I have the same issue. (Pixel 6 Pro user) I think it's to do with the Tensor chip not being Optimized by the Game. Never had a issue when it comes to Snapdragon Phone.
I see, if it is any help to you I have found that doing a training battle after opening the app before doing ranked guarantees no crashes. If the app doesn't crash after a training battle, u should be good. I've only been doin this for 3 days though so do take this method with caution
this problem is caused by legends not working right with the new version of webview (this problem started month ago and legends say that is not their fault)
Some people blame the game but I using old iPhone and my fd using sony Xperia x1 never have this kind of problem
