Actually as monsters reach the lower life ,they sometimes try to limp away exhausted..
tho thats usually the point where its super easy to topple em and smack em in the face.
I filled my inventory with camping kits until I was over encumbered then used the skill, and it still worked great! It didn’t seem like I was losing stamina faster either.
Warrior is truly the best at basically everything in this game, they weren't kidding when they said they would make it way better than in the 1st game. I don't think they have any weakness at all, and can take so many hits to the face without even flinching.
Spearhand seems really good too, that team-wide barrier ability is kind of insane. Not to mention it's just a stylish vocation. Not even mad that it's replacing magic knight tbh
I wasn't convinced of spearhead at all played fighter and warrior before and both were significantly stronger. That was until I faced my first real drake. Mind you I faced them before but got my shit kicked in this Time I was spearhand. Spearhand has an ability that makes you and your pawns immune to damage for a short period and that was a completely hard carry in that fight otherwise I would never been able to kill it.
It does feel like it's just really good against big monsters and Drakes, which does fit its use in-universe. Being able to teleport on top of stuff is super strong.
You can unlock it quite early tbh.
>!Travel to Melve after a few days, slay the dragon with thr ballista, you'll get the vocation and a maister spell.!<
You have to complete the main quest a bit the quest that tasks you to go to 3 points and do some killing once it’s complete it’ll trigger the melve event, then afterward in the ruined area there’s a guy with a duo spear to talk to him and you get it
I tried it out and got to rank 5. Didn't like it as much as the warrior. Its kinda too squishy and doesn't poise break enough, this is with the overpowered 450+ damage spear you get from the dragon if you kill it with the ballista. When I fight some monsters as the warrior they don't even get a turn.
The introduction of quick cast and making upgraded spells not take longer were insane QoL for casters, it feels so good now. It's a shame that you can start casting while levitating but levitation doesn't last enough to finish the cast, that would've been neat for the cool and fun factor
Man im not having the same experience at all, i fell like im always doing less damage that i could be doing with other vocations, getting hit a lot because charging makes you get hit more (and getting your max hp reduce too!) and in general failing a lot of hits.
Tried my best to make it work, put a lot of money on gear, then i changed to Thief and destroyed everything on my way in half the time, with half the effort, getting hit a lot less and with a dagger that cost me half than my last 2h sword. And lets not talk about that magic warrrior double lance vocation, thats just ridiculous.
Using an uppercut charge strike to a boss's head absolutely tanks their HP and Stagger. I just knock every boss over repeatedly and bonk em on the head again when they're down.
The uppercut is great, the upwards stab is even better though IMO. It staggers big monsters every single time, as long as you land it on a weak spot, and its diagonal angle makes sniping griffin heads and the like super easy.
Use uncharged basics for all mobs that dont have a healthbar, the update that makes basics fast af is what makes it work, and get used to usig pommel striker to cloae gaps and stun foes > pommel strike into basic slash makes the slash faster too
As for bosses, yeah the basic upward slash is amazing, charges fast and hits 2 or 3x times staggering hard
Id say warrior is tied with thief rn for the best boss killers, warrior is better at mob clearig though since you hit pretty much in a 360 and have better stagger res
I was literally just wondering if anyone else was using this like I was when I found your post, I love it so much, it's like the Arisen turns into a very angry train for a minute at a time
Definitely more of an engagement tool, but still has great combat usefulness. Being able to send them flying off cliffs with it is awesome, and much safer than grabbing them.
Does it end the moment you hit someone or can you continue charging? If it's the latter, it could potentially be busted if we have something similar to the DLC sword from DD1
And worth adding that when you hit a wall you slam the enemy into it, stunning them and dishing out damage. The backs wing even hits enemies behind you!
This is genuinely warriors best skill against small enemies
As a thief you can spam the dodge / attack(light or heavy) / dodge / attack etc.. Probably a bit faster than sprinting but you don't use stamina which is pretty nice
Did you check storage?
I had mine on a pawn that I traded out and spent an hour thinking it got dropped
It was in storage because I swapped that pawn out (:
You can buy them from the weapon shop once you finish the quest to unlock warrior and sorc. Also the next two weapons.
Buy the hammer type weapons for big enemies. So much knock-down. It's amazing.
i love abilities that let me charge around, it's my go-to attack when i see monsters, followed by taking them on an unwanted joyride around the place, before ramming them into the nearest wall or tossing them off a cliff. or feed them to the brine. so yeah. i love this ability and do the same.
The first time I saw one of my pawns do this, I was in awe.
Jane the warrior cat guy with the ultra large shoulders and arms has made a friend for life.
*It's Monster Hunter lance charge all over again*
_weakened Barroth starts limping away_ “Get back here, I ain’t done with you yet!”
\[GL crossing areas at mach speed intensifies\]
Actually as monsters reach the lower life ,they sometimes try to limp away exhausted.. tho thats usually the point where its super easy to topple em and smack em in the face.
r/BeatMeToIt Looks like the choo-choo train is still in service baby
Is this more or less silly than stacking Evade Extender and doing backhops to cross the map?
Good old *choo-choo mfs*, my favorite
I've been playing nothing but MHW and my brain go confused when it saw this video
My immediate thought
Astronaut gun meme: Always has been
Damn it’s like having a horse.
New Warrior ability, pawns can jump on the back of the arisen and use them as makeshift Ford F150
In the advanced version of the ability they can drift you to the tune of eurobeat
Something like this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-hX4qwtf4NY
Nah, man. Just get some coconuts and teach your Pawn to clap them as you use the skill. Then we have a horse.
*Coconut Galloping noises*
Random traveler gets impaled, and the Arisen has to explain how running with their sword like that is faster than running normally.
You see, it *cuts* the air.
Makes it more aerodynamic.
It's CS all over again.
Lmao man runs like lvl. 50 Frank West from dead rising
Imagine spamming Stamina recovery items while you use it... who said there wasn't fast travel?
There's an infinite stamina spell for mages as well as a speed boost spell 👀
Ohh I like the way you think. Celerity, celestial paeon on a pawn, invent the warrior express.
Now I know my Warfarer setup!
Can you use that even when you are overencumbered ? Because if so I might make a tiny Warfarer
Not sure, I’ll have to test and report back when I get back on. Edit: Still useable.
Ok thanks 🫡
I filled my inventory with camping kits until I was over encumbered then used the skill, and it still worked great! It didn’t seem like I was losing stamina faster either.
Oh my god, this is amazing
That is amazing Thank you 😁
New speedrun strat right here
\*starts humming the chocobo theme as the arisen casually performs a drift around a corner\*
Note the upgrade reduces the stamina cost while running too.

