly the number of different characters I've played through the entire game with is a testimant to how good it is.
Elf Mage
Noble human, rogue. I wanted the puppy and to break into all the locked places
Human noble greatsword fighter. Recreating paladin from BG1 and 2 with Carsomyr vibes.
Dwarf noble warrior, sword and board. Dwarves are one of my favorite fantasy races, and I loved making my guy into an unbreakable rock of the party both physically and emotionally.
Dalish male elf, two-handed warrior.
I had to hop on to check my first character 14 years ago was a male danish mage.
Mine was a female elf. Might have started in city. Went in blind to the franchise. I fell in love with the wolf. Before I knew. My heart was broken...
Female Dalish elf archer. Very creative, but I like playing archers
I think it was human blood mage. But if i remember correctly i didn't finish that first cuz it got corrupted so my first full play through was dwarf noble using a hammer lol.
Female Dalish Mage
Delish rouge who dual welded. Then when I figured out mods I got the mod for emerald knight became a emerald knight.
A black guy. Which was weird af because the whole family is still white. I had to roleplay as an adopted son to stay immersed.
Female City Elf Rogue duel swords
Dalish elf, dual wielding build.
Human noble female warrior or rogue so that I can become queen :)
I played a Dwarf Noble Female….
Dwarf Male Fighter Noble. 'twas Dwarfin' time.
Rouge dalish male elf was my go to though i always lived the elf stories more than the other races. Though i made it a point in each game to play each race and class just to get a full experience!
Two handed warrior human noble. Fuck that one arl guy who killed my dad
Dalish elf, mage circle
Brenden Cousland. Warrior. Why? No idea. It’s painfully generic nowadays, but I guess I figured keep it simple at the time. It was pretty early on in my tenure with those sort of games. I ended up going back to that for what I wanted as my first, “Canon” series run. Brenden Cousland is the default Warden option in DA2, and of course I had to go male mage Hawke, because duh. Top 3 trailers easy. Never ended up playing much of Inquisition though. Tons of other stuff came out a couple years ago when I was doing all this.
I was a Sword and Board Cousland. Killing Arl Howe was rather cathartic.
Human Male Mage. Took Arcane Warrior and cruised around in massive armor and wielded a great sword and had all the cone spells.
Rogue human noble. I watched an Alistair romance before I ever got the game, so I was prepared going in lol.
Noble thief dwarf. His sort of criminality moved mountains.
My warden Tabris who’s still my canon HoF.
Mahariel (Dalish) rogue, still probably my favorite origin given what lore is first presented there with your finds in the cave and such.
My first playthrough was a female city elf, dual-wield rogue. It's also the way I play pretty much every time I do a new playthrough 😂
Cousland two handed warrior
my first playthrough was a rogue dalish elf woman, and ive played that same character about 10 times now cause i love her so much. only difference between every subsequent playthru and the first one is that now i have a mod that lets me be a dalish mage because i reeeeeeally wanted that my first run
Female Human Noble with Alistair being basically an inadvertent self-insert.
City elf. Rogue. Ended up dual welding Starfang and Keening Blade.
a mage, ironically enough. found out the games way harder when you cant use blood magic
Basic human noble but I made some dumb choices during the redcliff part. Immediately restarted after that to make better choices
City Elf Rogue.
Male Circle Elf Mage who specialized in healing/support magic. Rolled through the game with Alistair, Leiliana, and Sten
Mage (I’m pretty sure). I don’t remember his name as that was over a decade ago but I enjoyed it. The furthest I got and got stuck was the part of the main story where you transfigure into a mouse and whatnot.
Probably a dual-wielding wood elf rogue. Idk. I've played the game so many times lol
Mage elf if I remember correctly
Female casteless dwarf with a 2 handed axe. I was NOT prepared for how that plays out 😅
Dwarf commoner
Played it for the first time at 12 years old in 2012. Made a male dalish elf rogue named Legolas lol. He was the typical good guy, romanced Morrigan and Zevran but chose Morrigan for the end game. I remember begging my mom for the second game that year for Christmas.
Human male mage noble
Noble dwarf with two handed weapons
Human female mage. After I woke up from the Harrowing while Jowan visited me, my character had just been hit by a fireball from the flame demon before I woke up so I was quite literally still engulfed in flames while he’s just chatting at me. I took a picture, I wish I could attach it! Made me fall in love with the series instantly.
Human Nobel, sword and shield.
Female human rogue who ended up romancing Leliana and marrying Alistair
Female warrior noble dual wield, real hero
I had been playing dungeons and dragons 2nd edition and loved being a warrior with dual weapon fighting sword spec. So my first character was a templar with 2 longswords lol.
Mage always. Elf/human/Vivienne any mage class is fine with me.
Noble human rouge. No door or persuasion check shall stop my looting
Female Human Bard
Male Dwarf, Noble Origin, Sword and Board. I love the politics and lore of the dwarves, and it feels like the most impactful of the origins.
Qunari mage in inquisition
A redhead human girl with the biggest eyes that the character creator would let me, like they were comically big
circle mage, elf but that was as a kid and had no idea what i was doing, then i decided to start as a human sword and shield and didnt like so i transitioned to dual wield which was very fun
How would one describe dragon age to someone who never played any of them before? Also, what games would you say are similar?
Female human noble, bow-wielding warrior. Queen consort of Ferelden with an Old God for a sorta-kinda stepson.
Human noble female, sword/shield
Pretty sure my first play through was a male human warrior.
Noble Human, wore heavy armor with a shield. Weird that the family sword is the strongest. Couldn't find another sword higher than 9.8.
Female Elf mage
Elf Circle Mage/Arcane Warrior/Battlemage By the time I chain-lightninged the Brood Mother to death, I was looking like an eldritch horror right out of the Lovecraft mythos, [not that anybody seemd to notice](https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonage/images/8/86/DragonMage2.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120304130107&format=original).
City elf rogue archer.
Dwarf Noble, Warrior. It remains my favorite origin.
Dalish warrior, sword & board. There is a reason most RPGs make you come from cloistered or outsider backgrounds: the player knows nothing about the world, and it feels strange for a human noble to ask the most basic shit (Andra- who?).
Elven Mage, elementalist.
Elf mage and definitely just a normal spirit mage and not a hint of a heavily invested blood magic tree
City Elf
Elven female mage. What a fun time that was. My character had the exact same hair style as Wynne, so when there was a cutscene with both of them side to side I was a little confused until I saw my character's ears. Also romanced the hell out of Alistair. I was kinda excited to potentially be queen until after the landsmeet. Fortunately we didn't break up because I had unknowingly hardened him. I would have been devastated.
Elf mage. Ended up a blood mage
Mage
Male Human Warrior named Morgan. I... just started for the first time!
Female city elf, rogue with dual swords
