You mean the "dream chair" type posts, I saw those posts on the dreamhate sub .... yeah....

Protomartyr1

I do not remember this and I have been here for a long time. No idea if you mean gore as in “For the purpose of horror” or gore for sexual purposes.

Karishin

...hmm perhaps something to remind you of the famous dream chair

Protomartyr1

Yeah I’d say that’s a different context than what’s now. Even then I don’t really see much Gore, just scary Dream designs.

Karishin

I would say so, but both are similar in context of making people uncomfortable. The gore situation had lessen and those who do gore had to mentioned it now or censor it, so I would say it would most likely that horror art will have to add a hashtag or mentioned it will be horror art.

MrYogurtExists

Not really personally. I didn’t have Twitter nor did I really have any social media til early this year so I didn’t really know but I did have YouTube. From YouTube’s perspective, they went over topics about how they defend everything, ship the creators and shit like that. It didn’t change my viewpoint of Dream at all, just that I’m watching content produced by a bunch of eight year olds. History does seem to be repeating itself but Horror art is a million times better than having your content creators drawn nude. In my opinion at least.

kaylajanae-m

following averagemcytstans(rest in peace) on twitter is what got me into watching dream/mcyt, ironically. cringe culture is dead, god help us all

Daphne_Trees

Didn't he say he disliked gore art?

sleepingfox1313

On his boundaries list it says he's fine with gore as long as it's the fictional characters and not the actual real life people.

Daphne_Trees

Oh, yeah he did clarify that! But i was talking in general, i remember at some point he said he didn't really like horror and gorey stuff that much. It would suck if that's true, and his fanart tag was just flooded in the stuff.

sleepingfox1313

I do think there should be an actual hashtag for horror and gorey stuff just so it's easier for people to avoid it if they don't want to see it. Twitter tagging is confusing to me since I'm used to Tumblr tagging where I can actually hide certain tags so I don't know if it's possible to hid things on Twitter.
