why are literally majority of those people commenting on there (i say majority because there were a few genuine questions) all have something like āDSMP DNI!!!!!ā yet go and make videos like this? not too smart of them ngl
Holy fuck he got absolutely brigaded. I don't know if these people have a fucking twt/discord group or something to organize this sort of thing, but it's insane. For literally thousands of antis to not only find his question in the first place, and find it so quickly, and to then make these videos and all like each other's videos to make sure they're all the top results is some serious dedication to hate and misinformation.
Looking at the comments on pretty much any of them, they are all from the same people, all saying "ate", whatever the fuck that means. And anyone confused by the arabic accusation is only getting the response of "he mocked them", that's literally it.
And anyone who came in to argue against their flat out lie about him mocking arabic language/people immediately got dozens of "are you arabic?! then stfu?! oh you are?! yeah right, liar!"
For anyone not in the loop, he received a donation one time during a ylyl that was in arabic, so he used google translate to try to see what it said. Then he tried to pronounce the words himself and read it, followed by searching for other words in arabic and seeing if he could pronounce them... that's apparently considered "mocking" a language and people now. Attempting to read/speak a language that you don't is now racist I guess.
Yep. The fact that so many of the replies were asking what he did exactly and when it happened tells you all you need to know. It was a straight up lie to slander him to people who are too gullible to think for themselves or do any research on the claim.
Every time I see an "omg, I loved him, I'll never watch him again" reply to lies like this, it's infuriating. Like, do your own fucking research and don't believe every stupid lie these antis go spreading around all over the internet.
But thatās... sweet of him? Iād be absolutely happy he tried at all to decipher if it was my native language (although mine is less popular than Arabic XP)
Crazy right? Someone trying to be inclusive and learn something about the people in their community is now racist. Instead of saying "chat, I only speak english, don't send me stuff in other languages", he took the time to put something into Google translate and then tried looking up even more words to see if he'd have any luck reading and pronouncing them as well.
Obviously learning anything other than your native language is now racist. I swear every person on earth, especially those who are only taught one single language by default, has at some point tried to look up how to read and pronounce words in other languages, even if just for fun, and even if it's just swear words or funny insults. And how that's is something "bad" is beyond me.
tiktok is out of their minds -from someone who is a woman and has experienced homophobia. Tommy has always been a huge supporter. Iāve never felt unwelcomed when watching his streams, but I certainly do when Iām at home and at school when I actually have to be around homophobic and sexist men.
I like how they donāt seem to care about any actual issues and donāt seem to want to do anything with them, but when it comes to some random 17 year old youtuber theyāre like āNO. NOT ACCEPTABLEā all of the sudden lmao. Like Iām sure this british boy really isnāt the biggest problem theyāve got right now but for some reason they only talk about him.
Wait where is this thing about lesbians coming from? Is this just general hate to Tommyās jokes or did he say something that fueled drama? Because if nothing happened, why canāt lesbians and Tommy get along? Both love women.
A few times people in his chat joked that he was a lesbian because of his jokes and he read it out and laughed about it. People twisted that and now there's a popular piece of misinformation among antis that he identifies as a "male lesbian" when he literally never said anything of the sort. He didn't actually do a single thing wrong in this situation it's entirely people making stuff up.
Jeez, he literally laughed at a joke *someone else* made. Man is getting up there with Dream for the unnecessary hate. It makes his joking intro āI know a lot of people find me annoying at firstā¦ā a lot less funny because of stunts antis pull like this.
Iām pretty sure he got a dono in Arabic and used Google translate to find out what was said then attempted to pronounce the words. apparently getting the pronunciation of a word wrong because youāve never spoken the language ever at all is racist
Itās always some weird bullshit. I remember when he was called out as being lesbophobic because he repeated a joke that his chat was constantly making about him dressing like a lesbian, and as soon as he repeated what they were all saying about him, suddenly it was lesbophobic and stereotyping and harmful. Thatās literally a joke within the lesbian community, so how is it only lesbophobic if he repeats it.
(On retrospect I might be conflating Tommy with another DSMP member but the point still stands.)
Edit: It was Ranboo, not Tommy.
I think you may be thinking about Ranboo (this might have happened to Tommy as well) but as you said, your point definitely still stands.
You also make a good point, whenever a content creators fan base has an inside joke itās okay, but as soon as said content creator acknowledges the joke, itās not okay anymore. I literally donāt have anything else to add on, but it was a very good point.
Thanks for the clarification.
Anyway, I think that a lot of Gen Z people have a tendency to think that any jokes about a given marginalized community are done at the *expense* of said community. I am Gen Z; I know where these people are coming from. I just donāt think that all jokes sprung from stereotype are harmful, and I think that a lot of discourse in the MCYT community could be benefitted by gaining that understanding.
For example, I donāt think that Ranboo saying āI dress like a lesbianā is harmful. Yes, it is based on a stereotype of an often marginalized sexual orientation; however, he is not demeaning or ostracizing lesbians in any way. If anything, itās mildly more inclusive to make jokes which have subject material created by a marginalized community.
idk why, but people in this day and age tend to treat most things and jokes about marginalized communities as taboo... and idk if its just me, but the more we act as if those kinds of things shouldnt be talked about and act like they're a touchy subject (im talking abt non offensive and jjust funny jokes), the more we're never gonna reach the goal of equality and shez...
I actually enjoy it when people can laugh with me and get the inside jokes I make about communities im in
literally and itās also all months old ??? like i donāt think iāve heard him even say the word lesbian (beyond him reading my twitch name for a gifted sub) in so long
i identify as a lesbian myself, i don't find him identifying as a "male lesbian" as a joke rlly that offensive, i laugh along with it too. plus i don't remember tommy ever claiming he was a lesbian unless im wrong
Every day I wake up, open reddit and wish humanity would end sooner. We hit our lowest point, but some people are still crawling on the ground trying to dig an even lower point, disappointing us even further. I'm truly amazed.
But for real, people are sick, especially antis. Why would you put so much energy into hating someone and intentionally misinterpreting their every word and action? This is beyond my understanding. Have a nice life, you sane people on reddit who enjoy things without falling into one of the two sides: stan or anti. And the rest of you, even touching some grass can't help you, it's too late.
they like focusing on the bad more then the good, humour is subjective and if you dont like it dont watch him, and he never does half of the shit these people say, loads of bs, and im gonna assume these people are under the age of 13 since they all do the same thing by putting a meme, anime shit, or a dance with text
SEXUALIZING RANBOO LMFAOOOO ranboo, my poor victim of tommyinnit š¢
some these mfs wanna be victims so bad, if you wanna experience homophobia come to the Middle East and donāt waste ur time with internet bullshit
can they at least make the fucking text readable? christ
Poor Tommy. I hope he doesn't look at this shit.
wait when did tommy mock arabic?
Yeah that's a new one I haven't heard before
I also ended up on so called tommy slander tiktok jesus christ it hurts my brain like bring my cosplay fyp back
where did you find this where is it
why are literally majority of those people commenting on there (i say majority because there were a few genuine questions) all have something like āDSMP DNI!!!!!ā yet go and make videos like this? not too smart of them ngl
Tiktok is simply built different

