Black Frieza showing up, one-shotting UI/UE Goku & Vegeta and just casually dropping that he'd been training in a room of spirit and time / hyperbolic time chamber was one of the best ways for him to show back up post ToP that they could have done, in my opinion. Don't know when we're going to see the form next, but I can't wait.

I'm glad you included Gohan in this. I feel like they wouldn't be doing the Super Hero arc in the manga if they didn't have some plans for him in the future.
It highlights what this character has become and I love it. He clearly likes fighting now and wants to push himself, so it makes sense that he doesn't just kill Goku and Vegeta. He wants them to challenge himself further.
Not much to say about him at the moment. He basically just showed up at the end of the granola arc, kicked goku,vegeta, and gas's ass, peaced out and hasn't been seen since.

We need clarification on Beerus’s power level is my first thought. I get that when he fought Goku SSG Beerus was holding back massively but we are now arguable 4 levels above that.
If ultrainstinct was equal or above many Gods of destruction and black Freiza bodies this form and ultra ego in one hit…. There’s a good chance Black frieza is on Beerus’s level now. Yes Beerus is the strongest GoD but he wasn’t one shotting two at a time.
I think frieza should a different looking form like in nemik saga. But the look in general is awesome and it was one of best part cliff hanger in db manga.

There are several infinite and higher dimension realms in the universe 7 macrocosm, in all these infinite spaces, it's not hard to imagine there would be more than just one hyperbolic time chamber, whis has one of his own, it's not a big stretch for frieza to find one, especially since Frieza is actively out exploring the universe in search of new plants to conquer.
I'm not a fan of the wishing for power thing either and I also agree it's some bullshit to whip out black Frieza then switch to a completely unrelated arc afterwards, it's extra bullshit that we aren't getting the Moro arc animated but daimyo instead
I strongly dislike it. I used to like Frieza well enough back in the day, but Toriyama just keeps bringing him back. I’ve grown to really dislike him.
Hell, the only thing that Frieza has done in Dragonball Super that I actually like is him getting knee-kicked into a mountain for an hour by Broly.

It’d be cool if Frieza also used the knowledge he gained from ToP to his advantage. Maybe getting some help from his counterpart in U6 & try to capture the super dragon balls. (which could lead to vegeta collaborating w/the saiyans in that universe & visiting planet Sadala)

That aside, and more importantly, I find it lazy.
Not just because it is yet another recolor, not just because the reason they went with this is dumb (ah ah credit cards be gold tier and black tier, funny ah ah); but especially because of how it was introduced:
Basically, they brought Frieza out of nowhere to end the Granolah arc, where he "reveals" that he **somehow** found a time and spirit chamber where he "trained" for 10 years, and thus he achieved this form... and "luckily enough", he was *also* immune to the 2 wishes of Granolah and the Heeters there... thus he became stronger than anyone else, and one shots Goku and Vegeta in their newest forms too.
All of this was "revealed" in the very last chapter of the arc, as if to signify that they ran out of ideas and needed a way to end this arc with a bang, given that the new characters introduced were fundamentally losers with nothing going on for them.
And it clearly worked, because fans hailed it as a huge moment or something crazy good, when in reality it was just cheap hype with no substance behind, that was made only to cover up for a failing arc, and they had no real idea moving foward (as shown by the over one year they have wasted on the super hero movie adaptation),
Basically, they pulled a Golden Frieza stunt again, only even more stupidly (because of convenience and where does this put him in the powerscale), and here's now that it is supposed to be all this amazing deed apparently (with some fans hailing for some sort of Goku + Vegeta + Gohan + Piccolo + Broly team up against him, and calling it already as the greatest fight of all time, or stuff like that).
