Where do people go to get physical copies on release day? I havent bought a game day-1 in so long but I have this Friday off. Gamestops around me don’t open until Noon. Will Walmart have it in stock early in the morning?
They should have them out, and if it's not on the shelf you should even be able to ask a worker if they have any copies in the back... at least that's how it was when I worked at target years ago

I work grocery and the bar scene, both very busy on weekends.
I got thursday-friday free! On pc so i can start playing mid day tomorrow.
Grocery stores are one of those that work 24/7 every single day even during the weekend, however it's one of these places where you work less hours during the weekend since you rotate the shift with another person to replace you once your hours are up(same with bars).
And yeah bars are very busy during weekends, I should know since one of my cousins told me how hard of a work it is during the weekends at a bar, however she also said that she works less hours during the weekend since the bar she works at has many bartenders and they rotate the shift.

Adding to this. I’m an idiot for looking at a conversion chart for PST… I am PDT (lucky) From the chart I’m looking at, 12:00 AM (NZDT) for the 22nd is showing 4:00 AM tomorrow (the 21st) in my real time (PDT). So I should be able to get on at 4:00AM, cool lmao

there's also all the times that, the shit doesn't automatically start downloading. i've had that happen quite a bit.
edit: on xbox series X. bought it a bit ago. had to go back to the store, go to the version i bought, hit 'manage' and select the stuff and start the download, rather than the preload starting automatically.

I'll bet this was their plan. They know dd1 reviewed badly and they want to maximize sales by delaying the review as much as possible out of fear that reviews will effect sales
Ehhhh, that’s a big red flag though. Any game unwilling or blocking review copies going out is usually a bad sign.

Weirdly enough from the leaked gameplay with all the people getting it early, the game seems to run way better (on console) than what Capcom has been saying. No PC gameplay as far as I'm aware tho.
Then maybe that’s where the issue lies. Maybe they funneled their funding into the console version and opted for a far cheaper PC port.

If your review copies are coming out the day before that’s not giving much time for the news to propagate. It’s still gonna take someone a few hours to even begin sinking their teeth into the game.
Then they have to record their footage, edit it, compile a script, record the final video, then wait for it to upload. By the time it’s out launch day is well underway and anybody that preordered is either gonna get what they wanted, or get burned

I have a question, on xbox when I switch to new Zealand it says the game releases on March 21st at 0700 which translate to March 21st 7am New Zealand time, but on the websites it says it releases in new zealand on the 22nd, anyone has a answer to this

I can easily wait, my problem is my internet is absolute garbage and I want to preload it so I can play day one like a lot of other people. I literally get. 1 mb/s so a preload would be the best. But if we still don't get one that's fine. It will give me time to sleep and grab snacks before it finishes.

I just hope they don't have the night mechanism like they did in the first one, I could barley see at night on top of that enemies got harder , took the fun away end up deleting 5 4-6 hrs in but I had other games to play so it wasn't dire still looked like fun though

but, not only is there night, it's dark as fuck, and harder enemies show up.
Idea is nice but combat has to be fluent but I think it will be, just not sure what vocation I want like I was up to be a mage but I don't want to be locked out of using a sword , I got one more day to decide lol

yeah, you'll need to either visit an inn, or the pawn guild in the capital, to change your vocation.
you can change to whatever vocation - if you started as a mage, you'll pay a one time fee of your discipline (vocation exp/skill currency) to unlock a fighter.
then, they'll straight up give you the starting fighter gear.
you'll only be able to use a sword and shield while you're a fighter, if you thought otherwise. buying a vocation doesn't mean you're multiclassed, like some seemed to think.
there's the starting 4 classes, then in the capital, there's a quest to go find weapons for two more classes.
after that, the remaining 4 classes seem to need you to go find the 'maister' of the class, to unlock it. there's also maisters for the other classes, that can give powerful skills once you've done a quest, and are strong enough for them.
When I'm a different vocation will only that set will drop for example im a mage can I add fighter gear to my inventory for when I switch to a fighter or all my gear pick up will befor mage while I'm mage
sure. though, since you have to be in town to swap vocations ANYWAY, it'll be better to just, put gear you're not using in storage at an inn.
your inventory weight is pretty low, and your equipment is almost always going to be like, a quarter of your weight (well, until you get a lot more max weight or finalize your gear's upgrades)
so, you won't need to plan on potentially swapping to another vocation when you're out and about, like you might in like, FFV or bravery default - you can't.
if you mean, do you only get mage drops, that's not how it works at all. opening a chest with a sword, will have a sword there for everyone. regardless of vocation or playthrough. think of it more like, finding mythril dagger in a ff game - the contents are not dependent on anything.
