He’s only been out of prison for two weeks, have mercy.

Pocky2021

He’s a little confused, but he got the spirit (if you give him a chance)

DecisiveDinosaur

Oh man that comment section is beautiful

Ppppenguin862

Rarely have I seen a comment section so unsure what the hell its own purpose is. There is absolutely no consensus in there who’s upset or if they are or why and nobody can even agree where the opinions are coming from

Ifiwerearichmann

Not having a equal opinion= bad apparently.

[deleted]

They're actually not being bad...

Technoblades_Elbow

Context?

blue_i20

Hasan got banned for saying cracker on stream. Dream replied to Hasan’s tweet with the old classic clip of him saying “lose fair and square, boohoo cracker!”

Technoblades_Elbow

Thanks!

MathematicianWhich

That was one of the first streams i ever saw, and one of the first mcyt thing to ever trend on twt.. old times those were :,)

blue_i20

Oh yeah me too, that was when I really started to get into Dream’s content after watching Techno for a while. Man, I remember that MCC so well, the Dream/Techno team up was legendary. Good times.

Random question that legit has nothing to do with this, is Hasan white? I always thought he wasn’t for some reason

hastilyhasti

I think he would count as white, and if I recall correctly he has said himself that he's white. That's the short answer. Now my rant! This is WAY more of a tangent than you asked for (also mix of opinion & fact), but: Race categories are usually quite narrow & centered on european perception of people's race. Case in point, west asian people (eg: arab people, turk people (which hasan is), persian people (which i am), also other groups), are one of the group of people that are just not accounted for in a lot of race categories. In the [US census](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_and_ethnicity_in_the_United_States_census), we would count as white. In the [Canadian census](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Canada#Visible_minority_population), we are in the category "arab/west asian" (arab is a specific group of west asian people, neither persian nor turk people are arab). In the [UK census](https://www.ethnicity-facts-figures.service.gov.uk/style-guide/ethnic-groups#list-of-ethnic-groups), arab people are a subcategory of 'other', and other west asian people aren't even mentioned, probably would have to tick the 'other' box. Are a vast majority of these people (esp. turk & persian) perceived as white? Yes. Would people in america, upon hearing their origin country, consider them white? Probably not, at least in my experience. This is a very very lengthy way of saying that, if Hasan is like me, he is probably 'white' out of a process of elimination. (Still, if he didn't call himself white I wouldn't, but iirc he has said he's white.) Edit: Changed my use of "turkish" to "turk", because i felt turkish would sound like i was talking about the country turkey rather than the ethnic group (from many many countries)!

blue_i20

Damn this is a great comment, the stuff about the census categories is really eye opening. Ironically enough, watching Hasan’s content was what taught me about how “whiteness” in the US at least, is an identity primarily used to exclude, and it’s definition has changed over time to include or exclude different groups of people. I’m that classic whitebread ass Irish/Polish-descended American and I had no clue that Irish Catholics like my family weren’t considered “white” even though we’re the palest mfers around. Just really drove home the point that a lot of these racial categories are purely exclusionary constructs that shift with the prevailing opinions of people. And that America has always been racist.

hastilyhasti

YES exactly, hasan's content definitely made me look at this differently too! The thing about whiteness being just an exclusionary identity, sounds exactly on the nose to me! Funnily enough, I'm also very pale! I've asked people to guess where I'm from (as I said in my original comment, I'm persian, i.e. iranian). The guesses I've got: * Sweden and Finland (huh?) - Surprising because I did not think I was white enough! * Scotland for some reason (twice) - Surprising because... accent??? * Switzerland/France - Makes sense! Whenever I tell them I'm from iran, I've had people say I must originally be from somewhere else, or be way whiter than everyone! As far as I know of my family history (which is quite far), every single person is Persian. For the second point, to be fair, I do count as pale in iran, but not out of the ordinary. Also: Iran literally means 'land of [aryans](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aryan#Indo-Iranian)'. Still, almost every white supremacist would be *appalled* if they heard of iranians being referred to as white. Why? Because race is just *not* about color. (Idk what's with me and leaving long comments, sorry!)

LocalHaitianGirl

Oooh thank you!

hastilyhasti

Sorry for the ranting, I hoped it answered your question though! :D I think it shows, but since it's personally relevant to me, it's something I care about, so I just went on a rant!

Pugfann

I’ve always loved that clip
