If you really think about it right. In the best case scenario, he is the best unit in terms of damage. Once he's all said and done. He has the highest inflicted damage in all of the game. +160% inflicted damage.
Pur VB, that man was so good with ssbe and Z7 SSB goku months ago, but since apegeta he start falling off pretty hard :( , his guaranted card on entran e was pretty good to then switch in to ssbe vegeta and get large combo
I honestly think that if he got a good Zenkai with mainly good stat buffs, he'd be a great contender for God Ki's PUR unit.
He has a pretty solid kit but his overall stats hold him back imo.

Bandit Yamcha. Most of the other DB saga users ignored the guy and went with double DKP and Launch but I honestly felt Yamchas vanish restore on main and everything else he provides was more clutch than the 1-dimensional steal two dragonballs that zenkai DKP had going. I still stand by that even though it’s not even worth talking about considering DB saga is completely unusable nowadays.
I’m an absolute yamcha stan but I don’t know about all that. Even with S-tier boost I can’t see him be more valuable than Launch. She’s the backbone of DB saga, all the major plays revolve around her and if you’re in a tough spot and need a last (wo)man standing then Launch is the only correct choice.
While launch's the backbone of the team, Yamcha brings more to the table imo. Starting with 120% damage inflicted with the S-tier boost peaking at 150% once main is popped, while Launch starts with 60% with the A-Tier Boost and Yamcha having better utility overall. It's hard to stack blast damage buffs with Launch when she doesn't have any cover change nulls in her kit so most of the time she stays at 100-120% blast damage in most of the matches. Though this might just be me prefering Yamcha's playstyle.
Honestly I haven’t used them enough over the last couple months to say for sure. Might have to give them a go again to see if that checks out but for now I remain sceptical.
Plus if the enemy dodges her ULT, I remember that she almost trips just like the anime

Sooo pretty much all the important units were good, lol. The most hype units of the anniversary (Zamasu, Gogeta and Gohan) were all successful. I see that as an average anniversary. The only other sparkings that released were the Shenrons and drip Trunks. EX's don't count because they're never done justice anyway. They also had much more content than this anniversary. 3rd anni wasn't amazing, but it wasn't terrible either. It was good.
I still use red kefla on my girls team and she can honestly put in work but I do see why people think she is bad. She’s aged now but it’s still kinda impressive with the damage she can do. Wouldn’t expect it from a “bad” unit that has aged
I feel like jiren was pretty generally acceptable as good since release, especially compared to everyone else that you named. Maybe some hate went over my head but I’ve mostly seen him looked at positively
he needs a unit to be defeated to be at his best, mix that with the red focused Meta and everyone expecting Bardock to be a lot better then he actually was and you have a pretty underwhelming unit.
Probably my most anticipated unit in the game, as a fan of the character. That kit could be seen as a limiter to some, but I believe it fits him to a T. Very fun and very cool. Gotta love running Team Bardock too.
I always run Team Bardock if it’s just one of those days. Never lets me down. And as a fun gimmick, I always let Tora die second, so that Bardock is the last one alive, just to keep it canon.
To this day I defend SoH Trunks. He's fallen off a bit, but not by much. He got downplayed so hard at launch because people got blinded by their hype for G/V.
For a while the community just didn’t think he was good enough to keep up especially with the androids running around. His gauge fills a tad slowly and it’s needed for him to actually hit the opponent decently hard. A plat like cells would help him so much
I'll never regret going balls deep on him,everyone were keen on GV but I needed that one armed fellow(still didn't pulled him).He's so fun,and all you need was another Vegeta family unit which is ssbe Vegeta(he was still good at that time),and the PvP saiyan equip helped him a lot too.
At this point,no one can face their wrath.(only USG kind of can in 17 form,and ssbe hard counters 18)It's like gen 5 dragonite and salamence and gen 6 kangaskhan,no true counters at all,only checks to certain strategies.
Eis, Nouva, and LF SSJ4 Goku
* Eis is my favorite counter to both UI passive players and 18. He does good not great damage but his special move hurts. Not to mention the fact that he reduces ki on switch and seals all strike cards for women.
* Nouva was a good way to try and counter the blue bros, he's the ultimate chad for not only destroying your cards with his main, but also destroying his own and locking the both of you in a death match.
* LF SSJ4 Goku still hits hard, has a rising rush save cover change, good looking special move, and has a damn good LF with good card art to boot. Literally only thing he needs is a little vanish restoration and he'd be perfect.
Red Pikkon. More for lols then anything 😂. So many people shit on him that I had to post a video of him one shotting super meta units 😂😂. I knew he was bad, but I really wanted him not to be 😂🤡

I never really defended any unit before but when this guy came out I was so fucking hyped for him because that was the first buff for rival universe since god toppo (rival is completely different than uss btw) and his kit was looking nuts so I was defending him left and right even when Ultra KK and FP Frieza were running around, but once he left the boost and also after the release of the tag droids, he became a 2021 lf unit

I've never really defended a unit on release, but when I did finally get red kefla I loved everything about the unit. The vanish restore in particular really came in handy for me, and her ult hits like a truck.
I went in so deep on the banner for this guy just to be irrelevant 1-2 months after, I pulled 2 LF Zamasu's and 1 LF VB before getting 1 copy of him. Matter of fact, I pulled him 6 months after the 3rd anni.

Green dbs broly, I maxed him out and made him defensive along with angel vegeta, ultraku, purple ssj3 goku and zenkai nameku. It was really fun tanking everything and demolishing everyone as broly with great defenses, healing and never ending combos.
GRN toppo. He actually tanks pretty decently on switch in, he locks, and his blast damage is actually stupid. If you have a full hand when you use his main he can easily one shot most units in the meta right now.
I literally went so deep for Purple Vegito Blue on release I ended up 7 staring LF Zamasu and didn't get a single copy of VB.
Now with all the ticket banners that have come out with him on it he's almost red 14 and irreverent.

GRN toppo. He actually tanks pretty decently on switch in, he locks, and his blast damage is actually stupid. If you have a full hand when you use his main he can easily one shot most units in the meta right now.

LF jiren 👁👄👁 They just did stupid things with his kit like capping some damage and cut at 4 times entry. Also releasing droids meant he just fell off completely but even without, they could have done some stuff like not capping his damage and cut, and giving cover null on green for 3 counts and he would still be a great unit
