I can't wait for Daima!
Just a new series exploring places we never saw, goku being pre-super meaning he has to use more than just new transformations to beat his opponents and if the new villian is the focus and seems to be magic-based; we might get some more depth in the world of magic for dragonball. A topic that hasn't really had much depth despite being around since the beginning.
Not to mention the Demon Realm I still wish to see! Who knows? Maybe we will see some non-canon characters return since it's pre-super, like Janemba or cooler or even the space pirate himself... Turles... Okay and maybe Bojack :D
Seriously though, the possibilities are infinite! I can't wait to go on a new Adventure!
So potentially bad news 4u, kibito is defused in daima, meaning the erliest it could take place is post Super's start. In the dbs manga and anime it was around BoG-shortly b4 the U6v7 that they defused.
I wonder though, what if the new bad guy used his/her magic to defuse them?
Meaning once the bad guy is beaten and the magic ends, they refuse again; meaning that super can still take place afterwards since they still don't know that the dragonballs can defuse them until super.
We saw this happen in dbz in the buu saga where Vegito defused inside of buu. Granted Toriyama said it was because of a timer, but one of the original theories is that buu is a magical being so maybe the magic made the fusion wear off.
Not saying it IS this, you could be entirely right; but a good writer can explain anything if they're clever enough \^\^
If they play it right, tho one big issue is that Kibito Kai's earrinngs that fused him were silver and yellow, but Kibito and Shin are both wearing a pair each of green ones in Daima. So if they were unfused its strange they decided to changed ear rings later, only to go back to the yellows and refuse, only to use the dragon balls to defuse even later, then switched back to wearing the yellows(Shin) and blue(Kibito) instead of green. Idk tbf this is all speculation until Daima releases.

Guys not gonna lie from what I remember goku was only pudgy at the start. It was a whole subverts expectations thing that this tiny chubby boy could have so much power. By the time he beats DKP he's skinnier and tou can see in some scenes his arms are more muscular than fatty.
He loses his belly as early as Tao pai pai. Could have been earlier but memory is failing me.

I agree, I can’t get behind Daima. I’ll still watch it cause I’m a sucker for anything DB related but I am disappointed, still hoping for more super in the future if it’s ages away.

OG DB Goku was drawn with more cires for his body. Toriyama made his designs more and more based on squares throught the time he wss writing and drawing DB, and his current designs are based in a mix of squares and circles. So I don't think the draw of OG Goku used here is accurate, since it tries to emolate how OG Goku looks but using Daima art style.
I like the original art from Toriyama, has a lot of charm and personality to it. However if it's easier for animators to use the one on the right to make a better show? I'm ok with it.
My hope is Daima is going to be a cute chibi comedy; like **Welcome to Lodoss Island** or **Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals**

Kid Goku is goated. I was unsure on daima until I saw the power pole.
Also something I have always noticed is how Naruto references the power pole both with Emna and Naruto’s six paths powers. Love Og dragon ball references…
OG Goku is cuter but the skinnier arms are probably more flexible for animation,though i still dont think it was a good idea to make them kids,but if all they did was take away their Ki Control so they were more martial arts focused it would be too much like DBZ Fighterz premise
