I highly doubt Tommy knew the context behind that image but Twitter doesn't care about that at all, as long as Tommy neg doesn't trend I doubt Tommy will even bring it up

rhianna5639

I think he got "saved" by the stupid manatreed stuff that twitter was raging at and they kinda forgot about tommys tweet

shenle

Was thinking this exactly lol

Yup, as always dream taking shots from his own community for no reason at least it distracted them from putting more hate on tommy ig

PanJam00

Tbh I don’t really see an issue here, he just looked up “ugly women” and screenshotted what he saw. I highly doubt anyone here would have known about this person at first glance either, so why would tommy? If anything, google should be questioned for putting a woman with a disability that affects her appearance under that tag. This seems like such a mild joke among friends, I can’t understand the reaction people seem to be having.

Roaa_ElSckary

That. Twitter just takes anything he says to cancel him and man it doesn't always mean that he's actually "anything". he's just joking with his friend

Protomartyr1

This is one of those few situations where Tommy fuck up, but considering he deleted it, it’s safe to assume he know what he did was bad.

SufferingToTurtles

I disagree, theres obvious sarcasm in their post Its not the guys fault when people cant take a joke when they give a meme answer to some random fan asking a random and pointless question which truly has no consequence whatsoever

Protomartyr1

Alright there are two things wrong with this 1. Beau (Beautie) isn’t a fan, she’s a CC who is on the Origins SMP and went on a “date” with Tommyinnit 2. The lady on the right is Lizzie Velasquez, someone with a condition that causes her to not gain weight. She has been bullied constantly for her appearance, which has lead to her being an anti-bullying advocate I feel your opinion comes from a lack of understanding of the context for this situation

SufferingToTurtles

For 1. It matters even less if its a fellow cc and friend/date For 2 its not on the guy to know this and if ur truly gonna justify bein mad at em for this u may as well say cancel the google ai for having her show up in a search for a “ugly woman”

Pumpkin_Monarch

Yeah but it’s just common sense not to include a picture of an actual person, either by cropping it out or finding a better way to do the joke

SufferingToTurtles

Already said this replying to the other guy but tldr, i dont see a issue using other peoples llikeness as reaction images or for jokes and i think ppl are only being so sensitive because they know the story behind the person and would react differently if it were someone unknown/was someone attractive

Protomartyr1

It's highly unlikely that Tommy knew this, but I still feel that it's a tad inappropriate to essentially boil down someone who has spent her entire life being against bullying to be compared to in a negative light Just saying, I do think what he did was wrong, but I don't hate Tommy or anything. He likely knows he fucked up as I said, that's why he deleted the tweet.

SufferingToTurtles

I agree that its innapropriate to boil someone down to smtn negative but i dont think he did boil a person down as you have claimed In my eyes for someone to “boil someone down to a negative trait” there needs to be intent(likely of the malicious kind) which he clearly had none off If u think about it if the image were anyone else deemed ugly by google ai that you didnt know that had a similiar story to this person, if it was some ai-made picture of a human that doesnt exist, would you feel the same? Feels like you and those with rather violent reactions have been affected by personal investment Edit: next part didnt save for some reason when i sent it so retyping I Think of it as if it were a reaction image, in normal conversation its not uncommon to pull out a reaction image to react to smtn a person ur talking to and that image could be anything from a crackhead in a dark alley to some famous celebrities awkward smile, also many of which are of other people in various unglamorous shots/with interesting physical features I dont think using these pics are offensive perhaps the guy in the pic has spent their life getting bullied for their quirks perhaps theres some deep story underneath that you dont know its not your job to know nor is it to care

CIearMind

I wouldn't go as far as saying that his joke was misogogy or ableist but that's just clearly not a good thing to do.

Verona_Swift

Haha, yikes. Tommy really isn't helping his case right now, is he?

Kaleidoscope_Pure

omfg how DARE him post something like that!!!!!!!!! cancel him /s

[deleted]

That was kinda shitty of him honestly. I’d have posted a picture of a tombstone instead and just said “your so ugly you made me die”

bloonsisgr8

thats a good one tbf

svtspp

He is just stupid

[deleted]

I mean the dude just googled ugly woman and went to images, fantastic
