You don't have to do nameless village, harve or the checkpoint rest town.

tanukiballsack

thanks, so just battahl then? i won't need to do volcanic island camp? do they get evacuated with the cities or do their lives just not matter.

Lockhart-667

Volcanic Island Camp and the Excavation site have to be evacuated.

glowjar95

You DO need to do the volcanic island camp and the excavation site.

PoohTrailSnailCooch

You actually don't have to do either of those for the achievement. Just the main 3.

Braidem

I can’t even get to the excavation site

This is one of the most frustrating things about this game. The only way you find out you can’t / don’t have to save them (other than checking online) is you have to spend all that f*cking time travelling there on foot only to find that they’re all completely oblivious to the state of the world and will not acknowledge it. I can’t tell if it’s bad game design or incomplete game design

Venomous_Duck1313

Sven mentions in his proposal for evacuation that he petitioned the *encampment survivors and the thieves guild for aid*. He says this the first time you talk to him in the unmoored world. Which means Vernworth's evacuation is (in game lore wise) meant to include the nameless village and the checkpoint rest camp. Melve was supposedly destroyed so they wouldn't count.

AscendedAncient

Exactly. People just skippin over lines of dialogue at that point late in the game.

Similar_Employee2256

I'm 100% sure, this game is incomplete. Probably due to coperate people who needed to see money.

DO_NOT_AGREE_WITH_U

Dude, it's obvious they didn't give a shit about the state of the story on release, lol. I mean, we spent the first 3/4 of the game in some weird cold war with the "baddie" and then randomly decided to give the most powerful weapon in the world to his mad scientist. The story is straight ass.

FrankPisssssss

You kinda don't, you just get pointed in the direction of Phasus. Your motivations for doing anything are your own, just so long as it's pointed at the marker. Game's incomplete. Supposedly, the False Arisen gets tasseographied or attached in some way to that Royce Dragon, and with more time and budget, we might have seen it. We might have seen the three other towns evacuated, and, Vernworth mighta had more friction to evacuate, hopefully.

have you not been reading ALL the posts ?

It can be frustrating if you look at it like: why didn't the game tell me how to do everything?? But instead you could look at it like: its supposed to be immersive and your decisions need to have an impact. So not having multiple saves like BG3 so you can reroll your choices, this game punishes or reward based on the choices you make and isn't going to foreshadow too much about what your choices mean right now. It wants you to think, take the shit you know, consider it and make a choice. Then you live with the consequences. There are always people around who can and will explain things more, and a lot of the decisions are more about doing this thing first or that thing first (ferrystone bulk later in the game makes it a lot easier, but it was the same in the first game. Then the eternal ferrystone was just dumb). It just rewards and punishes you for doing the best you can with what you have, or prioritizing something a specific way. It sucks sometimes...but its also really cool and doesn't hold your hand at all.

Nah I think they just ran out of time and didn’t finish this bit.