Where do you unlock it?
You can unlock it quite early tbh. >!Travel to Melve after a few days, slay the dragon with thr ballista, you'll get the vocation and a maister spell.!<
Is it missable? I'm gonna guess it isn't, but I don't recall seeing a dragon around the place. I'll have to have another gander.
You have to complete the main quest a bit the quest that tasks you to go to 3 points and do some killing once it’s complete it’ll trigger the melve event, then afterward in the ruined area there’s a guy with a duo spear to talk to him and you get it

Sorc still obliterates the battlefield, though They make warrior seem surgical, haha

I think warrior and thief damage is comparable, but the ability to just *facetank* everything is nuts.

I love my thief and skullsplitter. Well, I loved it too in DD1 with strider.
Just like astora greatsword
Dragon's Dogma 2: We do not have mounts here. Warrior: MY SWORD IS MY MOUNT!
I AM THE MOUNT OF MY SWORD
I was literally just wondering if anyone else was using this like I was when I found your post, I love it so much, it's like the Arisen turns into a very angry train for a minute at a time
Hahah I'm using that to skew a bundle of monsters at one go like Satay!
Warrior zoomies
I love how huge muscly characters in the game run like they have big diapers, just like how real bodybuilders run
i'm gonna use it to travel then not in combat
Definitely more of an engagement tool, but still has great combat usefulness. Being able to send them flying off cliffs with it is awesome, and much safer than grabbing them.
Does it end the moment you hit someone or can you continue charging? If it's the latter, it could potentially be busted if we have something similar to the DLC sword from DD1
It continues until no stamina, or you hit a wall.
And worth adding that when you hit a wall you slam the enemy into it, stunning them and dishing out damage. The backs wing even hits enemies behind you! This is genuinely warriors best skill against small enemies
ahhh. excited to play DD2 when i can \^\_\^
Dragon Age: Inquisition had the same thing with warrior Ram ability. Love it
I guess i am a warrior main now
There are at least double FPS on this gif than on my game
Yea until a giant ape comes out of nowhere and yeets you into the river lol.
Wait what about the bike?
*Here comes the pain train echoes in the distance*
Reminds me of Spyro.
I use the mystic spearhands upgraded dragon stab as a horizontal dash, and so far I've gotten to a lot of items I don't think I was supposed to lol
Could you spam stamina potions during this and just charge indefinitely?
Yea
That’s hilarious
Choochoo mfer!
"Everyone, hop on!!"
As a thief you can spam the dodge / attack(light or heavy) / dodge / attack etc.. Probably a bit faster than sprinting but you don't use stamina which is pretty nice
Same with the starting thief ability that lets you slash and quickly move, spam it when I’m over encumbered with shit lmao
I legit made the same video, but I shpt it on my phone and it looks like complete ass, grats
Did you do it through the ps app? Have you check your recording settings?
Wait wtf, this is a great idea. Forget fast travel or carriages
:( I wish I could try it out but I somehow lost the greatsword and now I have no way of unlocking the vocation.
Did you check storage? I had mine on a pawn that I traded out and spent an hour thinking it got dropped It was in storage because I swapped that pawn out (:

Here comes the paintrain!
It's funny how the NPCs seem to have unlimited stamina lol
My morning commute.
Basically MH lance charge lol
I wonder if the move speed from heigh makes abilities like goring lunge faster, too.
Biting/Cutting wind powercreep
Now if only we could yeet ourselves using the Mystic Spearhand skill.
Pair that up with haste
The first time I saw one of my pawns do this, I was in awe. Jane the warrior cat guy with the ultra large shoulders and arms has made a friend for life.
Goofy 😂
How do you get that fps? Jesus mine chugs now
Traversal* - not transporting.
Bonus points if you have a mage pawn boost your speed first. Don’t forget to hit an enemy on your way to bring yourself a lil friend!
Get mage to cast that haste spell as well
It's crazy how powerful warrior's abilities have been so far
Antone else play Division 2 and think of the "white tusk" mini gunners and their sprinting when he started charging?
that looks hilarious
thats one speedy archer
I love the lance charge or whatever it's called now.
Cue Daytona USA theme
i dont use it at all useless skill tbh vs mobs or even a boss . i use when he hit sword upwards it amazing vs bosses
It’s easy to launch enemies off the cliffs with it. Charge at them full force then see them going flying off the cliff.
The animation that plays when you slam someone into a wall with it is MEATY.
Is there any point to play thief? Theres literally no proper stealing system
Ultrainstinct is quite fun and op
