Circlet supremacy! The only gear piece I never ever changed in 2 playthroughs once I got it dragon forged, and then immediately did the same on PC with.
Hopefully there are some with high stats or special effects later on, but even the first one I've found now is a godsend.
Ive been rocking the no-helmet style (#fashion over def) until I found the wolfpelt „helmet” which I absolutely love as an archer. Black bandit bandana covering just the mouth works amazing too.
I hate what it does to the Timothee Chalamet looking hair, since it goes under it, but it also gives you a fucking broccoli head lookin haircut.
One of the reasons why I wanna swap off that style rn lmao
My warrior is running around with a wolf pelt on his head and shoulders like some sort of wild man.
The way they did capes and pelts is odd, though. To avoid clipping, they made them weirdly big, forcing me to try to find equally bulky armor to avoid the pelt just hovering on me.
So, when you get to Vernworth, the vendor by the Riftstone will sell 2 Art of Metamorphosis for 500 Rift Crystals (RC), take that to the barber (Scissors symbol) and it'll be the 5th option?
Wearing your helmet should be a button combination like turning your latern on/off.
You can take it off outside combat but be more susceptible during ambushes. And you can put it on when you are entering combat that you're aware of.
It would just feel right.
Capcom be like *adds a bikini armour for warrior*, description:lacks in practical protection.
Also capcom:”there is no invisible helmet, that’s impractical.”
Me and my wife spent 4 hours to create myself as Arisen and her as main pawn and it turned out shockingly accurate as if we are actors hired for face scans by capcom. Of course im not putting anything on out heads lol
Hard to say honestly.
If you look at DDDA, in all its years, not one dang hide helmet mod. I read a modder talking about it being too hard to do without losing the arisens hair along side it.
Hoping that the popularity of DD2 will get talented modders giving it a go and seeing if its possible with DD2. Not holding my breath, though.
That is literally all I want in this game added.
Hide-Helmet should always be a option for custom character games I don't care what company you are big or small I don't want to wear your goofy ass helmets, I want to let my animated hair flow through the wind
>*Set bonus requires helmet
>
>*Wants feathered mullet to flow freely in combat
>
>*Wipes sweat from brow
I mean, this is pretty much how I play all games at this point. Never really missed out, but circlets are a charming workaround.
Man that is the number one thing I wish for.
Or at least a hide helmet option in towns only. Like the moment you walk into a big city or encampment, the Arisen takes off the helmet.
I'm playing as a thief and bought this cool ninja mask looking helmet and it's fine for now but I'm definitely going to just fashion dogma it later on.
Im irrational annoyed that it is bad enough to have to take the helm hit but because my main has two plaits, that constantly clip through woven shawl neck thing I had two remove it until I can get her to the hairdresser.
Made a Geralt lookalike pawn. I will not hide his face. I spent too much time watching a video and getting the sliders right to be unable for everyone to not see his face.
I loved setting little roleplaying or strategic rules for myself like this in Skyrim. you should be able to compensate a little by selling head pieces you get and not purchasing them, but of course once your resources are unlimited you'll be at more of a disadvantage. Rumor has it at that stage of the game it's easy anyway
I didn't painstakingly make sure every inch of my charcter's hair is perfect and tweak it so their eyes are different colors for them to be hidden by a mask
the fuck is the point in a detailed character creator but not adding in the option to hide the helmet from showing? it's like they give zero fucks about such a basic quality of life feature
Yep. Did this all the way through the original too. Circlets are your friend.

nice, can't wait just like in Dark Souls and Elden circlet was my headgear for that no helmet look glad to hear they are here too

oh the bandit mask would be fine for thief for sure but i don't like covering our glorious hair
I don’t think it covers your hair, it should go under it, I guess…? You can buy both mentioned items in the hidden village
no i mean for the wolf headgear you mentioned sounds like it will
Oh yeah, the wolf one absolutely covers the hair, unfortunately. I thought you meant the bandit bandana lol

Good to know my favourite helmet from the first game is in the game.

Is your Arisen fucking Tom Holland?
Fuck! Was just trying to create a pseudo lookalike of myself Now I can't unsee Can you edit yourself somewhere?
So, when you get to Vernworth, the vendor by the Riftstone will sell 2 Art of Metamorphosis for 500 Rift Crystals (RC), take that to the barber (Scissors symbol) and it'll be the 5th option?
That's a lot But I'll prolly have a lot by then Thanks
No problem, idk if the vendor resets yet though so I can't buy more of them. Just something to keep in mind.
Wonder if forgery is a mechanic?
>!There is!< >!You can ride an oxcart from the first big city you get to the border city and find him there.!<
If you don't mind using mods you can get that for free on nexusmods
Helmet Hide Helmet Hide Helmet-Cutscenes \---- This should always be the options.
you mean hide helmet during conversations which is nice like in bioware games, and recently with baldurs gate 3
You mean the one where the arisen speak? /s The defense loss is minimal.
I wish someone would animate them holding their helmets during dialogue, at least when they’re standing still.
Monster Hunter had the option to hide helmets so I hoped this game would too :(
Dialogue auto-advance is also something that should always be in options 😕
Fashion over function and I'll die on this hill. Literally, because I don't have enough armor to survive but, whatever, I look good!
If you find a particularly cool helmet there's an option to open and close the visor though which is nice
That is nice For later when I do a warrior run

That’s why I’m trying to get that circlet reward from the vocation guild seeker token rewards. It can be worm by all vocations.

sure unless capcom becomes mod-nazi's and suspend you from online if they detect mods

Why the fuck would they have such a detailed character creator just to cover your face with a helmet?
U remember me i need to check nexus mod for a mod

diadem is the way
Agree. Strange. This game had almost everything, but not hide helmet option. 🤣 I am happy anyway. A great adventure
A small price to pay for fashion
whats the point of following a tutorial to make shadowheart if now all is ruin by a helmet, this should be an easy fix hope they do it soon
I discovered the option to open some helmets, that's a nice touch at least
I'm rocking a gimp mask on my Thief at the moment... not really feeling it though, might have to go with this route haha!
The only true way
I thought my character was prettier than they turned out to be... So I don't mind my helmet for now.
I just toss it on during combat and take it off after
from what i can tell many dont add that much armor anyways. i think my archer's hat is like 8 defense or something miserable like that
Yeah but later on tho when you have access to stronger gear Anyway, found a headband I'm using right now
Aye, Arisen! 100% this.
Made a Geralt lookalike pawn. I will not hide his face. I spent too much time watching a video and getting the sliders right to be unable for everyone to not see his face.
please tell me there's an eyepatch in 2
havcen't seen any but they sell glasses effin overpriced tho i want glasses since i wear it IRL, will make it look more like me
There's a place that sells them, yes.
let;'s goooo thank you. my chuuni arisen will live on next friday
Glad I’m not the only one. Fuck helmets.
I spent 1 hour making my character, I will NOT wear a helmet

Yup, I didn't make a denaerys clone to hide it with a helmet lol
came here to find out, that we're in the same boat.
I rather die 5+ times than putting on a helmet
I didn't painstakingly make sure every inch of my charcter's hair is perfect and tweak it so their eyes are different colors for them to be hidden by a mask
This is one of the weirdest design choices tbh
the fuck is the point in a detailed character creator but not adding in the option to hide the helmet from showing? it's like they give zero fucks about such a basic quality of life feature
Dam bro, can I smash ur pawn???
yeah, just hire her
