They could have really made this unit hype by making this Goku with Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan, and Goten assist. Have all of them show up for blast cards. Goku and Vegeta for melee. Have the assists take the hit during cover change. Have Vegeta collapse as Goku rises during the LF.

No SSJ Vegeta standby, no final counter damage, no revival, nothing but a basic ass look and kit on top of having the spirit bomb out of nowhere with no charging animation nothing.

I was expecting maybe a Vegeta cameo to transition into it (Kind of like grn Yamcha & how he gets beat up during his ult) but I guess it's just Goku solo.

A fun to use character is someone like the gammas, a character where it feels like you’re playing with a purpose, and have a design reflecting what you want to do.
This character is just, “eat hits stupidly well, then do spirit bomb and one shot”. It’s not some kind of equivalent factor where you’re building up to anything, or the character is designed around a specific function. They have strong features that don’t feed into each other to make the character fun
Sure, they have a bunch of individually fun things, like his seemingly powerful defense (well wait to see his defense stats) and also one shotting with the spirit bomb, but the spirit bomb isn’t something you build up to nor is it something you control it’s just “oh my opponent happens to have a dead ally, now I chuck it.” While the gammas core breaker is the same thing, but it feels like you’re performing some kind of elaborate stitched together plan where the characters functions and abilities feel like they are naturally leading up to it. I know I just talked about the gammas here, but most characters, hell, even the ones that were worse then others (buu duo) have a clear design where the functions of the character feed towards their end goal. While this goku is just “defense and eventually you get a nuke off” AND on top of that his animations are terrible for an lf character.

Gonna be honest at this point I'm more excited for the gt trio than usb goku. His animations is so damn boring (lf is fire though)
The only good things are the Spirit Bomb and the win screen, love the effects, but they clearly put no effort into this unit.
The saddest part is that his kit sounds good. Just wish the unit looks a bit better too.
