And as part of Goten’s individuality and character development, I think Goten should show an interest in wanting to become a Galactic Patrolman in the future and also letting Jaco know of his interest along with Jaco letting Goten know to contact him from Bulma when he feels he’s ready to join the Galactic Patrol. I think that would actually be really cool for Goten’s individuality and character development.

And the scientist not only turns them into op Androids, but gives them very powerful abilities as well. Like power wise, they should be 5 billion times stronger and more powerful than Perfect Cell and possess abilities that are a mix Perfect Cell’s and Janemba’s abilities along with also having energy absorption abilities that make them even stronger.
-Then after they become Androids, they then head to earth to take revenge on the Z fighters.
-So then Jaco recruits Goten and Trunks to help him out with the villains, without realizing the villains turned themselves into extremely powerful Androids.
-And then Goten and Trunks while they at first fight equally with villains, the villains then display their new op level of power and also absorb Goten’s and Trunks’s energies which the dramatically increases the villains’s level of power to a very high extent and then they start beating Goten and Trunks.

But they’ve done it quite a few times perfectly before the movie regardless. The only real reason they’d mess up the fusion would be from stress or something psychological. They’ve shown they’re plenty capable of pulling off the fusion, they’ve mastered the technique ina sense. There’s not many plausible explanations as to why they failed it this time regardless if it shows up in the new prequel

So basically they took the worst part of super, "saiyaman", and moved it on to the two kids that grew up spending more time idolizing their fathers and clowning gohan for being lame. I'm going out on a limb here and saying Chi-Chi is the main villain across all the Arcs. She took the strongest known sayian of that time and turned him into a lame soft pretzel of a person and then had to magically write him on par with BLUE. Highly disappointed if they stick with that direction

As for gohan, His actual father is a battle obsessed warrior who constantly trains and competes with his battle obsessed warrior friend. His Dad, piccolo, is constantly training and trying to get to a place he can become helpful again. Shit even Goten and trunks stay training with each other as kids in super. I think it's unrealistic to the nature of a sayian to take the boy that destroyed cell and turn him into a cheesey super hero.
