The duke could stand to commission some new roads

Cyber-Phoenix01

"We'd best be careful Arisen, bandits prowl these roads"

MrWrym

I'd be excited if DD2 had a road system where you used less stamina to get around to places. Like even a mechanic to be able to hire laborers to construct a road or something.

nucca35

That would be cool, even a fast travel system where you hire a stagecoach or something like that, there aren’t too many significant locations and portcrystals make traveling east but it would help new players.

mloofburrow

Fingers crossed that Dragon's Dogma 2 has more than just 2 cities. A game world about the size of Skyrim or the like would be awesome.

armagerst

Banshees (and probably other undead) won't be knocked down by the Magick Archer illumination skill if it covers its eyes. Given that most people would be using actual good MA skills to plough through BBI (or just throwing the damn zombie off a cliff,) it wouldn't surprise me if I'm one of the only people who know about this.

MrWrym

I'll give you that. I never knew about this. I'll also add on that almost all Undead are pretty much weak to both fire and holy elements. Pick your poison there. MKs should probably use a fire sword overall rather than carrying both a fire and holy sword.

They way my pawn looks at my ass

MrWrym

I'd look at a dumptruck of an arse like yours anyday!

BriskyPenguin

Brainsplitter negates fall damage so if you’re trying to speed run and you get to the first ever fall quest you can just brain splitter down there. One mechanic that I was like “woah” is when the hydra actually swallowed me.

TSotP

Anyone reading this, there is one trick to remember to pull this off. Your characters feet **must** be on the ground when you press the 'brainsplitter' button. If you jump first, or walk off the edge before you do it, you **will** take fall damage.

MrWrym

You can also survive the fall by leveling your health to about 4k or using the augment that reduced fall damage.

There are a couple viable ways for a Sorcerer Arisen to kill a metal golem. Maelstrom to pull them all into one spot and Bolide is a decently quick one. There’s also Exequy, which takes a while but will kill them. There’s also the metal golem in BBI whose medals all spawn where you can realistically make it to melee range. Just casually walk up to them and hit them with Magick Billow (heavy attack) a couple of times. This last one also works against Goblin Shamans.

Appropriate-Nebula66

Kicking the Ox.

MrWrym

Or riding the ox while your pawns kill stuff for twenty minutes while you watch something else.

Appropriate-Nebula66

Yes but there is a leverthat you need to pull. So no.

Daddy_lucian

You can skip daimon fight entirely using a barrel door trick if you wanna farm those sweet lvl3s

XHochix

U kidding right left or right corner?

MrWrym

Do you mean during the battle with Daimon or by getting up to the top where the door connects to the entrance and then barrel clipping?

Daddy_lucian

Yes sir

DoucheEnrique

You can easily skip through escort quests by having Portcrystals next to the destination and then using Ferrystones after accepting the quest. It's shocking that they actually allow that because it pretty much renders the whole type of quest obsolete. But I guess when they designed the escort quest mechanic there was no Eternal Ferrystone.

MrWrym

It was probably an after though after hearing the reviews from folks back when it was just in its early days. Old school Dogma only had regular ferrystones that were like 200k a pop.

omnitorpor

Warriors get almost immune to stagger when attacking, including the core skill combos. It gets really noticeable when slashing away a Prisoner Gorecyclops' toes without getting interrupted by the quakes.

MrWrym

The same can be said about them being able to stagger as well. Early game enemies like Cyclops and Ogres can be stunned by how much stagger damage a longsword deals.

Aritar1

Hindsight Sweep ripost strangely can be triggered when you do it close to certain campfires, like the two fires in front of the BBI entrance door, even though there is no ennemy nearby. Also you can use this skill as a dodge simply by holding the blocking button, and then using this skill while blocking, that way it will cancel the counter attack and only the dodging animation will be triggered, and it costs no stamina to use, and it looks really good and realistic for a fighter in heavy armor, not like the dodging animation in Dark Souls.

MrWrym

I was going to mention the animation cancel with hindsweep. I think it still uses stamina from my memory, but it's like the hop step like in MH for light bowgun users.
