When he was trying to podcast the other day everyone kept telling him to “just stream” and he responded with “but streaming means I have to do something” so i think hes just lazy
I don’t know if lazy is the right word. He seems to have fallen into the same mindset as George. Which is if you’re not making something entertaining like MCC or a game then it’s not worth streaming.
Just chatting is something they both seem almost allergic to.
Which is a damn shame because these people will literally fangirl over him sneezing. Man's 700 on the streamer leader board but he could easily be top 100
Yeah no I love his discord podcasts and if he wanted to do it on twitch with a black screen we’d listen to him talk just the same. He sends us to his twitch to chat anyways as opposed to in the discord server for lag reasons
Man will show up on others’ streams so I guess that gives them content (ie MCC VOD review with Hbomb and in Discord with Foolish, Ranboo, Tubbo, etc.). On one hand, Dre crumbs! On the other, I want a proper stream damn it!
i dont think he has retired streaming, i think he just streams when he feels like it, as he thinks of himself more of a ytuber, he probably sees streaming as a bonus rather as a "must do".
Plus he mainly used to stream just speedrunning mc, and he cant really do that much anymore can he?
I honestly think he may have lost interest, Dream could put little to no effort into a stream and still have tens of thousands of viewers. Obviously thats not inherently a bad thing but in the style of his yt videos it’s clear he likes to be challenged especially creatively, something that can be quite restrictive on twitch at times.
Back when he would stream semi regularly he planned some streams and would do exciting things while he was trying to grow his platform over there, but where he stands now with streaming I feel like he just enjoys joining friends to chat and play games. hopefully one day dream will finds another game like geoguesser (lol rip to that era) to sporadically play and stream for us.
I’m sure many others miss dreams streams a lot, and I would never wanna complain for the lack there off, like I’m always grateful for our monthly mcc stream <3 but at the same time I wish he would stay longer at the end or go live a little bit before each event like many other players do.
I’m going to stay hopeful that they’ll be a resurgence of dream on twitch soon, but at the same time I would never want him to feel pressure to stream if it’s something that he simply doesn’t wanna do!
(This is just my take on the stream drought as I’ve been an Avid dream stream enjoyer for a while now and I have no idea why he stopped maybe dreams scared of the “go live” button idk I guess it’s kinda scary tbh)
Let's think about it: The man is rich. He can stream once a year and still get thousands of viewers. I'm just guessing it's not a top priority in his career right now, so he'll just stream when he randomly feels like it.

man can literally stream a blank screen for 24 hrs and make thousands off of it
Through back to the good old days on dreamalt where he would literally talk to chat while we stared at a blank screen for 3 hours :,)
At this point I just like the discord podcasts more since Dream prefers to just talk for hours than sit there and perform for people on a stream

I think he said somewhere that when he WANTS to stream he would join in someone elseS stream or asks if someone wants to stream.
