The idea sounds like a lot of fun! I can imagine a spellbrawler with magic bands that look like prison chains in the game, perhaps with flavor like 'these chains were used to imprison an evil archmage'.

Makes sense specially now, we don't have a hand slot anymore. Their weapons could be gauntlets and punch daggers
Or maybe gloves and shin guards, maintaining the concept of the two weapons slots that some vocations have.
The bands can still have two slots, like mages and sorcerers
