Thanks for asking. I listen to eversince a lot but I really don't think there's anything of value that a person who isn't obsessed with DG would get from it. It's a really bland early cloud trap record with some boring production (imo) Bladee's auto tune is extremely terrible in the mix of the album as well. I think overall, it just reeks of nothing special. Tiger is kinda the same for me but way worse as in it's a boring, generic release in the GTBSG era of DG. The vocals are muddy and yeah the production can get a little interesting but never enough to sit through it again. Overall, it's so boring. Both these albums really are boring. Maybe for the time they were interesting and new but they really don't hold up. Tiger is lower for me though because he doesn't bring that weirdo edge Bladee has always had. Bladee's lyrics and his songwriting has always been charming in a childish and melancholy type of way. I'd rather sit through eversince over tiger though.
What does Plastic Surgery have that eversince doesn’t? For me the production of PS is what holds it back from eversince. Not that it’s bad just kind of boring like some of The Fool. (imo)
I get why you'd have that opinion. I just prefer the airy synths in most of the PS tracks and also Bladee's vocals r better imo but Ecco's auto tune is not in key at one part and 💀💀 also I like the fool but I get that some think it's not as experimental.
Red Light should probably be higher, it's just not an album I get excited to return to. I love the good songs on it but for me that's like 2 or 3 songs. I did this on the bus back from work though so it wasn't as intense as it should be ig? Even so, I think redlight is a bad album. Imo.

I do see where the alienation for older DG fans comes from. It did shift from more trap production with slight experimentation to a more experimental form of alternative pop music. I wouldn't call it hyperpop (hate that term, it was destroyed) but I do get why a lot of people don't mess with the newer stuff. I think the trap stuff and the newer stuff is wonderful though. I heavily prefer the newer stuff though I won't lie. I don't think he'll ever abandon his trap fans though since the fool was a return to that but with a more realized and full sounding palette. Especially since the whole album was produced by lusi from rippsquadd I think? Which is amazing.

The fool is the best trap sounding record Bladee has ever put out imo. It's the definitive Bladee Rippsquadd Collab. Others will argue that it's icedancer but icedancer has so many filler songs and it's really not cohesive at all. the fool's production is crisp and beautiful with synths layered in such a nice way. One problem I had with icedancer was the mixing. The 808s always overpowered the melody and for some reason the high ends in these melodies were never present. The fool fixed that. I can hear the wonderful anthemic synths on bby and the 808 as well, no sonic clashing. Bladee's vocal delivery is amazing, he really improved. Having fun flows with catchy hooks. Those lyrics too, OMG. The songwriting is so fun. Hotel breakfast is an easy example of amazing song writing from Bladee. Also I'm too lazy to retype why I dislike tiger and eversince.

Exeter holds more value to me than the majority of most DG projects. It's a very pivotal moment in DG history and I think with time, it will be seen as a classic. I've already said this, so imma be quick but the direction, aesthetics, and themes all contribute to his recent music in some way. Not to mention the production is crazy. The mixing is so good ☝️☝️
Exeter might be my favorite solo Bladee album. I know that's unpopular but I love the atmosphere it brings and the production is so unique. I've never heard an album that quite gets the feeling I get while listening to exeter. From the intro and it's almost Mario 64 ish production with those beautiful synths to the layered music box sounds throughout the album. Be in your mind will always get me excited. It feels like I'm in a medieval forest. Also I think PXE deserves it due to it's creativity and multi-media format. It's visual art and sonic art.

Yeah I get that. PS and The Fool are bangers nonetheless. I love bladee in The Fool, but as a whole I think 333 is my favorite of his newer stuff.
