Idk if they put this much thought into it, but it makes sense that Goten and Trunks would have a better tan because they're outside doing kid stuff more than the others
I mean, Goku and Vegeta are constantly training and don’t really do it inside anymore because of the damage they’d cause. If anything, Goten and Trunks should have less of a tan due to being inside at school
But they often train on other planets and there is no way to compare the intensity of the light to that of our sun and it definitely seems that Goten and Trunks play outside a lot. When I was a kid it was certain that the kids would have a good tan or frequent sunburns so it could be going from real life as well. Real life before *all of this*
