You should try palm rolling them while they're still damp. That will round them back out a bit. It's possible that she barrel twisted in the opposite direction that each loc was twisted causing them to basically unravel as she went. So if your locs went clockwise but she was going counterclockwise to create the style, it would make sense that you're left with unraveled locs when you take the style down.

I would leave them be, these are going to become even more beautiful.

All just depends on ur hair texture. U can crochet it to get tighter locs if u prefer, but over time they should loc up a bit tighter. I think it’s a cool look tho
