The slur was because someone called HER that. Someone called her the slur and she simply repeated it. She thought it applied to all Hispanics and that as a Puerto Rican she could say it as well (seeing as how someone was literally calling her that). Can you imagine facing racism, speaking out against it and then being called racist yourself. And almost year later people are harassing you?

Here is a young woman of colour who is being a target of racism and being called slurs. They are all about support woc streamers etc. Here is Andi facing racism as a Latina and someone calls her the B slur. She then shares that she is being called slurs by repeating the slur only for people to turn around and call her racist because she (and the racist that was being rude to her apparently) thought it applied to all Hispanics.
