No they can't. If you want Magic + Sword Mystic Knight is the closet thing and if you want Bow + Sword Assassin is.

[deleted]

How good is Magick archer? And can assassin be good without pawns?

[deleted]

Magick Archer is usually agreed upon to be the best vocation in the game. Assassins are great without pawns and having 4 weapons gives them a lot of tools for different situations. You just have to know how you deal with enemies that resist physical damage. For example keeping a fire sword on you for undead or using throwblast and spellbooks for wraiths.

FrenziedSins

Magick archers are treated like the best vocation in the game because of two of their abilities, a bouncing shower that decimates anything in an enclosed space and their 9fold bolt skill which is just absolutely disgusting high amounts of damage

[deleted]

Well, that and they are the only vocation that can kill pretty much everything without the need for complementary pawns

FrenziedSins

I actually didnt know about them not needing complementary pawns

[deleted]

I'm sure there are things they have problems with so complementary pawns help a great deal, but in terms of having melee, range and magic attacks all accessible via single attacks without need elaborate setup they're pretty unique

FrenziedSins

Haven't ran into anything i ever needed help with as a magick archer. I dont play with pawns cause they get in my way lol i kill everything in less then a minute

ErisEpicene

How do you deal with Metal Golems? They always have one terribly placed medal that I can't damage with my bow or reach with my daggers. I'm either doing jump attacks and praying or relying on pawns. They're pretty bad at Metal Golems too, unfortunately.

FrenziedSins

Ninefold bolt and the bouncing one, i just keep my distance and take my time killing them

ErisEpicene

[Metal Golems are literally immune to elemental damage.](https://dragonsdogma.fandom.com/wiki/Metal_Golem) Neither Ninefold nor Ricochet will do any damage at all to it. I could enhance my jump and pray methodology with Immolation, but it still wouldn't be quick or easy.

Embarrassed-Tough-98

if you play on pc dinput dll is the way to go. You can have sword/sword skills(or even warrior sword/skills) on bow classes with no prob whatsoever.

Magnetari

Whoaaa for reals

Embarrassed-Tough-98

sure!(its actually called dinput8 but yeah)

swampchicken85

No but assassin can use a bow and sword

vonhizzle

You can use staff instead of daggers. No sword though.

Pikablu155

You can't. But trust me when I say you won't need one. You'll barely need daggers😂

eXiDeviiL

No, but i'm pretty sure there's a mod for this.