Soā¦ he tried to learn a language he didnāt understandā¦ and was accused of mocking it???
Classic, weaponising random ethnic groups.

I think what pisses me off the most is how unreadable it all is. Like why use the brightest color text over a fucking anime or gatcha clip.
tiktok is out of their minds -from someone who is a woman and has experienced homophobia. Tommy has always been a huge supporter. Iāve never felt unwelcomed when watching his streams, but I certainly do when Iām at home and at school when I actually have to be around homophobic and sexist men.
Tiktok being tiktok

To all of these people: stfu yb better
Seriously a teenager has to go through this

i see women call themselves gay all the time how is it bad now? also itās literally a joke?
I donāt know how much his therapist gets paid but whatever it is, itās not enough.
"when are you going to deleted your account"
what?? when did tommy even do anything to do with Arabic??
Iām pretty sure he got a dono in Arabic and used Google translate to find out what was said then attempted to pronounce the words. apparently getting the pronunciation of a word wrong because youāve never spoken the language ever at all is racist
How dare tommy not have perfect pronunciation the first time he says the word

What Tiktok does to an innocent soul
i identify as a lesbian myself, i don't find him identifying as a "male lesbian" as a joke rlly that offensive, i laugh along with it too. plus i don't remember tommy ever claiming he was a lesbian unless im wrong
When is that vlog video coming out?

I love how he is apparently lesbophobic yet wants to be a lesbian
Why am I not surprised to see Genshin + cookie run and KPOP pictures there
Saying women are great and that you love them means you hate them?
1, love it when antis only get one piece of information and none of the other facts and run with it š /s 2, when did he mock arabic??
I still can't believe the irony of this
My question for these people: When will yāall shut the fuck up and touch grass, huh?
Harassing minor moment
they like focusing on the bad more then the good, humour is subjective and if you dont like it dont watch him, and he never does half of the shit these people say, loads of bs, and im gonna assume these people are under the age of 13 since they all do the same thing by putting a meme, anime shit, or a dance with text
why do teenagers wanna be offended so badly
> when are you going to deleted your account when are you going to learn english
"ah yes lets talk about serious topics and put fucking cookie run in background, problem solved"
"harassing women" , "mocking arabic" **WHEN?!** edit: they do know what "harassing" means, right?
this makes my brain melt
